I’m starting to get interested in MANA and Decentraland.  It seems to be a good concept for virtual real estate and the future of virtual reality.  Does anyone here own any property in Decentraland?
Please, explain to me how virtual property could have a value and why I should be interested in buying and owning such property? It doesn't make any sense for me.
Virtual property can matter just as in games it matters ammunition and everything like that. With this project, the guys looked far into the future but how would they live up to it and not lose motivation.

The concept is pretty good, however this type of game can really only work if the team behind the project managed to generate sustained hype over a very long time period, e.g. something that Fortnite has managed to achieve.

Instead, Decentraland is pretty much barren these days, nobody cares about acquiring rare parcels and land and very few companies want to develop in the Decentraland world.

As such, the team will run out of funds and it will fail to become what was promised.

It’s barren because it hasn’t gone live yet.  It’s in beta right now so it’s being tested. However you can buy land and build with some limited tools at the moment.

Despite being in beta, Decentraland hasn't taken off like it was supposed to, and development is slow because the team doesn't have any idea what they're doing, nor the funds to build anything meaningful.

Another big player in the gaming industry is going to come along with a bunch of partnerships and just blow decentraland away.

Give me one reason why this can't happen?

concepts and ideas from MANA are interesting, where they have 2 million plots of land to sell for 1000 MANA, which means the land is traded virtually or in other words virtual to real estate. This is a good concept, and I think with that goal, MANA will get more attention from investors. but I really don't hold it, because it doesn't guarantee either that the coins will have good potential in the future.

Actually I think there are only 9000 parcels of land but I’m not sure of the amount. There are supposedly companies that will be developing land in Decentraland for various things like games and shopping.

It's not a good concept in my opinion. We know that the real service of real estate is much better rather than try to create a virtual real estate. Remember VR is not globalized and that must be the reason for decentralized goes to the bottom right now.
It looks like none owned the property from the decentralized. This is my first time to hear about that, is there a successful trade that happened with MANA?
This idea looks very promising for short term but i doubt about the long term of decentralized. People are more interested in propy but the speculators are still actively doing trade on mana.

It looks really good. This is something much better to invest in then most of the useless tokens that are little more the social media and a website. I like that they have something to show and you can use the builder already. I think you buy NFT items to use in the builder. Hopefully one day most things are done this way instead of licenses. Pity they never had a bounty. I wonder if you can and how you can profit off of owning land. It would be great to design and own your own plot of land.

I have heard of Decentraland before but I did not have much time and interest to get to know more of it. That was the time when altcoin projects are so many and most of them are not really serious enough to pursue their project. Many of them failed. But it is apparent that Decentraland is different. It seems growing until now. It appears to be a nice coin compared to so many shitcoins nowadays. I don't understand enough of their two tokens though, MANA and LAND.

Yes it’s experimental, but the idea is that you own a piece of land in a virtual city. You can build on it and walk through the city like walking through a video game. Eventually it should be more interactive to include shopping, games, etc.

Nice. Experimental is nice but of course people wanted to see how the things progress on their platform. Every project has its own objective right? Id Decentraland and mana are virtual experimentation that focusing on virtual building. This could be big in the future. Are the team not anonymous here? I feel like these two projects still worth a dime in the future.

Upon quick viewing of the website https://decentraland.org I have concluded that it's a type of Minecraft thing? Because you are going to build stuff. It's listed there a couple of key ideas:
  • Earn money from your creations
  • User controlled
  • Built by users
  • Rewarded creativity
  • Decentralized marketplace
Their main idea is to make your digital assets come to life by building. I don't know how they do it; it's just how I see it on their website. Everyone here should take a look.

I don't have a property in decentraland. The platform's objective is good but I was confused at this;

Decentraland uses two tokens: MANA and LAND. MANA is an ERC20 token that must be burned to acquire non-fungible ERC721 LAND tokens.

Isn't too complicated to use two tokens and one has to be burnt? Looking at the chart in CMC, the token itself hardly recover just like the other altcoins. Just think twice investing to this token. Therr are other real estate blockchain project out there that has more potential than this.

Maybe the concept is interesting according to some people, the project as digital entertainment world such as 3D creations, playing games, socializing, and VR videos.

But if you look at the market it seems less interested, and maybe it could be defeated by other platforms. At present ROI is not decreasing too much, or not too severe and maybe if the Team focuses more on products and develops marketing strategies, the price may improve. But I think the concept of this decentraland project, not very interesting, is very different from the concept of social media-based projects which are currently trending.

Regularly more unique projects get to reach the market, but how this turns to be a success isn't clear as well as the team associated with it is responsible for the growth. In my view this could get long term profit out of the investment if the team is much dedicated as there is more room for property based investment. When people learn about the decentralized access they'll look for investment in the similar pattern.

I've seen that coin always included at the top 100 but never looked deeper into it. And with that virtual real estate program that made me interested looking into it.

Wow, after I checked their main page. The welcoming 2d effect of the nature is fascinating!

I see so this is a kind of game, thanks for that explanation I don't have to dig much into it now.

People who want to get more information can visit the site: https://decentraland.org
it's my first time heard about decentraland and i just visit the website but my impression is not very good because if you visit the website you will saw a good building but then i visit the marketplace it's totally different.

But did you bought a property there? if yes can you share how it looks?
I guess you misunderstood the project, MANA has nothing to do with property. Check out:
Quote
Decentraland is a virtual world where you can build and explore 3D creations, play games and socialize.
The decentraland experiences are currently being built by thousands of LAND owners. Once they are ready, you will be able to explore the world on your computer, phone or VR headset.
That is why you misunderstood what you saw in the marketplace.

First, MANA and Decentraland is the same Smiley So you can not interest with both.

Second, Mana was one of the coins that were followed and won a lot in the previous bull season. But if another bull comes, I think it's too late for MANA anymore.

I do not have a clue about this concept of virtual real estate. Sounds very interesting!
If you have any information regarding this concept, can you please share with us.

If you do try to flashback into these kind of projects wayback before then all of them failed. So i can presume that they would still go to that path.Im not directly
concluding but you cant avoid to have the same perception into these real-estate based projects. Therefore, i will surely pass on this one.
