It is because of the month already that the bitcoin price is not stable and is going down, causing all the other coins especially ethereum and the other tokens to go crash its price. Some of the people are doing panic sell causes more tremor to its price.

Manipulators sell off tons of stock which causes a sell off.  This in turn scares off retail investors.  It creates a self fulfilling prophecy.  Then they churn the market at lows to fatigue weak hodlers.  Once they stock up and they are collecting less that what bottom buyers are buying then the rally begins.  Complete and utter manipulation.

With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. With the huge sudden rise, there comes a huge sudden fall. Some know this as a correction. It happens with any kind of physical and technological assets, or the stock Market!

I think this dipping value of cryptocurrency is due to the panic selling of the holders. It seems that they loose hope, and think that this market will not recover for the next 1yr. They don't really understand what's or how this cryptoworld works. And yet they keep on dreaming to be wealthy by joining in cryptoworld.

For the current day, the prices of the main crypto-currencies show a steady decline, what could this be related to? Is it because of some rumors? And as a result - a panic sale?
The current decline is still in the manipulation of big whales in my opinion, so don't worry about this kind of situation, and surely a few days later the increase will occur again, because this year the market is still in an unstable state. So my advice remains patient, don't panic and wait until a strong recovery occurs

Rumors that resulted people to panic.

When there are bad news that usually give the people a reason to panic sell like the statement of Vitalik which is the well known co-owner and developer of ETH. How can someone that's very well optimistic before say that? its likely to be a FUD and FUDs will never be gone if there's an agenda to the market.
But it looks like even the strong holders are being weaken right now and i could say this will become another interesting thing for those have been selling their altcoins before the price was flying down.
Vitalik has created an FUD statement that was affecting the sentiment of the market.

During this time, the BTC rate remained stable at more than $ 6,000, but the ETH rate fell rapidly, to just under $ 190. There are some reasons for ETH's declining exchange rates, but one recent cause is that ETH's transaction fees have soared, causing the ETH to fall sharply. Without any improvement or updating, we fear that the ETH will continue to decline.

It seems to me that crypto assets were overvalued and now market is trying to find the true value for crypto assets. As we can see, institutional traders are selling crypto assets  and there is no flow of retail investors who want to buy that is why prices are slashing lower an lower. I am sure that the downtrend will be continue in next several months because so strong downtrend cannot be changed instantly. Moreover I do not see any positive factors in the near future which could effect positively on the crypto market. It is possible that there will be any weak uptrend in 2019 but the current year will be obviously strong bearish will the end.

I think prices goes down because of the panic sellers, they were afraid that the market will be gone. Whales were also one of those, they just invest a huge amount and when they see that it increases they will just sell it directly and would result to a low demand. Thus, small holders will be affected to these crisis.

I do think that the last price drop was caused by the fact that goldman did not create an bitcoin etf. This caused the market to fall down. But in the end it really does not matter in my opinion that there is no etf. You have to look at the fundamental improvements of bitcoin. The etf listing is just for the gamblers

I don't see any rumors that crypto prices have fallen for now. the possibility of this is manipulation. Yes, the market pattern is almost the same every month, but this month it has dropped further for all altcoins. and the worst possibility will occur in the coming months

No one knows what really happened or what is happening for sure, and this is sad. Everyone is just making assumptions, or coming up with theories that they deem fit. it is sad to see that no one can exactly state what is going on, and when exactly it would be over. I hope that this bloodbath we have been experiencing for months now comes to an end soon, and there is revival in the market again.

The reasons that the prices of the coins are down so much is because way too much money is leaving the market on a daily basis, the fact is people are dumping too many coins on the market and there is not enough demand of coins in the market to make sure that it is balanced. So where there is more supply than demand, the price of the commodity tends to go down.

Search for the word "fluctuation" and "volatility" and somehow you will understand what the heck is going on. How come rumors can dictate what will be the price movement in the future. Cryptos are composed of big and large hoarder and average crypto holder. If those large hoarder did some dump, they can shake the market. And that market shake will result for those average crypto holders to do the same and that's how the dump will begin = panic.

Now for what is the specific reason, we all don't know since generally, there are lots of events we can point here that can be associated why the price decline recently.

Get used to it since this is how Cryptocurrency prices do moves. It can moon anytime and it can dump or wreck anytime.Basing on either technical or fundamentals which fuds and shills are inclusive.
We have seen price had slowly rises on past few weeks and when that ETF rejection do happen the price had dumped down.We don't know if that's the actually reason but these kind of negative news can really
make such impact.

Many people have lost faith and patience in cryptocurrency and they don't believe in it. Crypto needs strong people to be involved in it

I think regarding the lower prices
It is a game? A game played by great manipulators ( a large pool of individuals bringing down the prices of tokens so that they can buy severally more cheaper)

Which is why Hodler have to avoid fud and also avoid panic sale
The crypto currency market is for the fittest and the strongest

I'm sure that whales are dumping crypto during 2018 and we need another big whales that will beleive in blockchain and crypto technologies and want to invest billions of fiat in BTC, ETH and other promising projects. It is necessary to expel speculators from crypto!
