We all agree we're living in a crazy world and what's far worse is that it is managed by a bunch of clowns..
So, let's think wildly, one day US were to further increase the censorship just like some of the other countries in the world, they ban bitcoin, they ban VPN, they pass legislation for those who mine/trade/spend btc will be sent to jail.
(Let's not say it's not going to happen. It can! You never know just like you would never have known that there's a war in 2022.)

Other countries start to follow.

Where will you be and what kind of life will it be and how is it going to impact yours?

If this happens please contact me.  I will try to help you.

In my country the bitcointalk forum is blocked.  To access the bitcointalk website, you need to use a VPN.  At the same time, VPNs themselves are blocked from time to time, therefore, with a certain frequency, you have to look for new technical solutions to bypass the blocking.  And there are solutions!

Prohibitions always lead to the beginning of opposition to these prohibitions.  And then the epic battle of armor and projectile begins.

A total ban on Bitcoin will lead to widespread adoption of new cryptographic protocols that are more anonymous and private.  In particular, in my opinion, a large number of crypto enthusiasts will pay attention to a coin like Monero.

Worst case scenario, panic and market crash. We have seen this many times now. Every time Bitcoin got targeted for ban, it fell in the past, but got up even stronger than before. It is decentralized for a reason. No one has power over it. If you can keep it decentralized, you can do whatever you want with this. No ban on VPN or anything will work. But if you keep your assets in centralized exchanges, you will face problem if it gets banned. That's why you need to keep them in your personal wallet. Then there's nothing to worry about. I know people still use BTC secretly in countries where it is banned.

Well there is always a saying that, unimaginable is imaginable. Bitcoin operates p2p transaction so in what way the international or global Authorities can control or ban bitcoin. Will they create a software or app that will monitor all transactions in the cryptocurrency ecosystem? Banning bitcoin in the world will cause a great revolution in the whole world. As it was said by others the only way to stop bitcoin in the world is to stop or shut down the whole internet and that will cause a commotion in the world.

I assume this post to be a fiction because it is never bgonna happen as you have said. Truly the world is really crazy coupled with the clowns as you have said. Like I tell my friends, there is always a way out. So I believe before the government thinks of acting silly, the industry already has a way out to sort things so it would be near impossible to exterminate bitcoin and blockchain as as whole. What I believe they wou want to do is to control bitcoin by regulating it but already the centralised exchange are the government arm or body regulating Crypto trading so why should they start acting rashly when the too benefit from it through taxes paid by these exchanges in there country. Whether there is a ban or not, bitcoin will still be in existence and even more popular than it used to be.

Not all nations will follow big countries like the USA. Small nations like El Salvador have their own social, politics and economics conditions. They have to choose their best ways to cool down their national debts, economic crisis and they will be first nations that make big changes globally. They don't have big power like big nations but they are countries that will initiate new trends.
It's true not all nations will follow USA, but you're wrong if you think El Salvador wouldn't follow USA because they have a good politic relationship [1] El Salvador use USD as their main currency, it's a proof if USA will have strong affect to them.

There are 4 big countries in this world, America and Europa, China, Russia and Middle East countries (e.g. Palestine, Pakistan etc). If USA will ban Bitcoin, China was ban Bitcoin from long time ago, while Middle East countries mostly ban Bitcoin usage, so your last choice is Russia. The volume will be hardly decrease since people will panic selling.
I think this is more about how to approach bitcoin over how to approach USD, sure they use dollars but that doesn't mean that they are going to listen to USA until pressured into it. If given the option, they are happy with it and they are going to keep using it.

As I look at USA right now, I do not see them approaching bitcoin in a way that they would go as further as telling another nation to ban it, in fact it is not banned in their own nation, why would they tell someone else to ban it when it is not for themselves? People act as if USA may ban it at any moment constantly, and USA keeps on proving that they are fine with it, why make a big worry about it?

Human is smartest in the world and there are always have bug or some trick when any countries want to banned totally with Bitcoin begin from blocked access to exchange market website until having high protect without ability login trough VPN. I don't think any government want to try for banned Bitcoin because looking on how much taxes passive income with million transaction of cryptocurrency in daily day.

I live in unique country when have ministry of religion announced about Bitcoin is haram but few months later have another announcement from Ministry of Finance about Bitcoin will adopt as taxes, so all banned issues will gone trough looking on how potential passive taxes income with cryptocurrency.

If the world is going to be like that, of course if we look at it realistically I think it's the end of the world for cryptocurrency.  Regulations that have been made by many countries will certainly greatly affect the market in the cryptocurrency world.  There may be some investors and some crypto-savvy people who will oppose and fight for the survival of cryptocurrencies.  But this is a world of billions of people and not all of them know cryptocurrency very well.  But I hope that it won't happen and if we try to deny it, what you think is not going to come true because there are many factors that have to be looked at to want that to happen.  Like you need to make all countries in the world become communist countries to implement what you have in mind.  And from that alone we see that what you're afraid of is completely irrelevant.

