What is happening presently in the cryptocurrency market is market correction. And the correction period is usually longer than the pump period. So I don't think anything big will happen this year.
This bear market isn't going to last forever. Buying bloody bear markets is how fortunes are made. Not everyone is rich because not everyone has the testicular fortitude to do it.
of course trusting the market with slow growth is very difficult. but if a lot of people buy assets in the current market situation it is most likely when the market recovers later and the bears change into the bulls of all those who dare to take risks will become rich from the asset purchases made now.

It could be that the market has no change, it is falling, or the market can grow and make a high jump. Can only speculate and whatever happens later I will accept it.
Cryptocurrencies are developed everyday and the progress is huge, so I do not think that it is meaningful question.
We will be two weeks in 2019 and there are a lot of changes but unfortunately, these changes are not good, Ethereum is falling and they are down again in the third spot and the market continues to be weak even if there is a coming fork for Ethereum.
With bitcoin as well other cryptocurrencies there is nothing assured, it's all about speculation. Market scenario change with time, also the market adoption is much needed for a large scale growth. Till last year users didn't had big expectation on the peak growth, but after it reached above $20000 the expectation has grown high. We users can just hope for the best to happen.
What are the pessimistic/Sane/optimistic and wildly optimistic predictions for the 2021 price of BTC in your opinion?
I'd say the BTC will hit the $10000 before the end of 2020.
Plus predictions are just you know "predictions" we can never know whats going on / what will happen in the crypto market.

2018 is not a profitable year for almost all Crypto enthusiasts. Though there's an increase in adoption of blockchain technology but almost all crypto assets have lost close to 90% of their all time high and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. In some weeks now, we will say goodbye to 2018 and the hope of market recovery will now cling to 2019. Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.
I think there is no way things will not change for good next year,2019, the crypto market cannot continue like this all the time, our believe is that some fundamental information will help redress the situation for good
It is difficult to say what will happen to the market in 2019, but promise new technologies in the cryptocurrency sphere, as well as many new discoveries that will change the market and with these discoveries the market will have to start growing, and if nothing happens, we will have to wait another year and hope for the best.
I think that in the beginning of 2019 nothing will change. Again there will be a fall and small growths. Perhaps in the spring we will see something else, but this requires positive changes in the market and good news.

Im hoping for maybe 2 years of stagnation so i can build stacks. I hope for my stack to consist of 10 BTC 100 Eth, as much GRIN as I can mine in 1.5 years and about 50k LUD.

Will still support bitcoin what happens in 2019 or 2020 because I believe cryptocurrency is the future of payment system so long time investment will be much benefit table for us. If you are doing crypto trading then fine a job which can give monthly earnings for you then you won't were worried much about your crypto prices falling.
It is possible ,anything is possible in crypto space ,we might yet start seeing huge dumps again but I'm just so sure that it won't be like 2018 ,this year will be better
