This is very true.
Not enough sellers in any market, not just bitcoin and crypto, is ultimately very dangerous. It is increasingly dangerous in a market without a true intrinsic value. This gives way to a bubble, and as we know, this can be the beginning of the end.
The balance of buying and selling is what keeps the market alive, and when that balance is swayed to one side, in this case the "buy and hold" side, it is only a matter of time until the market crashes.

If people said hold is not that you should not sell at all. It simply means you should not sell all your coins, you keep larger part of your coins.

That is right, we need movement from bitcoin, it should be balance since when the price is high no one will buy for it, so we should at least balance all the things that we need in order for us to have a stable and great value.

The market won't be adjusted if there is no sell order. The market need low and high each day for traders to buy and sell. By holding without sell, means it won't have open and close price .

OP as you see everyone suggest to hold or hodl as you say but why? It's like be a billionare and don't even spend one cent and live like a very poor. Economic needs money to be used widely, invested, spent, sometimes holded, combination of all them. It seems people don't hodl and bitcoin is widely used, just see statistics of bitcoin mixers, for example on bitmixer.io as owner claimed, 1 million bitcoin was mixed yearly. There are 10x more people who don't mix bitcoins. But despite that fact, just save some of them, who knows what will happen in future, just save small amount like you save money for bad days.

When we all try to only HODL I think btc will fall to the pit but when we try buying and selling it wi keep it circulating.

I think the balance will be ok. We sell and at the same time buy and it will keep btc alive.

One merit for your working mind. Actually, the HODL that we are always proclaiming does not mean that we will stop using our Bitcoin or we will just HODL it no matter what. If the market is suffering, then HODL will really be the best thing to do. But if the people will just decide to HODL, before the market will go in straight line sideways, there will definitely be a strong pump that will create the price to just shoot to the moon.

Of course. If bitcoin will predominantly buy and hold, it will cease to be money and will be forgotten. People will simply switch to using what they have access to, including other types of crypto-currencies . If bitcoin is simply held, it will turn again  just into numbers and letters. The whole strength of bitcoin is in the support of the masses.

If no one sell the we will gonna have a very expensive bitcoin.

When no one will sell then that means that there will be always buying in the market and after they buy then they will just hold for long term and that will make the price higher and higher and at the end, it will just make bitcoin one of the most expensive thing in the world which is not a good thing because it will not balance the market and it will not have a natural growth which is needed for a strong market.

Approximately how long people will hold their coins. If no one sells their coins in the long run, many people may lose confidence in cryptocurrency considering that they can not invest in cryptocurrency. It's unstable market situation, because coin can not be spread evenly. Few people invest in cryptocurrency, so crytocurrency rates fall at the lowest point. I think it's better balancing demand and supply, so that the price's growth of crytocurrency can continue to be green.

The above is not true.. If x amount of people are invested in bitcoin, and they all decide to HODL, the price will remain stable until more supply is created.. Till the time supply is fixed, and everyone is HODLING, the demand is neither increasing nor decreasing against a fixed supply... Now, you might argue that bitcoin supply will increase with time.. To counter that supply you will also have to take into consideration that there will always be some newbee somewhere in the world who would want to buy into bitcoin , thereby increasing the demand...




You can buy and sell to gain profit for yourself, but lets understand that bitcoin will not rise in value because of your buying or selling.. Bitcoin is a network ! And when do networks become more valuable? When more and more people join the network.. Think for example about a mobile phone. If only one person has a mobile phone in this world, will that phone be valuable ? No... Why? because he cannot call anyone from his phone ! Suddenly if one more person buys phone, now that the value of your phone suddenly increases because now you can make a call to the person who just bought a mobile phone... Increase this number to the number of people on the network (having mobile phone), and you realize that value of the network lies in the number of using deciding to stay on the network (HODLING) !

This is impossibe, just like it's impossibe that everyone is.only selling. You can't control people like that and it's not worth discussing something that it's not possible even in theory.
Besides, Bitcoin is not ment just to hold without real life usage which considers to selling too.
Get real use Bitcoin questions, don't bother with theory.

although that is not possible. but if it could happen. surely the price of crypto becomes up into the air gan. but investing without a sell will certainly never fav. if AP means to invest if we already see the profits then we do not sell .

Yes I agree with you, now almost everyone in this porum do a similar strategy that is HOLD. I also imagine if everyone HOLD, who will buy Bitcoin, while bitcoin depends on the concept of demand / offer so we can say that it will increase its value.
I think there should be a solution to all this, there should be a solution to bitcoin attracted more investors.
