Reward is very important for a project to promote, compared to a successful project is also the need for marketing. Right, and the airdrop. A short period of time can also absorb a lot of people. The current popular vote is on the exchange. It's a reward, too.

Bounty is a great way of helping their project to be known to others..not all people are aware of all icos..once bounty campaigners posted link to pages and social media account, people will see it ,check it and invest it if they find it a good and legit project..airdrop is a way of giving thanks to their supporters..its also a way of building  a big community.

in the current generosity, betting and contests there is a lot of scum and a lot of tokens that are not traded and are not supported by anything, there is no responsibility

I am confused by this but in my opinion bounty little help for promotion and rest is used for benefit of the ico for example increase the volume of trading, giving their investors the opportunity to buy coins at a low price because usually bounty will do dumping the price is pretty, contest or airdrop almost like bounty but not very helpful in promotion

Or nobody would buy coins at all, it's really depends on project itself.

The question is when will bounty die?
I think bounty will never die, any ico project or already on the market will still need promotion for the progress of the project. Bounty will increase the popularity of a coin, and will certainly increase the number of communities that will have a good impact on the high demand of the market.

For me my current bounties are very great and I hope the price of it will pump up. Then I keep supporting it until the end because I see all their potentials. And I think this projects will be on the top soon and I will not regret joining on it.

Now i see very very long bounties at about 12-16 weeks and very small pools for participants at about 200 000$ for all bounty campaign per ICO. I think bounty soon will die bacause we've got a lot of users and small pools now.

Yes, bounty job is harder now. More participants long periode 2 to 4 months even six months. Low price after ICO. The worst thing of ICO now is not transparant about the investment address. That is why bounty or ICO will take longer. Investors will not interested in closed funding. They prefer open audit funding so they will see the progress of  the ICO. They claim they reached hardcap. In fact the market price is lower than ICO price. I think the dev lie to investors because impossible the price under ICO for long time.

So, I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on current bounties and airdrop as an element to help projects. I have a thought that it does not help to attract real users or investors who would invest to a startups that want to raise money through token sale. But in case of existing projects that already work with crypto and have their own coin on exchanges is a different story. What do you think about using bounty or contest for a project that is working and have its coin on exchanges?
in my own opinion, airdrop is only for attracting free coin seekers, if to increase sales I do not think, different from bounty, they work to advertise an ico / token. so in revenue, airdrop does not really help ico sales. hope it helps friends

You don't need to do any airdrops if you have your coin listed on exchanges, Promotions such as airdrop/bounty is for the fundraising part of the project and once you list the coin on exchange you're good to go. Bounty promotion is good for ICO's to attract more investors and have more exposure.
I think the bounty thread is very helpful to the project team, but the air drop is not very helpful to the project team.
Most of the time, air drops only attract people to sell tokens, and even negative publicity for the team.
Yes, Most of the times doing useless airdrops is wrong since people can see if the token is a junk or not, Sometimes it is the best marketing strategy and it has worked well for a few projects before.

I think airdrops were ok in 2017, early 2018, but now its useless and if you list your token on an exchange it can fuck it up pretty hard with all those people who got tokens through airdrop.

I must agree with you here, but what about projects that do contests for their tokens? And they are listed on exchanges, would it be bad for a project?
