I mean, the technology speaks for itself- a revolutionary payment method which eliminates the need for a third-party user on transactions. It's like the reputation of bitcoin is bound to be famous but media played a significant factor on bitcoin's mass adoption and popularity. Unfortunately, it went both ways since bitcoin was portrayed as a medium for illegal acts (silk road and dark web) and as a revolutionary payment method.

Fortunately, the merits overwhelmingly outweighs all the negative effects of bitcoin, which quickly skyrocketed its price relatively faster than any investment. Since then, successful corporations and influencers have continuously bashed bitcoin as being a 'bubble' but it still remained dominant in the market despite all of which news circulated prejudicial to it.

I think the more projects are putting their focus on on mobile first development and makes the entire experience super simple this will have a greater push for mass adoption. I am really looking forward to seeing David Chaums project elixxir come to fruition because it looks to mass adoption first

Your goal is very supportive of the development of bitcoin, right if many people use bitcoin, the higher the price of the coin. I have always been thinking and giving positive messages to my friends to invest in bitcoin. Hopefully bitcoin can become the world's first digital currency.
There is nothing hopeful, it is the world's first digital currency that has added a new word cryptocurrency to the dictionary. By now each person cannot help with mass adoption. There is continued spreading happening through the word of mouth from each and ever user. Through me more than fifteen people came to know about bitcoin, but very few have began to use it.

Of course knowing what it is is a lot different from actually using and applying that knowledge. I think by now majority of the people have either heard, watched or read about bitcoin one way or another. So word of mouth and curiosity did it's part in making people aware. But adoption is when people accept bitcoin and it's uses. That'll be way harder to pound in people's heads than just simply letting them know about it.

I preach bitcoin to my colleagues at work most often but they find it difficult to ascertain everything or understand the whole concept of crypto but I have realized that, the reason why they find it difficult to understand is that, they are not willing to learn on their own. Crypto is concept and you have to read broad and wide to understand it. Some makes it difficult for us to preach the crypto industry but nothing absolutely is going to stop us from preaching it to promote mass adoption.

I was sceptic about cryptocurrencies at first. The one thing that helped me in understanding it better (and eventually got really intrested in it) was a chance to easily exchange BTC to real-world currencies like Euros. Also, fees felt like a thing to be worried about, but when I checked some of the offers (mine all-time favourite must be: CoinDeal's Fees), it was no longer a problem.

The first step i have in mind is to promote bitcoin in social networking websites. Most of the people are now using smartphones. Another thing, some merchants already accepting bitcoin as a payments. Therefore, it is a good step for massive adoption. People are now curious about that kind of method and will patronize btc because of the convenience given by it.

I think the best way to promote bitcoin to be adopted by many is to build its reputation. With all the hackers around many would be scared to
consider in investing a lot of time in saving currencies in addition open to the risk of getting robbed online. Cry

Given the fact that the internet has a bad reputation of being abused as a medium of hacking. We can effectively promote bitcoin by simply explaining to others what is  and why bitcoin is safe and secured.
To all students out there who takes computer related courses I suggest that you consider on researching on how to make the cryptocurrency more secure than it is. Bitcoin still has a long journey of innovation to take until it could be considered the main medium of exchange.  ;

Personally, I have used my position as the church treasurer in my church to introduce the use of bitcoin for payment of tithes and offerings. Members who use bitcoins are given my bitcoin wallet to make payments, while others can pay cash.
I run a little computer training institute and all my workers are paid in bitcoins. My students have a 2% fees deduction if they pay in bitcoins.

In my own way, through my efforts, over 40 persons and counting have adopted bitcoin and are actively using them. I hold seminars for them and others as well. Through your efforts too, more people can adopt bitcoin, lets become the droplets of water that makes a big ocean.
Brighten the corner where you are, preach bitcoin, live bitcoin, love bitcoin, use bitcoin untill the whole world adopts it

The issue with that it is hard to tell the technical aspect to a laymen which is a vital piece in BITCOIN to understand its complete working so how do you propose that we counteract that issue.

You are right, sometimes we all sit here and claim to see bitcoin being adopted globally yet we actually don't put any work into our words. If we really want to see bitcoin being used like our fiat currencies then i guess crypto enthusiasts need to put in maximum effort in getting news about bitcoin out there.

I have been promoting it to my friends and family since I found out about it ,
And if they like it I am sure that they would also recommend it to their friends and since I earned decent amount from it I think that they are also bragging it to some of their friends and family.
I started from nothing and they show how crypto turns my life upside down so I think it is enough proof for them to be attracted or try it out to.

Tackling Climate Change Using Blockchain
This is a question everyone needs to ask his or herself. We all want bitcoin price to pump but most people dont think of how they will promote bitcoin in other for it to be massively adopted forgetting the price of bitcoin will only pump high when its fully adopted for use. We should do our best to educate people about the use of bitcoin and blockchain technology if we want to see it fully adopted all across the globe.

actually we don't need to promote it. we only need to use it every day. it's difficult to introduce something if they don't know the benefits and advantages. I am here using Bitcoin to transfer money between countries. this is more profitable than sending money through a bank. although the risk of volatile is very high, this can make people interested in using it.

This is a good question. The right people to answer would be the Early adopters and Original inhabitants of the forum. Those are the only people who can actually make a difference because they have enough BTC to make a difference. The rest of us can post away all we want, it won't change the fact that majority of BTC is being hoarded due to lack of avenues to spend or to avoid taxation.

Even on our forum, not enough of these people can be found. Maybe due to privacy reasons and the very real risks that early adopters have if they are known to be big hodlers. This is the major impediment in adoption. No matter how many free tutorials spring up, without a spending spree, BTC isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Imagine if the Federal Reserve had decided to hoard all its USD bills and opened a million free tuitions to tell people about the "advantages" of Fiat currency. Would we ever see adoption on the global scale we have now?? No.  Fiat gets adopted because those who produce it and hold it, spread it out in form of wages and as public investments.

Unfortunately, those who produce BTC (Miners), sell it off to maintain operations and earn Fiat. Those who hold it (Early adopters, 1000+ purse-holders), JUST HODL IT. I believe that maybe a jolly few amongst them open Sig campaigns and run Gambling dens here at the forum. That is what maintains the trickle down effect. Where are all the others from the forgotten tombs of BCT?? Fuck knows.. Grin Roll Eyes

This could be a good discussion if a few old people came forward anonymously to actually tell their stories.

what we personally could do is to vote for its regulation when governments put such law under discussion and consideration. we must not keep silent

In my country the bitcoin payment is forbidden, but its okay for trading, so I can't asked anyone to pay me in bitcoin,

The government cant stop you from using a cryptos because cryptos are not controlled by any single authority  .  government can only restrict local exchange and stores that are related to crypto  . you can still send and recieve you cryptos mate  , dont worry  .

the best things I can do is to introduce bitcoin to all of my friends and explain in detail what is the advantage and the future of bitcoin, spreading knowledge about crypto currencies in social media and asked people joining seminars

That is a verry nice way to promote bitcoin mate . that would help trigger the mass adoption that everyone wants  . make sure to explain in a non technical manner .  avoid using complex words   and lastly use some example like showing them you wallet and its balance , show your reciept    . in that way you can easily encourage people around you  .

When there is some form of promotion through ads automatically it'll reach a large number of common people. Now without any form of promotion, just through the users it has reached this, this is how growth needs to be. When we keep promoting through ads we need to face lot of legal issues, another thing important is the spending. As it is decentralized no authority takes responsibility in spreading it to the world.
