Some people just love to hate what they don't understand. Some have grudges on new and current tech because it contradicts what they previously believed on. People will always have their own personalized reasons as to why they don't want a certain something, and I guess that's okay for as long as they don't really become a nuisance to some other people or groups of people that have differing beliefs than them.

Well, I guess let the hatred flow from their veins and be done with it. There's nothing we can really do about it honestly.

Some folks despite the visible positive impacts of cryptocurrencies and reviews from Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk, Michael Saylor and other popular crypto advocates have refused to change their stance on it. They don't just oppose Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies but they wish it would die. For example, Buttcoin is a reddit forum where Bitcoin is "crucified" daily. In that forum, Bitcoin has been called "a scam", "a negative sum game". Also, David Gerald who is an anti-crypto activist has publicly cleared his hatred for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. According to him, “I think the future of cryptocurrencies is that it will become increasingly regulated and normalised. People want regulation of this because they want to know where they stand and what they can do with this sort of thing. I think that speaking technically they are junk-quality assets. They are not backed by anything they are volatile as hell. They have a price because people will pay for them and that’s all.”

My Questions now are, Why do some people hate cryptocurrency so much? What's their back story? Did they ever lose a huge amount of money in cryptocurrency?
You will find two kind of haters over here. One of them invested when the price was high and sold when the price was low, thus incurring a loss. Others are the one that hate bitcoin because they didn't invest when they had the opportunity to. They think the price is now high, its too late and they lost the opportunity. Hence, all they do now is hate crypto currencies with passion. People that call bitcoin scam, don't know how it works. If they educate themselves about crypto currencies even a little, they might change their opinion. But they don't bother doing that. Too much work for them. Easier to call it a scam.

Hatred is mold when you havent able to meet up your expectations towards your investment. You would definitely hate Bitcoin is you do expect too much on making money.

You should think that every investment does have corresponding risk and would still require some work for you to earn profits and in the time that you hadnt meet your expectation
then this is where hate would come from.

When you are aware on the first place then you wouldnt really get that frustrated.

Those people hated only when they failed to hold their coins and most of them were frustrated during the times of cheaper btc. They consider bitcoin as their strong rivals specially on businesses with earned fiat, their mindset always thought btc would caused negative impact on their profit. But it's all totally wrong perceptions, because btc holders still cash out their physical money for fiat in order to enjoy their money in purchasing local goods and physical stuff.
These folks hated btc without any strong proof, yet they remained innocent while btc continued to prosper.

Most of the time bitcoin haters were the newbies to the cryptocurrency market. Beginners just get into cryptocurrency trading or other form of investment believing it as a way to make profit. Fortunately this won't happen everytime, and when the market doesn't support the predictions what happens is loss. This time the user doens't have the mind to accept the mistake, but states that cryptocurrency market is wrong. This is how haters emerge in the market.
Or simply to those people who had expected that much into this market and even do thinks that they could really be rich in no time or have lots of money in a short span of time and when reality do slaps into their faces then this is the time they do realize that it isnt simple as it sounds or not really that possible on what they do have in mind. For those people who cant just accept the reality then it turns out that they do become haters
instead of becoming a new supporter but for sure sooner or later they would really be that having curiousity in mind and will come back but already have that knowledge that they
had get into their past mistakes.

I don't think that this kind of people have some back story to hate Bitcoin this much. This is mostly because being uncomfortable about a new type of money. This kind of people usually have investments into fiat and don't want them to become worthless. They are afraid that Bitcoin can grow too big and leave even fiat behind in the future.

Doubt or loss could be the two of the main reasons for that.
It's either these people doesn't have enough risk tolerance to invest their hard earned money, so they're envious about the others achievements. Or it could be that these people had a heavy loss when they tried investing in Bitcoin.

There were actually a lot of reasons why people hates Bitcoin. Some just stayed away from it, but some creates some FUD crucifying Bitcoin in a daily basis.

You shouldn't be surprised though, every innovative technology experienced this at the start from the people and until the number of governments that acknowledge Bitcoin increase which I believe will make naive people understand Bitcoin is here to stay because the majority of the people that refuse to change their stance about Bitcoin are either influence by people like Bill Gate, Warren Buffett, and government.

If the governments from powerful countries acknowledge Bitcoin today people's negative stance about Bitcoin will change.

My Questions now are, Why do some people hate cryptocurrency so much? What's their back story? Did they ever lose a huge amount of money in cryptocurrency?
The people that hate Bitcoin hate for some reason which we may not know all but they mostly hate Bitcoin because of the independence it gives to people and some people see it as a rival to their business example is Buffett or a hindrance to their income.

