It won't I'll buy it and many other people just the way we did when the margin traders got wrecked on GDAX, well too bad for them, so much improvement is in store for the Ethereum platform. Sell it if you want someone else will come buy it.

Looks like a risky buy to me. Members of this forum that are highly respected for their knowledge about the tech have warned about problems/flaws with etherum for a long time. Traders have chosen to ignore it because they made good money. Can they continue to ignore it now?

It'd take some serious failure on ETH and/or all tokens being disabled or leaving. I don't see ETH plummeting to zero, but short term there will definitely be a drop; the transaction backlog is causing huge problems downstream, one reason why the token system is flawed.

What will happened, if ethereum completely fails and go to zero. I know, its highly unlikly... But what if? Does it means all cryptocurrencies based on ETH will fall with it? It just makes me wonder, so I wanted to ask you guys. Thank you for your respond.
That questions doesn't make sense. What's the eth marketcap? Zero , eth price now 0.123 to be zero. You may wait 10 years later may be zero or may be 5000 usd. if ETH down to 0.09 , it can be possible, I wait for that to buy. you will make profit after that because the price will rise again.

ETH keeps BTC miners in check to push forward with unity to scale. Can't do it without a competitive threat. Otherwise BTC miners wouldn't be motivated to scale. It's in their interest not to.

Too big to fall?

Underrated comment right here. At least it would be if we wouldn't have had "The DAO" and consequently ETC.

I don't think that it would just fall down to zero because of its demands,And there I think most of the ICO are also connected to ETH .

"Does it means all cryptocurrencies based on ETH will fall with it?"

Man, wonder why this never crossed my mind. What a scary situation it would be.  This's a major loophole  hackers could take advantage of and ruin most Altcoin on Ethereum Network.

There should always be backup plan for everything. Hope they have one.

I agree that if ETH went to zero it would cause BTC to rise. The reason I say this is because the amount of money currently in ETH. Wouldnt people see the drop and just switch over to BTC or perhaps they would wait and buy ETH at the bottom. I certainly hope this does not happen because Im new to the crypto world and the worst thing I see about the whole process is the fact the price fluctuates too much. As a result real investors are probably rethinking about investing. Oh well Im a newbie what do I know.

The projects based on ether are still running on the blockchain and should be fine.

Sure they would take a hit as their valuation is largely based on ether price when the ico was held, but the projects itself should not be dead.

Even when bitcoin suffers some price crash days ago, all crytpo currencies suffers the same fate with it. Not to talk of a coin  if a coin is designed on ETH and the price falls to zero , if possible the dependent coin would have gone into negative in terms of the value while some would have been delisted because of the ridiculous low prices that they would be traded.

ETH is just one of the many altcoins available on the market.
It's far unlikely to drop to zero just like that, but it's just one of the altcoins available in the market.

Other altcoins will be affected ? YES
Bitcoin ? NOT REALLY.

But it's still not that simple to happen. It's the second biggest crypto currency after bitcoin.

If you think ETH is going to 0, then open a short and get rich. I doubt you will do that.

I think it will survive, but it's going to dive pretty hard. People will start realizing now how much of a clusterfuck ETH is and the difficulties it will have to scale. ICO activity is making the blockchain grow at retarded rates and it's having an impact as exchanges freeze ETH trading. Get your popcorn ready.

Just finding the new floor.
Massive support and buy walls set at the $300 floor followed by the opposite at 400.
We are going to play this game of pong for a few weeks.
Should be super easy to buy low and sell high,

Etheureum is an alt coin that is quite influential after bitcoin.
The impact that will occur if ETH is worth zero is a tremendous mess on cryptocurrency.
But in my opinion this is a small possibility.
