To me this is a sensitive subject. These are games that kids play and these games, like Dota2 has gambling built into it. Which is fine because its done in a way that it can't get addictive but still, this is like exposing a very vulnerable section of society (kids) to the vices of gambling.

Any future where this becomes a mainstay should be done in a way where kids are at least left out of the hardcore gambling system.

Most of them will but I don't like to see the traditional sports die because of the innovation. This is why there's Olympics and other traditional competitions that are held from time to time.

I'm aware that there's also an Olympic type for e-sports like WESG where many games are held into competition and e-sports professionals are coming to that event.

E-sports that includes mobile games will be a blast for the next few years. It's now getting more popular and players have been looking for some place to bet with. And this will be considered mostly by the local betting sites but if they will not put attention to it, there would still be a way for the bettors to bet. E-sports industry is no longer a doubtful industry. Before it was very unbelievable to see its success but now, some popular games has already integrated it with gambling.

^ Definitely right, through our millennial generation majority of a young age people are depending on the gadget. So, no doubt that e-sports and traditional sports betting will be combining each other. But as of now, let just adopt what it is. It is a matter of time will take before we conclude that traditional sports betting and e-sports are the one.

Yes, they are very different

e-sports are growing, no doubt, but they are not so popular with people with 40+ age, and not so popular as soccer, tennis, volleyball etc

If you look to the enviroment, there's a huge difference about brands, events, sponsors etc

Indeed, ordinary sports and e-sports do not have too many different points, gambling and betting are probably similar, I can even say e-sports is easier to predict than normal sports because the level and skill of the teams is too obvious. But the type of e-sports betting seems less popular because of two reasons, partly because of the relatively little tournament, the rest is probably the needs of gamblers, they are not too focused on e-sports, mostly focusing on king sports, so gambling with e-sports is less developed

It is far more easier to set rigged games up in e-sports and nobody will be able to tell the difference.

One way or another one of either side is going to win (or draw) but I wouldn't advise you to make your bets solely based on your researches. The "luck" factor is higher than you really think and every once in a while it is not even luck what decides the result of the game.

Provably fair dice games are probably more honest than these games but e-sports surely has a solid fun factor in it especially if you are also a player.

I think the two don't have to compete to get the most preferred one, basically gambling is also about games right? and E-sports can also contain gambling you know, because frequently many players actually bet who will win and gain profits each others. both are sustainable for me.

You know, most of the games right now has the lootboxes, where they buy a treasure, a cratebox or something like that. That is a gamble, gamers or players buy these expecting getting something nice, a Startrak, an immortal or super rare item that they want to that they can brag to their friends.

Esports is a fast growing industry in our current generation. As a gamer myself, I'm proud that it become acknowledge as a type of sport. On the gambling side, it would always be there as people always finds a way to earn money from something. Now some sportsbetting sites offer that service where people can bet on their favorite team or player just like a normal sport.

Indeed, there is no significant competition here. Sports gamblers will stick to the sports they are fans of. Bettors on football matches will not leave football betting simply because eSports betting is growing big. Bettors on cricket or NBA games will not quit simply because Dota 2 or Fortnite betting is already available.

The rise of eSports betting does not discourage bettors on other sports. This will just widen the clientele of betting sites. The rise of eSports will certainly increase the patrons of betting sites.

Online base games are gaining more attention and so gambling just because we are now in the internet era and most people and even young minds.
E sports seems to be addicted and even kids have already played. With this development, it really affects young minds and could influence them. But I'm afraid if this is a reason why they couldn't focus on studies and started to become addicted to online gambling.