There are so many reasons to which people hate bitcoin, most people due to thier recent experience investing in bitcoin and loosing their funds there blame it on bitcoin whereas bitcoin volatility is what makes it profitable, price will not just keep increasing surely there will be a retrace so by this buyers not just buy at any point so as to avoid loses, most people are just being ignorant buying the top, loosing funds and blame it on bitcoin.

Some of these people are those oldies working in the banking sector and in the government, where fiat is everything.

But mostly are newbies who were scammed, hacked, loss in trading, anything that bad happens because of lacking knowledge on how to'sa fter they enter investing bitcoin.
Seriously, everyone I've talked to that either works in the banking industry or is close by to those that do work in it, are so hostile to Bitcoin without any substance behind their reasoning's. In fact, they must be some of the most stubborn people I've talked to when it comes to Bitcoin. I find that their favourite buzz word when it comes to Bitcoin is; "Bubble", "Bitcoin is a bubble", and "it will burst". I've pretty much given up talking to them about it at this point.

There are several factors that make them hate bitcoin, the main factor is because they have experienced heavy losses due to carelessness due to being involved with bitcoin without being based on adequate knowledge with the reason of wanting to make a quick profit.
and besides that there are also those who feel sorry for being late or not trusting bitcoin before, and after the bitcoin price soared beyond their expectations they regretted it and turned to hate it.
and most people hate bitcoin for their own fault with reason, suffer heavy losses and also regret being late.

what is unbelievable is that these people who hate bitcoin in a time like this where the price of adopting bitcoin is very high just makes these people who hate bitcoin shame. bitcoin has been accepted by big companies like paypal, at such a big stage of adoption like this one shouldn't focus on a small group of people who just aim to hate bitcoin for no good reason

For certain, what drives their hate towards bitcoin is envy and regrets.

for people who like gold they look at bitcoin as something that is drawing attention away from gold and they come to hate bitcoin. by that I mean that every person who hates bitcoin for some petty reason hides

For certain, what drives their hate towards bitcoin is envy and regrets. They are just too disappointed with their life that it hurts them inside seeing many people having their lives getting better with the help of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. They push themselves to force other to go down with them as they feel the regret of not believing on bitcoin when they had the chance to do so before. It can also be because they became too complacent with their investment and ended up losing everything they have as they fail with the huge risk they took and now they want others to experience it too.

It's rather funny that people see endorsements from someone like Elon Musk as real proof that he supports it. He is an egotistical show-off who is good at playing the media to get the response that he wants (most of the time). Elon is good at following trends or what is "hot" right now because it has favored his Tesla business in the past. He knows that his twitter followers will blindly jump at his command and has manipulated the price of cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin for his own amusement - if they were regulated properly then he would likely be facing fines or fraud charges (like the penny stock traders you saw in Wolf of Wall Street pedaling trash). When the SEC reprimanded him and threatened his position at Tesla he had to find another outlet to toy with his minions.

My guess is most of the people that hate on bitcoin are simply doing so because either they haven't  invested in it  and want the ones that did to not succeed , or they have hidden profits in bitcoin failling, or they have invested in stocks and other commodities and seeing bitcoin becoming the number one investement goes against thier investments.

Probably these people are hurted because they have lost the early days of bitcoin when it was cheap as 1$. Since they didn't make profit from bitcoin and always badmouthed the crypto currency, all they can do for now is to hope it dies. Pay attention and you will see people like this mostly appear at commentary sections of several sites and forums spreading negativity when we are facing a crash, dump, dip in the market.
But once bitcoin starts recovering, they just fade out until they smell a new opportunity to blame bitcoin again.

apart from that, let's see first who hates bitcoin, for example the case of trump who hates bitcoin because he thinks that bitcoin will be a threat to the USD, besides that there is Warren Buffett who doesn't like Bitcoin because he considers it an unproductive asset, but on the other hand he don't understand technology.
from these two people alone we can conclude that bitcoin will become something very big and will continue to grow in the future and those who hate bitcoin are people who feel threatened by the advantages they have from others because they will lose competitiveness with bitcoins.
and as something of value, of course, it will not be separated from the pros and cons because it is very reasonable so there will definitely be a lot of people who hate bitcoin even though on the other hand there are lots of bitcoins who want it.

I think that many who hate Bitcoin may have had a bad experience after investing in cryptocurrencies and losing all their money, the lack of experience of beginners in the crypto world is what makes them take a bad impression about investing in cryptocurrency or perhaps they thought that investing in cryptocurrencies achieves rapid wealth, and when they entered the market, they quickly exited without achieving this wealth, so they blamed Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and not themselves.

Based on how David described it, most likely he was one of those newcomers that tried using BTCitcoin for the wrong reason [an investment asset] and that has probably led to a disaster.
- It's quite obvious something is wrong with them when all they see, is its volatile nature [BTCitcoin brings more than that to the table].
