Bitcoin is waiting for a very active future, as it has excellent prospects to be realized exactly as a currency. I am confident that this will happen in the next decade.

For my own understanding, it think, is going to be a function of cashless movement, where money will be on digital form and more save than paper money, in other words, bitcoin is a Crypto currency that is form of digital money.

Bitcoin is not a perfect currency now, but it is constantly developing, and I think that very soon it will reach such a level of development that it will be able to completely replace our usual money. It will be a new era for humanity.

So Bitcoin's market dominance in the cryptocurrency world is currently at the lowest level ever with 36.1% of the total value.

In my opinion, it's because the interest in alternative coins is rising rapidly for one, but you also have to consider how much of the bitcoin world is criminal. Seriously, for the first 5-8 years, the digital currency was mainly used as a means for criminals to launder money and sell illegal goods on the dark market. Think of all the massive hacks in the early days also, and all those darknet markets that disappeared with huge amounts of bitcoin.

Literally millions and millions of the 16 million coins out there would be owned by criminals. And now with bitcoin becoming more centralized and less anonymous, they are swiftly exiting the market and looking for alternative dark coins.

I also personally avoid using bitcoin all-together because of the extremely slow transaction speeds and high cost's associated with it.

The bitcoin mining business is dust, so that interest will die quickly.

I just don't see a very bright future for the god of cryptocurrency and it will surely be surpassed by one of its rivals soon enough.

I'm torn between predicting it to be Dash, or Ethereum, and I recon it could be about 2 years before that happens.

Would love to know peoples thoughts on the future of bitcoin.

Where will bitcoin be in

2 weeks?
2 months?
2 years?

Will it be surpassed by another coin? If so, which one and when?
I foresee the future of bitcoin as a hard one to look at or maybe a non existent one as well. As we know now bitcoin is being banned one by one by country and it is being called as a bad investment because of the danger it may give. I think if it falls other cryptocurrencies will fall together with it because it is the standard of all cryptos and it will set the standard for all. Well let's just use bitcoin as we can because it is a great source of profit if you ask me.

I don't think it can be surpassed by any other coins at the moment because it has this drastic leap among the other coins because the fact that it is the first ever created crypto it is also the popular. I think bitcoin in the future will be a success more than we can see it now. Well maybe as you can see now bitcoin is banned through countries but further tweaking into these bitcoin issues will make bitcoin a legal currency in the future.

It is very difficult to predict bitcoin, bitcoin can increase high with the presence of investors who adopt bitcoin, but bitcoin may decline as many sell their bitcoin due to negative news circulating. And if faced with such a situation then self-confidence is needed to make choices.

I think in 2 weeks bitcoin will cost 11,500 dollars.
After 2 months, the cost of bitcoin will be 18,800 dollars.
And in 2 years the price of bitcoin will exceed 60,000 dollars.

Bitcoin future is hard to explain. There are still some homework to be done ny bitcoin developer if they want bitcoin become better in future.
Regarding surpass by other altcoin, i think the possibility is very small since no others can reach the marketcap as high as bitcoin.
It's true what you say, that no coin ever outperformed both bitcoin in the market and when investing even though the bitcoin front is unpredictable but I'm sure bitcoin can provide a comfortable space and simplicity for those who follow it.

I disagree with you. For me the future of bitcoin is still bright and sparkling. It experienced a decrease in price and yet you do not already believe? Bitcoin price will still recover and its competitor like Etherium and Dash price will be nothing compared to bitcoin. Maybe some criminals use bitcoin but nit the majority of it. Also, bitcoin transactions require cheap or no transaction fee so I do not understamd where you are coming from. To those who still believe, let us continue to support in bitcoin and let’s have a brightef future together.

Gonna go to the moon. People keep freaking out like this hasn't happened before. Miners are moving to Bcash instead of BTC. Guess what? They did that before too, shortly after Bcash launched more than 50% of miners moved to it and pumped it up while BTC crashed.

And then BTC skyrocketed while Bcash crashed.

We've done this dance with Bcash before and came out on top. We will again. And besides, after a massive ATH, a $3000 jump in less than 30 days, people are freaking out over this drop? It's peanuts.

It is very difficult to predict the existence of Bitcoin digital currency in the future, but if you look at the graph from which it is currently increasing, I am sure if the future of Bitcoin will be brighter.

I see that the future of Bitcoin is very good. Bitcoin is now an excellent financial system and is being used by many people. According to the data also that there is always a significant increase in the number of users each year. This means it has proven that Bitcoin has gained a very high trust. We are currently starting a cryptocurrency era and in the future we will be very familiar with the place that receives payments with cryptocurrencies.

All of these questions will be answered by us-time. We can only guess or guess the price of bitcoin and other crypto currency, but no one knows for sure.

1. The mainstream bank will accept bitcoin, and start offering bitcoin storage facilities. They will also create digital currency derivatives.

2. More and more companies will pay their freelancers using digital currency, which will trigger tax reforms.

3. The digital currency will change the monopoly of a currency by the government of a country, just as the Internet is changing the monopoly practice in the telephone industry.
