I already saw this thing happened last 2018 when the BTC price goes down, some Altcoins faced their doomed. What I mean here is, some of them didn't recover till now. the worst-case scenario you can witness for an Altcoin. If that ever happened again, there is a tendency of history will repeat again. especially to those altcoins that have never have a new development in the past months. It will triggered them serious damage if the BTC price will dive deep again this year. Thankfully we are not yet far from the halving event which had occurred few months ago. which will give us a higher chance for the price not to over fall this year.

Actually every day we can know through trading. When the Bitcoin price rises and falls, many altcoins also follow the Bitcoin price. But if the price of Bitcoin dropped strongly, its impact on alternative coin prices also suffered a heavy decline. Coins like Ethereum are also down, while the largest XRP coin number four, which is used in the Ripple US payment system, is also down. And of course, if Bitcoin correction will have an impact on all altcoins.

unfortunately at this time bitcoin is no longer able to recover its price to high prices anymore because there is no one who supports bitcoin by showing no more bitcoin buyers which ultimately makes altcoin prices difficult to make price increases.
Altcoin prices are now dependent on the movement of bitcoin if a large pump occurs then altcoin will follow if on the contrary altcoin is difficult to grow again and indeed many investors already do not believe in lagging against altcoin because it always becomes trash if held longer.

in general, the price of altcoin will also go down if bitcoin prices go down quickly. this often happens, even we often see when the price of bitcoin falls. Most current altcoin prices are greatly affected by bitcoin price movements, which is why panic sell usually occurs for all cryptos.
Yes. Altcoins are very affected once bitcoin goes into dip because their prices fall even more. But if bitcoin make a good pump, there's no guarantee that altcoins will also do the same because most of them usually stay in place, no increase or decrease in price. Even how hard altcoins try to get away from the shadow of bitcoin, but until now they can't still move separately from bitcoin.

Usually, when BTC price starts to pump, altcoin price get increased too and when BTC price starts to dump, altcoin price decreased too. This is a very basic of crypto price due to all crypto being measured against BTC. On the other hand, there are some negatively corelated cryptos. These follow the inverse relation. When BTC goes up, they go down and vice versa.
Yeah because any alt is measured by the value in bitcoins and if the bitcoin itself drops then all of them drops automatically in USD value and not actually in BTC value. Suppose a coin is 10k satoshi and BTC drops by 10% then the coin looses it's value by 10% in USD but in BTC it should still remain the same and hold 10k satoshi.

So, as long as ypou value your alt coins in BTC you are absolutely fine with the drops and rise in bitcoins price but once you take trading into USD and fiat currencies, you will be greatly influenced with each and ever dip that bitcoin takes.

The best way is to actually hold alt coins that have a solid future for example, I see tron as the next market giant and soon hitting big values and even if BTC drops by some value you would still be okay in the long term, that's just my observation though.

Because many people lack information about what will happen to bitcoin, and many of them can not analyze better than the other. So they panic to see the price is down deeper, and they can not wait longer. Maybe they choose to sell their bitcoin as soon as the price is down because they don't know what they need to do if they see that is happening. If they can learn more about bitcoin price movements, they can have more patient.

The majority of the altcoin will follow Bitcoin when it drops, just look at the market trends for the past few months when bitcoin crashed and the majority of altcoins follow the suit. However, there are some altcoins that are independent of the market and they are backed up by USD.
Agree! Almost all altcoins will be affected by the movements of BTC. The reason is that BTC is the biggest coin in this cryptocurrency world. If BTC crashes, altcoins are likely to be crashed as well. There are some exceptions when some altcoins don't follow the trend, which may be a stable coin or a coin that has incredible increases.

If the price of Bitcoin drops, the whole market will collapse and it will certainly be the time to purge the entire altcoin. This has happened in 2018 and 2019 and it is a very bad time for all investors to join this market. Of course, I don't want that to happen, but we are not the ones who decide on the future of this market.
no one want this accident happen again to cryptocurrency market, we will get lot of loss if price crashing again and ofcourse i am worry investors will leave this market. but today investors look confidence after several big investors coming to market, and also some finance instiution already mentioned they were interested with blockchain technology. we must keep spread positive news about crypto market so price stability will happen.

There are times that some altcoins move in different directions even if the bitcoin is going down but that does not happen usually. Most of the time altcoins are dependent on bitcoin moves. Bitcoin as of now has a 64% percent dominance from other cryptocurrencies there is no question why most of the altcoins are always affected. So the answer to your question is obvious it will surely go down too excluding stablecoin of course.

An altcoin will move in a different direction only when the certain project announced a latest improvement on their network or the whales are pumping it. Thus, people would always love to follow suit.
Though this stuff is unusual, but we have seen it several times with several alts.
Majority of the alts in the market will follow Bitcoin just like what you have mentioned.

the price of bitcoin will highly affect alts movement caused by project announcement or such as a result if there should actually be a huge pump when a certain coin releases an update then the pump will not be as huge as it's supposed to be. But, many developers usually delay the release of their project when the market is shaken.

Bitcoin has a huge role to play in the coin market. The value of altcoin is determined by the value of Bitcoin, all things being equal. I've noticed that bitcoin gives a voice to altcoin, especially the value of altcoin in relation to her dollar equivalent. I don't wish to see the value of Bitcoin drop significantly, because its going to be a huge disaster for the coin market, generally.

No more Rekt and Bust
If Bitcoin loses value 90% or more altcoins will have no choice but to dump in price and if Bitcoin regain value almost all altcoins will recover but not all altcoins, some projects are built to withstand deep revaluation because of their use cases
That is right what you above said, if BTC drops strong, no doubt altcoins will start also decreasing. But on the contrary, if BTC starts rising ug, altcoins will follow this movement. l would say not all of the altcoins will recover, but most of them absolutely top altcoins will recover in my mind. But it doesn't happen nowadays, we should wait for this time. Maybe we can earn money in the future.

if you still hold altcoin you should use stop lose
There is no reason to stop lose if you are really sure about the coins you are holding right now. Especially if the desired coins have a chance to actually recovering and back at the track after the bad dump then most likely it will rise again, look up at Monero.
It's also happening with bitcoin and some altcoins too when the coin can be fully recovered from the bottom. As far as i know if this is happening so many times. I quite agree if some people should decrease their chance to get a loss caused by the dump by putting more stop loses

Well referring on the topic on "what happens to the altcoins if bitcoin drops strong" some alts are not following the trend of the bitcoin they are remain on the price or the price of it is pumping but some altcoin that is relaying on bitcoin are dropping so hard too but don't worry we are all know that for every drop of the coin it can pump again just have a little patience on it.

As expected to happen.
Altcoins will remain dependable to Bitcoin price, once BTC price drops Altcoins will follow. These things that had never change since from the very beginning (unless there are hypes and market manipulation), in fact, it happens several times and that is also been proven. That is why most traders and investors are just looking into the Bitcoin price chart and its trend for this is the hint for them when to buy and sell altcoins.
This scheme never has to chance and pretty obvious this scenario will also be seen (or most likely the same) in the next decade/s.
