I find it interesting that almost all claims of scam against cloudbet come from newbies.  Very few from established bitcointalk accounts.  Sure I think it's possible all of these accounts are actually new members, but the majority of them?  It makes me suspicious that most of these claims are frivolous.

Also it's worth noting that several of these "withdraw scam" claims are commonly addressed when the customer submits KYC.  I don't blame folks for not wanting to comply with KYC requirements, but then don't use the service.

Cludbet is one of the biggest online crypto casinos.  It's bound to have a few detractors, or those who are unhappy with the service they receive, considering how many customers they have.
Obviously no one give a fuck about this forum but only the scammed people.
Obviously no one give a fuck to use bitcointalk but using gambling sites.
Obviously they will never use bitcointalk again and would never use it if there wasn't problems with cloudbet.
The "Newbies" are here just and only because the scamming casino is starting from this forum.
No one than you give a fuck are they newbies or "oldbies".
They just registered to that forum to share that they were scammed and search for help.
Why everyone here still talking about ranks, consider no one give a fuck about ranks.
Every single honest person in this forum coming to do business with escrow.
No one give a fuck what your profile or rank is when you using escrow for each of your trades.
Fuck your "oldbie" account and fuck your "rank".
Have a nice day Smiley

I expressed my opinion and I'm entitled to it.  And as I've said if I see irrefutable evidence of a scam, I won't hesitate to change my mind.  I'll be the first to recant my defense of Cloudbet.

And, I would hardly call my account an "Oldbie,"  I haven't even been a member for a year yet.

Isn't it time for us to inform everyone (if needed then PM) and ask them to stop promoting/endorsing cloudbet? I have seen in the past when we smell anything wrong then DTs stepped forward and warned the users. If they denied then they tagged them.
Who is left?
Left to PM?
Yes, who is still promoting it?
Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread active and endorsed by hilariousandco. I even PMed him other day.
I will contact him too.

The Australian Open is here & you'll find unrivalled betting limits at Cloudbet! user chokri29, a newbie so did not bother to spend time on him.
Since it is a dead thread it can be ignored for the time being.

It could be a coincidence but I'll leave that up to Ronnie to decide.
I am not sure if Hhampuz actively working for them or not.
He is not at the moment and definitely while this remains unresolved.
Well done and thank you.

Giving them a warning would do, campaign participants are not even part of the main operation of the gambling site they are promoting. Their only job here is to promote the gambling site and they are not the ones who are handling the payments of the gamblers, so tagging them right away because they are just wearing their signature would only ruin their personal reputation here in the forum. If you would really like to be notice I think tagging them first is ideal to get their attention on removing their signature, if they proceed on removing their sig code without any complaints then you can remove your tag when things clear out.

but my question is...how much proof is enough?

IRL " innocent until proven guilty", but since there is no law enforcement here, and due to the massive amount of scammers, the safest approach is the exact opposite- cloudbut are guilty until proven innocent.

they have not denied the accusation, and they are not providing any answers , therefore, IMO not only people should stop endorsing them , yet they should tag them until and if this issue is resolved.
The opposite approach is safer indeed (e.g. it's much safer to tag an account that may be compromised especially if it is a high ranking account as proving the opposite should be trivial). Cloudbet had quite the time to respond to the accusation which they have ultimately failed to do for whatever reason.

I ALWAYS get invited to poker night.
Those people inviting you might see you as their personal ATM machine--watch out for that.

The fact that newbies are the ones making the scam accusations doesn't surprise me.  Even if you were a senior member and got scammed, you might have a very good reason not to broadcast your gambling habits to everyone here, so creating a new account for the accusation might be appropriate.  In any case, that's not something I see as sinister.

To answer OP's question, I'd say that if cloudbet was proven to be a scam it'd be ill-advised for members to continue to advertise for them.  We've had this situation before with ICOs and other casinos, if I'm not mistaken.  I ditched a sig campaign in the middle of it a couple of years ago after cryptodevil made a scam accusation against them (I can't recall the name of it).  It just so happened that the proof cryptodevil presented at the time of my exit turned out to be insufficient, but I definitely did not want my reputation linked to anything fishy being advertised in my signature space.

That said, I don't know if cloudbet has unequivocally been shown to be a scam.  Yes, they have accusations against them, but a lot of these businesses do.  Is the community ready to tag anyone promoting Yobit?  I know their campaign isn't active, but my question is...how much proof is enough?

As far as I know Cloudbet are no longer sponsors of krogothmanhattan raffles. Cloudbet stopped to support it some time ago before these accusations were made. Most of these promotions that you posted away is over and it would be unfair to red tag people who participated in it, because it was long before these scam accusations were made. There are only one active promtion on Bitcointalk -🏆Cloudbet's Cloud 9 Predictor Competition! Free Entry + 0.47 BTC Prize pool! 🏆 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cloudbets-cloud-9-predictor-competition-free-entry-047-btc-prize-pool-5098762
While Premier League prediction pool isn't organized by Cloudbet, they are just sponsors. Maybe it would be best to remove their name from title.
That was originally "Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool" which was renamed to "Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool" later. I don't remember any more how much funds Cloudbet added because I left it long time ago.
I remember correctly they added $500 or £500 to the prize pool.

Cludbet is one of the biggest online crypto casinos.

Hi Swofty,
Apologies for getting to the thread late, I've been at a conference this week.

one of the biggest online crypto casinos have only 1 person who deals with clients requests and complaints? i wonder how do the smallest casinos look like.

my answer to your question is this

3. even without looking into the allegations any deeper, given the sheer number, I believe it may be wise for individuals to no longer endorse

I always thought gambling was a tax on people who are bad at math. Maybe arithmetic is lost on the younger members?

LOL!  Can't disagree with your assessment.  What is it that makes people think casino owners must be in the business of giving money away?

Maybe it helps in my case because I know I suck at gambling.  How can I be so sure?  I ALWAYS get invited to poker night.

@DireWolfM14 not all threads are real scam accusations. Some threads are questions like "is Cloudbet scam?", I noticed one scam accusation where player didn't want to share their account name even asked several times by Cloudbet, most scam accusations are resolved and in some cases player cheated site (created account and then created another account using referral link of their first account).

That's what I've been seeing as well.  I'm still waiting for valid and irrefutable evidence of a scam.  The number of threads about cloudbet being a scam is really only evidence how many users the platform has.

Thrill, excitement, chance to win... Players who beat house and have won life changing amounts exist but they are extremely rare. But yeah, mostly tax on... Smiley

That's really what it is.  Unfortunate for those who participate; the majority tend to be those who can least afford it.  It's buying "the dream."

Most established accounts here aren't betting, and if they are, they aren't playing very high stakes.
