Those prices are only possible if the rest of the market is in an altcoin season, and 2020 does not seem like it is going to be as good of a year as everyone is expecting it to be, when I think of the market in this way the best price for ethereum at the end of 2020 seems to be in the range of 400 and 600 dollars which is not bad, that signifies a profit of 100% to 200% in a single year which is not something you can get in any market except this one.

Nice speculation, 500$ to 1k$ by end of 2020 is ideal, looking forward to the ETH 2.0 launch and also Bitcoin halving. Here is my prediction basis, since the news around ETH is cool, (many will want to enjoy the staking benefits since ETH will switch to POS algorithm), if BTC pump due to halving doesn't affect the satoshi value of ETH much ( forgive me if I didn't use GWEI, it's for clarity), then we expect a good rise for ETH, hence 3x to 5x is feasible. I really hope that in the near future Ethereum will stop responding to Bitcoin pricing. It has been repeatedly reported in the media that Ethereum has dropped altcoin status and is almost equal to Bitcoin, because today Ethereum is a full-fledged coin with its own blockchain. I dont relly belive in ETH and i think that it will by replaced by another technology in the next 2 years.

1000-1500$ even without event in 2018 January Ethereum reached almost $1,500 so what more this 2020 when theres a big event that was expected to give a great growth for this number 2 ranked currency?for me its either 2000-2500$ depending on what Bitcoin price is because if Bitcoin bullrun goes togheter with that eth2.0 event?im sure the blast will happen to push not only ethereum but all of alts as well

its been a long time that i never see eth rising so my prediction for eth is still going to be the same .
i mean if what is the eth value right now , i think it will end that way but if ever got lucky , it can increase a little bit more ( only small percentage ) other than this , i have a high expectation on other coins especially the volatile ones such as btc

The price $1000 is very possible to happen at the end of 2020, even I personally believe will be able to exceed the price of $1000. After they released Ethereum 2.0 then I feel optimistic that ETH prices will go to the moon. So it's not wrong if you buy ETH now, then hold it for a long term investment.between 500 to 1000 maybe

As long as the update is released as they planned, in 2020 ETH price will definitely go up because of the demand caused by transitioning to PoS creating a chance for the holders to generate a new coin and the scalability issue that will be fixed by an update from the team. Based on their update, the token holders will get a benefit too in this update because of the scaling issue that will be addressed by this update making the token transaction near-instant and allows code to execute faster than others.

I don't think ETH's price will always follow Bitcoin's price. As you can see, 1-2 months ago, we only saw the price of Bitcoin go up and the alts seem to be going down or stable.
