Well bitcoins will be number 1 in mostly every different aspects you mentioned but currently main problem with bitcoins is that transactions takes alot of fees and still take hours to be confirmation whereas other coins has much faster speed with less fees.But as soon as bitcoin get LN, transactions fees and speed problem would be solved.

Freedom of control easily, as one no longer needs to trade with intermediaries one can avoid unwanted fees and hindrances of trade speed. It's increase in value makes it a very valuable investment as it's rate of return is exceptionally high. I think it is number one because it is the first cryptocurrency and it is very successful in the market price value. It's getting more and more popular. It's hard to hack it, it has high speed in transactions, it's very decentralized.
From my point of you Bitcoin is number one because it is easily acceptable everywhere (I agree in not many countries), gives us the highest security, provides a transparent network and So on. In addition to all of this, there are a fixed amount of Bitcoin network all of these things make Bitcoin a perfect tool for everyone. One of the bad thing about Bitcoin right now is the transaction fees which can lower its value. All the other coins on the market have definitely the lower difficulty and transaction fees than Bitcoin has and can beat bitcoin other bases.
For me, decentralization, usability, good developers and a solid user base are what makes Bitcoin to be the number 1.
At this point, the marketcap is not a good metric to compare Bitcoin's performance to other cryptos, since it can be easily inflated. Maybe we need to find out new metrics to make such comparisons.

What they mean by “bitcoin is number one” is that they own a bunch of bitcoin and need you to buy so they can sell at a massive profit.
