for an apps, i use tabtrader, polo tracker and ztrader although i am familiar with tabtrader only and i using the two other apps for just checking market conditions. i think that three apps is helping me to make buy and sell order in poloniex and bittrex. if you decide to use the apps, make sure you are only setting for trade and not withdraw to safe your bitcoin from the hacking.
That’s a sincere advice though. Never ever use apps to withdraw bitcoins because they are at stake of being hacked. Polo tracker and tabtrader are nice apps to do a safe trading. But just relying on apps is not going to help much. Reading genuine articles by experts really help.

That can be difficult if you rely on external parameters for what constitutes a dump. 20% of current value? 50%? Some coins have shows even 100% loss in this past week.

What may be easier is this: setting up buy orders on each platform for the coins you would like to buy should they dump. That's even better than an alert, since a trade will trigger if the price dump matches your order.
Yeah the buy order setting is a nice idea; this is how you can achieve your goals more efficiently and without any extra efforts. But you should be careful about the app that you are using; there are some apps that don’t show the appropriate price depends on the exchange they use. So, sometimes things go wrong this how.

I don't think any special app like that exist or any application for notifying about the price are there. I could think of only pop ups coming from the websites or may be you can check the sites two three times in a day for instance.

You can get any android based wallet or exchanger app on your phone. They always have alert option in built. Even you can set the amount at which you want to get notified. For example, if you set price drop of 100 dollars then it will pop up window saying the price is dropped by hundred dollars and it will tell you the current price. It's pretty cool feature and available in every app I guess.

Did you mean pump and dump group? I already joined one but there's a fee and it's not cheap at all. I don't recommend it because altcoin market is sleeping deep this past few weeks. But they are doing great on giving signals. You can PM me if you want. But there's a one time fee. Using free apps or tips came from unknown source can lead you to losses. If you want to trade on your own. Make a research about the particular coin.

Have you tried the application called blockfolio,
It is an application which gives you details about the coin that you want to watch .
I am using this app through my mobile phone, it's very easy to use and you can configure on the price it wants to alert you.
I have like 15 altcoins added in my blockfolio and I monitor it regularly so I know the price of the coins that I'm keeping an eye of, this is recommended if you want a simple one that is also free to download.

By the way, I'm an android user, heres the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blockfolio.blockfolio&hl=en

Pretty good application if it can alert Op for buy opportunity, although I do not use it but check bitcoin or altcoins prices through exchanges constantly evey few hours and read the market data or some news regards its development will make you have more sight and consider to buy or sell at the right time, it is doesn't hard to do.

There are multiple sites and even the smartphone applications to monitor and trigger notifications for the particular price of the bitcoin and if I am not wrong then even the bots like Gunbot and C.A.T would automate the process for you so that you won't even need to manually place the buy order at a particular price level. However, those bots are little bit costly yet effective in my opinion.
The bots are costly only if you can manage your trade easily if someone is short of time and can’t handle his trade then bots are the best option to choose for trading purpose. They only charge you for the services they provide you. In my personal opinion bots are better than the apps because you can sometime miss the alert due to other activities.

Bitcoin checker will also provide you the same kind of services. You will have to set a certain figure and just leave itself monitoring the market. Meanwhile, you may attend to your other responsibilities in life. It will just sound the alarm and alert you whenever a certain figure is reached. That's the time you will attend to it.
Wow this sounds great, it means that you are no more bound to stick to your computer for trading.

But there may be a little difficulty in managing this app because it will give you alert when the price reach to a specific point which you have feed in it, it will not give you an alert when the price reaches near to the price and here the manual monitoring works better.

I don't know if any apps exist, but can't you get trade alerts or something through poloniex or other exchanges?  They have those at brokerages in the stock market.   I'm not really an active trader, so my ignorance shows.

Can't you just watch the market "manually"?  You're aware that bitcoin is in a dip right now,  I assume.  Shitcoins as well.  Might be a good buying opportunity now, no?
Me too,ive never heard one before also. He's right you can just check it manually if you have time, but if your too busy with and doesn't have enough time to look for, just browse some in google maybe you can find one there or while you are checking manually maybe you can encounter some strategies on how to manage it.

Those things are way too extensive. Wish I can find someone who is willing to resell it cheap. All my coin are tied up in exchanges. Very little is spared for the expensive bots.

Why do you need application, except here you can see for yourself on any exchange site when its the bid drop of many coins. I check exchange sites couple times per day, for example today`s morning is green morning everything is going back up slowly.
There is no better way then to check it yourself, and not on one site, I open several side by side and like that I have the best look on situation. That is one of the first things I do when I wake up, and I`m free to sit in front of my computer, if I`m working when I come back from work. Like others said, its best to do your own research, then to trust some app.

I don't think that there exists any better platform for this because I seen many types of the telegram groups , websites , and YouTube channels where I found many information for the pump and dump for the particular coins but in reality when I get involved in that types of the pumping , I get much loss and after every loss they said that sorry for the mistake and wrong information .
So here in my opinion we should use own and make big analysis for the coins and invest at better timing .
because as all are worst so trust at them is not a better option for us .
But still.here a new site I found in this forum , his name was like cryptomoon ,which gaves the information for the pump for particular coins but I am not sure how much the accuracy in the prediction in.the signals of the site .

There are no apps or application going to notice you, but I heard there are a group that being created to pump and dump and most of them can be contacted through telegram, but you need to be careful sometimes the information that they give can be mislead, rather than depends on that, it is better to learn  the proper trading
