There are many factors encouraging me to invest in altcoins, the popularity of the project. Being on many exchanges, including assian exchanges. Having a real team and real platform with reasonable roadmap. Updating the community always. These all make me invest in there.

There are so many factors to consider. But the best factor to take into account is the fundamentals of the project. You can actually put aside everything else and focus on whether an altcoin is backed by a sincere and good project and a working team. That is the beginning of success and growth in their coin's value. However, since we are investors and traders, we will also consider the partnerships, the community behind the coin, the supply, the market cap, etc.

It's the same reason why so many people also invest in altcoins which is none other than profits. I really believe that those who buy those altcoins did not really exactly know what their coins do and they only know that it is hot on the market and it has potential to surge and that also encourages them to invest in a specific altcoin.
There are many people that are like that and invest in that way but the truth is that there is a small sector of investors that make a very deep research and invest in coins only after they are throughly convinced about the coin and as you may guess they are the ones that make the most money out of alts. what makes me interested in investing is because altcoin's price is not that huge yet. So it is still a gamble play because we would not know what will be the trend of a certain altcoin. A good dev team and a good idea behind the coin. If a coin has something unique and usable that's already big in my book these days.

Actually I buy and sell my alt coins in a short time. I try not to hold them for long time. If I make profit more than %10 then I sell and I am looking for a new coin.
Actually its all about the level of risk individual wants to take. So basically on my view, people now are looking at an more timing saving way to earn $$. No risk no gain bruh. Cheers!
I don't really invest because I still have insufficient money but logically people will invest to an altcoin that has great potentials. That is for buying coins at cheaper price directly without joining ICO campaigns. As per ICO campaigns, ofcourse investors are encouraged to invest if project seems successful. Investing is risky so aside from inspection, you realky need instincts.
The most encouraging thing in altcoins are the rate of coins and the pump which make your profit more then double in may be one week and may be in very short period but it is not compulsory it may be make half your investment so there are chances to earn more profit from it so i think that is why altcoin encourages more.
For me, the reasons that makes me decides to invest in any altcoin is the price value, the roadmap and the supply. It encourages me to invest and even decided for a long term if I see their project is good. Yeah and for me having a high market cap is a must check in every coins that we're investing and also if its have a maximum supply than just an infinite supply. And analyzing the graphs how a coin behave in the market is a must see so we cam determine which gonna be hold for long-term and short term.
If to answer to your topic name, then, I guess, it's the urge to support a cool idea and the belief that it'll work out and you'll earn some money from the funds you already said goodbye to.

Mostly the concept and the team encourage me. Additionally, I have been always doing the investigation of the altcoin dynamics. If I understand it will cost much more in future, I invest into it.