They can only ban people from using them like they have and to what effect has it had, so far they can not shutdown bitcoins directly, they can not stop it. The motive for the government banning bitcoins cannot be good and in the interest of people but mostly themselves, people understand this and as a result, although the number of people who will decide to go against the government will not be many and it will have an effect in the number of people who will still have and use bitcoins, but the unfavorable policies will not discourage and stop everybody from using bitcoins.

When you no longer feel like you're benefiting from something, then I don't know what the best reason is for you to stick around and move on.
You shouldn't trade, invest, or mine bitcoins when your country's government doesn't give you many options. As you can imagine, it can happen and should not be underestimated. So there is always a reason why you shouldn't do it 100% with bitcoin even though we know there are great benefits we can expect from it.

The true consequence of bitcoin in relation to the government is that, there are risks that the holder should consider wisely so that it does not harm him financially or legally in your country.

I mean this topic has been brought up hundrets of times already.

So let me just say this: It's gonna be a constant back-and-forth -> legislation to increase control and cencorship vs innovation to protect privacy and freedom.
Subtle attempts to control crypto and Bitcoin specifically will be more efficient and are more scary than direct bans - because these things can happen unnoticed to the majority of Bitcoin users, which is far more scary than direct attacks (which would probably have an opposite effect because there would be a lot of resistence in freedom based societies).

It sounds like a science fiction to me but for argument if I consider this is happening, cryptos won't survive! Because majority of the crypto enthusiasts actually like to follow the law. So a huge amount of crypto holders will try to sell their holding which will eventually destroy the market.

Also a lot of other countries will then start following the same rule which will worsen the situation further. Only a small amount of holders will continue with cryptos but they will probably move to a privacy coin like Zcash or XMR. So the impact will be pretty severe for those over dependent on cryptocurrency.

If the USA decided to ban cryptos and introduce criminal responsibility for crypto operations, I'd be very surprised because I think there are strong enough democratic foundations in the US that wouldn't allow such things. That being said, even if we imagine that it happened, I would thankfully not be hurt by that much because I don't live in the US and don't intend to live there. My country has a long-term crypto-friendly roadmap, and I am sure that the US wouldn't be able to change that. Such a decision can have a major impact on the price and then countries may start choosing sides more actively, but I'm confident there will be enough countries that consider it a mistake and will allow Bitcoin to prosper on their lands.

Human rights in the United States are very strong, but if both parties vote to support Bitcoin's prohibition is still likely to occur. Let us not forget that politicians don't like Bitcoin, and if they feel Bitcoin threatens their national interests, whether want it or not, they will ban it. But a country will not be able to eliminate Bitcoin, they are not those who control this world. There will be many countries that follow the United States, if they place a ban and call for other countries to obey, but certainly will not be the whole world.

It could happen, but I think other countries are not following what the US is doing, so maybe those people can still use bitcoins for various things. The US cannot continue to use its power to pressure other countries to follow suit because currently, many countries are growing and developing and these countries can become the next strong countries. Now there is an invisible war. We don't know who will be the next winner. Meanwhile, if the ban happens in many countries, I think bitcoin will still be used by people, especially if they can still benefit from it.

There is only one case where bitcoin can be banned, and that is all governments join forces to ban bitcoin, there is no other way. But unfortunately, the world won't work that way, this world is multipolar. The US is the largest and most influential country in the world, but not everyone follows and follows them. If they had enough power, they could have stopped the war between Russia and Ukraine. Even if the US bans bitcoin, there will always be other countries accepting bitcoin, as long as they see the benefits of bitcoin. National interest always comes first.

They might not jointly and completely ban bitcoin. But they can damage very badly the community and the network. And this might be very likely to happen and when it does happen, the price of bitcoin will go dramatically down to probably few thousand if not hundred.

No, don't tell me 1btc=1btc. It is not when btc adoption is very very low. (although we hope we can live in a society where btc is the money we spend).

There are only two options. Either you follow the law, as most people will do, as no one wants to go to jail, or let's take that it's illegal and continue using it. It is like we treat bitcoin as a drug, and when transacting on it, we are doing transactions that no one can see. Also, I think it will still continue to circulate since some are still using it, and others may also continue to hold it and declare they sold it, but that isn't true as long as no one knows. As well, I will still continue using and earning bitcoin, but I am not now telling others about it.

I just have to bear and deal with it. There's nothing much I can do with it if there's a ban on everything related to bitcoin. But you know what's good with this matter is that they don't have complete control over it. Even if they ban it, it's only going to be available with things that they can see and it's hard for them to monitor transactions and know who are the people behind it. I have my investment in bitcoin and that will have a big impact on me but I'll just have to adjust whatever is going to be the policy where I am living.

China is currently adopting Bitcoin at a high rapid rate, ask why? Because no one can control this asset, it's definitely something that will interest China, I don't know why the USA will want to lack behind by watching China taking this lead, this doesn't and wouldn't stop the work of CBDC in any way, so yeah, VPN banning is impossible, and the worst that could happen to Bitcoin is the U.S slowing down the adoption rate, Bitcoin is unstoppable.
