I think it will be difficult to happen especially the many people and countries that currently accept bitcoin. accept bitcoin for a country in other words accept every policy that exists in the blockchain world. why people believe in bitcoin because they know the value of bitcoin itself. I mean if someone already trusts bitcoin then it will continue to happen and it will be difficult to stop it. nothing can stop the belief in bitcoin itself. Fiat money and digital money have their advantages and I think they can go hand in hand without eliminating each other.

Bitcoin has no physical presence. What if we just stop believing in bitcoin. I mean every country has the equivalent of gold to their fiat. Bitcoin has no gold or physical value. Can this ever happen ?

I am note sure what the future will be but as of the moment, I don't wanna stop believing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It is still effective in me like helps me earn real money. I think last for more years as long as there is internet and as long as many people supports bitcoin. I already tried to make myself away from crypto but it does not work. I found myself missing crypto thing even though how risky it is.

Pretty dumb expressing that same thought over and over again like other anti-crypto people even after all that has happened/took place all throughout these years. Being new to this industry, that is understandable but not reading enough about the industry you are in is really dumb in the eyes of the people here that you are asking. Hope this experience changes you for the better. Read read read. Trust me, you'll need it like air in this industry.

So you believe everything that has physical presence and others those who don't have you won't believe them? Bitcoin is a currency operated on trust and decentralised mechanism even though there is no physical coins available but if you or some others will not believe it then it's not going to change anything and it will still remain a currency which can be used in transactions. So make sure you believe it.

Bitcoin has no physical presence. What if we just stop believing in bitcoin.
You stop but we won't. But there are a lot of brokers that allows you to buy different stocks online and that means that they also have no physical presence since you bought a stock online and you don't hold any stock certificate but only through that broker, you own that stock.

I mean every country has the equivalent of gold to their fiat. Bitcoin has no gold or physical value. Can this ever happen ?
Why would you ask something that's already obvious? Despite bitcoin has no physical appearance, its value is priced in due to the demand of it and with the help of miners. Think of how much power it emits from the miners to confirm transactions. It's like the oil that's too pricey now.

It is not easy to do that. Bitcoin is not only about the physical form to believe.
Many have a discussion about this and many people who are against Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies also think about why should believe in something that is not real?
Well, that is the technology, there have been stated clearly in the whitepaper about Bitcoin.
If you don't believe in BTC, just go on, but don't even invite others or force others to not believe, BTC is related to money and many people have proven about this for a long time ago, And the progress and journey of Bitcoin itself is not easy
I think, the feeling of doubt because bitcoin doesn't have a physical makes him think that what if people don't believe in bitcoin anymore. well, this has been discussed a lot, and indirectly asks how bitcoin has a price.
however, many people have always doubted bitcoin because they said it was not physical, or they thought it was a bubble. however, the more days, the adoption of bitcoin is getting bigger, even recognized by the state. there may be some risks of using bitcoin and the most obvious is the price. however, I think people will continue to use this technology. even those who previously did not believe, now believe bitcoin.

Why would one stop believing in Bitcoin at this point seeing and Knowing how Bitcoin is effective right now.
Depends on how you define "effective"

In terms of store of value - yes effective but carries its own risk.
In terms of moneytary transfer - this depends on the parties involved, where they live and their local laws. So better to say, less effective.
In terms of censorship-resistant - effective indeed.

Quote
If one who understands Bitcoin very well and how Bitcoin is valuable and feel to stop believing Bitcoin I think that's swimming in ignorance.
Bitcoin is valuable only because it has been made valuable. If today a number of countries decide to outlaw it, the bad effect of that will be seen in its prices, although this is much less likely to happen in reality because majority of countries are democratic. While the price of 1BTC is always 1BTC, the fiat value of that only changes due to supply and demand. It does not increase the 1BTC to 2BTC.

Also it is wrong to say that a person of a different opinion is ignorant. Opinions are never right or wrong, they are personal and they cannot be compared.

Gold is a physical precious asset that has it value and use in the real world. When Good was not yet known for its importance, it was not valued until the time came and till now, it remains a precious stone. This is a process which gradually moves to the permanent side and which cannot be removed from the heart of men that Gold is of no value.
Looking at Bitcoin, it is a digital currency that is still growing and gaining the interest and attention of users and investors. When Bitcoin was at a very low value, when it's popularity was less than 2% of the crypto world, there where believers who where using it until now it has become something everyone is trying to get.
If there were believers when the price was below $1, there will be no way people will stop believing in it now the price has gone above $50k.

