I thank you for the advices
You are welcome!
Nevertheless, I think that it's right time for you to lock the topic because it seems that you got enough recommendations.
For now, you should start improving yourself.

I will do. Again, thanks.

1. Join Signature Campaign

If this tops the list of what your hero member "friend" thought you, that means the friend don't want you to grow. You are quick to start looking for signature campaign, you need to study the forum and know how to make reasonably, good post.

Bounties are just a reward you get for working for certain advertisers but not the focus of the forum.
It makes me think twice. Thank you

Good to see your started (almost started) your life in BTT forum with such interesting question.
However, it seems that you have several misunderstandings about what you should do in the forum, mate.

Never should do like this.
The main reasons are:
- Joining signature campaigns almost immediately after joining the forum might lead you to totally wrong directions.
There are hundreds or thousands of bounty campaigns in the forum (some of them available for newbies or Junior members), but the bounty space are abundant with shit posts, with totally shitshows from farming accounts, and you might never learn any valuable stuffs in those topics.
- One of side effects is you might fall into wrong approach, become familiar with shitshows, and changed gradually to be one of shitposters.
1. Join Signature Campaign

This point is right! I also strongly recommend you to spend your time to read those very helpful, informative topics:
1) [Tips] Guide for forum search
2) Newbies – Read before posting (Lauda)
3) TMAN's guide to getting merits
4) Full Member thanks to merit system (iasenko)
5) tbct_mt2's Guideline on some forum functions, English texbooks
(in which I give links to my other three helpful topics)

Read them, learn from them, improve yourself and rank up. After having more knowledge, skills, ranked up to higher level. It is right time for you to join campaigns in the forum. Please remember don't forget to keep your contributions in the forum through your high-qualitied threads/ topics.
Quote
2. Keep reading and posting good threads

Of course, it is really good if you find them (abusers)  by chance and report them to admin or moderators of the forum.
Nevertheless, I don't recommend you to spend all or most of your time in the forum to find them. It doesn't make sense.
Instead, you should spend all or most of your time to do the first step I mentioned above.
Quote
3. Investigate spammers and  merit farming then report them

Important recommendations for all forum newcomers:
Never beg for merits, beg for campaigns/ bounties!

I thank you for the advices

I met my friend (a Hero member in this forum)
Seriously?  I'd probably have to put an ad in the newspaper looking for a local bitcointalk friend with a Hero member account, and there would probably be a lot of driving involved if we decided to meet up for coffee.  How do all of you people have these friends who are members here?  I just don't get it.
I’m living in their circle. My neighboors are bitcointalk users and traders.

A few days ago I posted, half-jokingly, about trolling annoying ICOs with tons of shit-posting spammers. Ditto for stupid sig-campaigns. I wonder if there's a rule forbidding troll sigs: let's say some shitty sig campaign enroles an army of petty forum members. Would it be OK to wear a sig letting people know how much I think their project sucks? At least I could vouch for my sig, unlike those wearing it just to make money

Participating in signature campaigns is a good idea. You will earn post count and activity.
You can also "earn" (sic) post count and activity if you post in any section of the forum without a signature as well.

Quote
Participating in bounty campaign was not so good idea. If you want to earn btc in jr member, you must join first sig camp.

Do you come to this forum for this sole purpose of earning for signature posting? If you do then you need to leave the forum and get a new job or some new hobby to kill time. Because the massive amount of spam that you people create is dragging this forum down the abyss.

Earning merit was not a easy thing.
Merit was created to make it difficult for shitposters to rank up. Roll Eyes

Of course, there are campaigns which accepted Junior Member rank to join, so you can definitely.
A junior member can join signature campaigns and participate in some specific bounties. You can also look for other people on the platform for people who are scam and report them.

Users will get postcounts and acitivities simultaneously with their threads, despite of they join campaigns or not.
You will earn post count and activity.
Why not?
Also, good campaign managers check the past posting history before accepting members.

I want to add to point number 1, before you follow the signature campaign you should really pay attention to the quality of your post. because spam is strictly prohibited in signature campaigns.

Also, good campaign managers check the past posting history before accepting members. Since there is competition between so many members, one has to focus on the quality aspect while making posts. This will increase your chances of getting accepted in a good campaign.

Firstly, I'm happy becoming Jr. Member. But I have no idea what to do and I have a question in mind "what does a Jr. Member do?".

I met my friend (a Hero member in this forum) and asked him "what should I do?". He gave me some advices and I would like to share with you:
1. Join Signature Campaign
2. Keep reading and posting good threads
3. Investigate spammers and  merit farming then report them

Hopefully this thread will help you too and I would be greatly appreciated for the advices from you all.

Best,

Exploring in this forum gives me a clear idea on what should I do as I go and promoted to a higher rank. You got it by posting right? Then that is the only thing you need to do, just post as always, reply or any you want just make it something beneficial and related to crypto, and if you are after for a money go and join some signature campaigns out there they give payments for a certain task.

Great topic for newbie like me. i hope this will help more newbies like me.

The discussion is about jr members so it will not help you. Smiley

Most of the suggestions that OP got from his friend actually applies to all members. Like reporting merit abuse in forum is something that all members should do here based on their knowledge and experience. It is true that some experience is required to spot these accurately but you can try this. This forum does not have any special section for higher rank members (as per my knowledge) and thus you can get all information as newbie or jr member also.

Being a jr member is a good privilege for those who wants to start joining in some bounty campaign.
That is the sole reason why people like you are going to be added to Ignore lists. Soon enough this forum should change its name to "bountytalk" for the safe of recognition for the shitposters.

Actually I am a Jr Member too , I spend my time mostly reading different contents and trying to expand my knowledge instead of hunting for mertis, because to get the merits you need to give an amazing content really

LOL that typo caught my eye. Shitposters are so engaged in posting spam that they forget about spelling and punctuation.

Again, we are avoiding our objectives of joining this forum.
We are doing signature campaign for money and investigation for merit. C'mon, we are here for learning more about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
This, obviously but regrettably, is what this learning forum is now turned into. I guess it's because of the so called price money attached to campaigns. Investigate and report, investigate and report while teaching and learning are sadly jettisoned. But OP, there's little you can actually do to earn in signature campaigns because Jnr Members aren't allowed participation in most of them. Except you are talking about altcoins or social media campaigns.

Consider rank and signature campaign as a bonus.
Do not seek the merits but let's the merit comes to you.
How to do it?

Best,

There is no fixed criteria for things that  junior member should do and it should be decided based on your own interests. Just because your friend is suggesting you to join a signature campaign does not mean you should go for it. Note that these bounties also require you to perform certain tasks and your current time schedule might not allow you for this. So decide accordingly after reading all the requirements.

And for the rest two suggestions, you should do this irrespective of your current rank.
