DeepOnion is one of few coins these days I really believe in. The fact that it is using TOR as connection makes it good enough. There is no ico, no crowdfunding and their airdrops are really generous. Planning to be part of their airdrops when I become "Member" level.

I don't think DeepOnion offers something that is needed in crypto so I don't see it going super far, but that's just my opinion. On the other hand they have a strong community. Like someone said earlier just use what people suggest to spark a thought in your head, but don't base any moves on what people say. Check out the website, roadmaps and whitepapers and ask yourself what problem does the coin solve.
I agree with you on that comment about DeepOnion. People like to invest in things that can get them super rich, DeepOnion does not show that they have the potential to do that. With the large amounts of coins that they are distributing to the participants in their weekly campaigns there won’t be that many people wanting to store the coins for them to dump later on because if you research their ANN thread you could see that a bunch of participants were removed due to them dumping their coins right when they received their share in the campaign that DeepOnion is doing.

Well on personal opinion, It will be brought by hype because of the popularity of Tor. I hope in any way they are affiliated with each other and have a great support from Tor. But still in the end, its the community that  will push this project into success. The community of supporters has a great role on this.

Aside from the value of the coin itself, using DeepOnion is something good by itself, it helps to strengthen the TOR network. When you are staking DeepOnions, you indirectly add hidden nodes to the network, and this is really, really nice.
The more people use DeepOnion, the more TOR is resilient.

Imagine if a million person use DeepOnions to make their payments, every day... That'd be awesome.

And since you're not an exit node, you aren't in shady water, legally speaking. Smiley

I personally believe in DeepOnion. On the one hand side in terms of the technology, which is for me the basis. But also in terms of the community and the development activities I can witness through the community. In general I believe on projects, were insights are given into new developments and deepcoin is currently working on new developments like deepsend. Sure I carry their signature. But you can simply convince yourself just joining e.g. their deeponion forum.

In my own opinion, I don't like airdrop projects because most of those projects are hard to thrive. On the other hand, ICO projects always show the hidden potential that the project brings through the capitalization of the project's fundraising. You can also make short-term investments with DeepOnion, but in the long-term it depends on how the technology and the development team work.

Hello, I saw some topics about this new coin and the airdrops. Im not specialist in cripto-coins so I want to know your opinion about this coin and if it is a good investment.
I have some dollars and I would like to buy a coin to hold for a couple of years and then sell it. Probably  BTC is the safest idea but i dont win to much money. Maybe a new coin would give me more money.

I did some mining, but then I stopped since they haven't make an agreement with high volume exchanges. I'm not a person who can hold tokens for lung run. I sell whatever I mine with my hardware.

Anyway, they made a good advertisement with their airdrop program.

Work is one way but investing in altcoins - especially in these times - is another way to make money. I looked into DeepOnion some time ago but I was not convinced about the project, so I decided not to invest in it. Today nearly all ICOs are oversold. This is fine if the project/coin really delivers or already provides great tech, but I can not recognize this for DeepOnion. There are a lot of competiting projects in the domain and I think, in the end, there will only be remain one project in each domain. The winner takes it all. The moto of the distrupting era. And I think DeepOnion will not be this project. Just my opinion.

If u want to make money, then work. Altcoin trading is as good as gambling. Better try a gambling site.

With any investment you should do your research; my opinion and others can be a data point but really the most important pieces are the roadmap, the people, and the community around the project.  Hop over to the official site or click my signature if you want to learn more.  What I can say; the devs are very active, the community is super engaged, and there's a very real problem here to be solved.  I have a bunch of coins and could sell 10% of them now for some easy cash but I'm holding them because I see a strong future for the coin.  Its market cap is just over 3MM so plenty of room to grow.