Assuming that everyone does that, then that can only mean that bitcoin will crash and there's no more recovery or bounce back because with no one believing in bitcoin, no one is also going to use it and without any users, the demand will fall. That's the simple scenario that will happen when we  all do that.

As long as the community of bitcoin believes in the true value of this digital currency I would doubt that bitcoin will be losing its value. But on the other hand, we all knew that the community of bitcoin that believes in the worth or value of these assets are the true real representation of the existence of bitcoin in the economy and if people will lose it's faith and stop believing in bitcoin then I think this is the point that I'll get worried for the worst case scenario.
When you lose belief in something, then the only thing you can do is to stop thinking. But, in case of bitcoin it's not going to happen because it's not going to belief less even recently we have some more peoples now joining this community and having good belief on this digital cryptographic currency. And as we have Internet no one going to lose belief in bitcoin if you want to stop this then first stop availability of internet then surely it's possible. I became a fan of this technology. How could I stop believing in it.

Maybe those who think that way cannot find any ways to earn bitcoin and they are been a victim of scam that's why they give that statement that maybe forgetting it since it will be something like outdated or anything worse than that. But if we really think about it and look at the brighter side bitcoin is already adopted by a country although there's only one country make it as a legal tender yet but for sure more country to follow once they see the country who adopt it succeed on what they do.
Most of criticisms and lost up some hope on dealing with bitcoin or simply do hate it are the ones who had experienced these unfortunate events specially on getting scammed or lost up money.

Its really hard to believe on someone would lost up their trust and belief with bitcoin in terms of its real actual use case and its benefits or opportunity to make some profits or money.

It cant really be denied that there are lots of opportunities that you can hop on for your advantage but of course it would really be needing some effort.

Lol, that's not possible. When Bitcoin was created (when people least believed in it), people still bought it! And there are so many people who had invested from the early time till now. So if they didn't give up then, do you think that they'll give up now that it's getting more popular on a daily basis? This question would be more valid if you asked it when Bitcoin was launched, but, it has been launched and it is successful already (There's always that someone somewhere that is confident about it).

I guess the OP's question is not relevant anymore today. You are right, this question may have an impact at the early stage of btc. But today, with what it has achieved in the market, I don't think people will just stop believing for no reason. The scope is already wide so much so that, stopping this market would be very hard to do. Maybe, ask a more relevant question towards bitcoin but this one, not really worth a discussion anymore.

It is a big NO and besides, people had such kind of mindset but all at them, they are now pursuing to have some Bitcoin. They simply stop their minds thinking that was a scam, that was not market value as they found out that they were wrong.

Only those people who have a bad experience with crypto will do this. What if? it never makes sense at all and why? That is because we've been knowing that Bitcoin is a thing that could give us a fortune. We can't deny this thing as people had come and taken the risk no matter what just for this sake and even we can't touch it physically but we trusted and believing Bitcoin.

Of course, this will not happen, but if, of course, you imagine such a state of bitcoin, then immediately it will collapse in price, or maybe it will come close to 0, because cryptocurrency is mainly based on hype, rarely coins take off from their technology, basically there is no coin ...

If we hypothetically stopped believing in bitcoin we will probably see the market becoming insignificant and the market plummeting really fast, but those things can't happen. I mean no way that everyone in this crypto community is thinking the same thing and are agreeing on the same thing, it's close to impossible from ever happening.

Since ancient times there have been incredulous people in our time we see it daily. I share a teaching of the bible that is presented to me on many occasions by which I identify myself. With my thinking I am only comparing that we are lucky because we believe in bitcoin. The biblical passage in reference is when Jesus resurrected on the third day and met his disciples and spoke especially to Tomas.

Quote
Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_20:29

The same thing happens to me with bitcoin and with other circumstantial things in life, you have to know how to identify what is real and bitcoin is one of them. Thanks to our belief in bitcoin, it occupies the position number 9 in the world capital market.

Interesting. I guess to lots of people, "seeing is believing". Those that are used to the physical would be toned more to physical/tangible things.
I think they would make sense of the virtual coin if it can be touched, Maybe exchanging a "physical bitcoin" with peers for products or services will convince them.
