I'm personally very excited by DeeOnion : the Tor thing can seem a "marketing" feature, but if it works well it could be a huge success

I see a very high potential for this coin, it's just the beginning now

TOR by default is a nice feature. It doesn't guarantee anonymity, but it is a good base line to start from. The roadmap for Deep Onion is ambitious. If it all comes to fruition, including workable DeepSend service, then I think it has a big future.

Privacy/fungibility is the next battle for cryptocurrencies, so I think this is an important project.

Hello, I saw some topics about this new coin and the airdrops. Im not specialist in cripto-coins so I want to know your opinion about this coin and if it is a good investment.
I have some dollars and I would like to buy a coin to hold for a couple of years and then sell it. Probably  BTC is the safest idea but i dont win to much money. Maybe a new coin would give me more money.

this coin has a huge bounty program. it is not an airdrop because you have to do something e.g. wearing the sig in this board. the only propose of this bounty program is to tell the world that the coin exists. and the devs won't pay more bounties than they earn or hope to earn in the future. so everybody who is wearing the sig is just advertising - like i do with my sig - and be paid with dust compared to what the devs will earn if the coins will be a success. be a success i mean that the price goes up and devs can sell their coins.

When i first heard about deeponion , some says that its a scam but i dont believe them . I search for their ico and all i can say is they are just like all the icos ive seen, i dont see any scam in their bounty. They are working just to make the ico successful so if you want to invest its up to you .

As for me it is one of the most promising coins for now. I believe in free distributed coins as only users define value of coin, wider adoption define value. The more people have it the more potential value it have. Not miners, not devs with million dollar ico without working alpha but the people. So it is worth to try, you will not need to pay money but need to put some efforts. Good luck with that

This project is really useful, because it allows to you to be absolutely anonymous: your real IP address won't be shown in the network because DeepOnion works through the TOR network.

Let's be realistic, though. That's not "absolutely anonymous" at all. Law enforcement agencies have been running TOR exit nodes and honey pots on the dark web for years now. It's a lot better than being tied to your ISP's address. But it's not anonymity.

One should always run a no-log VPN beneath TOR as an extra line of protection if you are really concerned about privacy, and if you want to protect yourself from would-be snoopers. But even TOR + VPN is no guarantee in this day and age. But it at least means you won't be low-hanging fruit.

DeepOnion is getting higher value every day, one reason is that the whole community is not selling the coins, at least not until after the 40 weeks of the airdrop that is running these days!

Deeponion has privacy, a bank in your hands untraceable.

Better not to do it. I think this is a Scam, proof of this was already posted here. Look at the forum! Better buy Ethereum and forget about it for a year, the results will make you happy)

Why is it a scam? Can you post the source to this? I'd like to read about it since i don't know much about the project..

DeepOnion is one of few coins these days I really believe in. The fact that it is using TOR as connection makes it good enough. There is no ico, no crowdfunding and their airdrops are really generous. Planning to be part of their airdrops when I become "Member" level.

I feel ya, im more active on steemit than here, but ill work on moving up here as well to become a member and earn some deeponion while I can

This campaing is one of the best in promotion. A lot of people from the cryptocommunity know about it and take part in this project and in the the discussion of it!

You're right. The idea of combining the 40-week airdrop with signature campaign was a great idea. Thanks to this, DeepOnion is now well know probably to everybody on BitcoinTalk forum and the community around t is pretty big and growing. With such big community support, I believe DeepOnion can be very successful.

I think its a good chance to be part of something BIG. They are doing a good work, the idea of giving the chance to the community to participate is amazing. Maybe you can hire people to do jobs for your Coin, do Crownfounding, etc but always gonna be better if you put 400 people to make an expanse plan than 5 guys.

I totally support what they are doing. Congrats to the Dev Team.

I believe creating a coin associated with deep web is a poor idea.  Law enforcement has been very active in the deep web. They have taken over tor servers and repeatedly infected users with malware.
I am not suggesting that the deep onion coin will be used for nefarious purposes.  This is a moot point.  Law enforcement is thoroughly entrenched in the deep web and any well known projects including this coin are surely being monitored.

https://www.wired.com/2013/09/freedom-hosting-fbi/
https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20161108/07362735989/unsealed-warrant-shows-fbi-malware-affected-innocent-tor-users-while-agency-ran-more-than-20-child-porn-sites.shtml
https://techcrunch.com/2017/08/08/fbi-account-of-tracking-and-arresting-an-online-sextortionist-is-grimly-satisfying/

I think your well off the mark here William.

From what I understand the association with the deep web is merely to ensure privacy of transactions.  Most news groups and a hell of a lot of governments use the Tor to ensure secrecy.

Are you telling me that Law enforcement will shut down major news corporations and government departments. US Law enforcement who somehow imagine they can police the entire planet have no real jursdiction here, in a communication method created by their own government.
