If such an event happens, I am pretty sure that bitcoin will go much higher.

BUT, precious metals are most likely those who are going to do the big skyrocketing here, as most of the people who doesn't know bitcoin will search for a safe asset to put their money in and they will most likely get to gold and silver.

But nothing to worry about, it won't happen Cheesy

I think bitcoin will replace if us dollars crash if ever it happens the one who have bitcoin will earn more profit but i think its very impossible because dollar is the main currency of U.S and it will affect their economy
It will never be, US dollar is strong. Let's imagine your scenario if US dollar crashes, it is not only the US country itself would get affected but also the entire world. US is one of the country with a great economy and we know that all.

Yeah it is not going to happen even US dollar crashes, remember on where bitcoin is depending its value, its with US dollars right? So probably if US dollar crashes, then bitcoin will be affected and possible to crash too and as well as the countries who are also depending with the US government's economy.

No, it is not quite right

In fact, it is totally wrong, but you are entitled to disagree, of course. Such views won't change a thing when the US dollar crashes while Bitcoin surges, though you may lose a few excellent opportunities to earn decent profits for being on the wrong side of the trade. And that's exactly what we should expect since Bitcoin value is only priced in dollars just like many other things like gold, oil, etc, but that doesn't in the least mean that all these assets will suddenly become worthless if the US dollar collapses. Anyone with a half functioning brain could say their their price would rise exponentially in that case

I didn't said that it will be worthless but it will crash too and I'm saying about the domino effect if US dollar crashes. Many things are going to be affected not just the bitcoin economy and as well as other businesses that are built with the foundation of USD. But all the point you have said are all true and I won't argue with it.

Unthinkable, the dollar will collapse, the world economy will be how, will bring some economic disaster? Anyway, I hope bitcoin will not affect the collapse.

Have you read the recent news? yuan is now becoming stronger than before and will be a potential threat for USD and could take over its place. china is now growing significantly and if they are keeping this up or even getting better and better there's a chance that USD will become no more king of all currencies but yuan will do. US government may thinking about it but it's just the matter about the time until it's proven who deserve to be king of currencies in the future

I also believe that one day the US will not be the most powerful country in the world because it is not producing anything and just outsourcing everything. Also, their laws are really difficult for companies to do business in. Especially their tax laws. So a lot of big corporations like Apple moved its headquarters away from the US because they can get better tax treatment elsewhere. In effect the US is losing income. Most of the time, money equates to power and if without money the US may fall. The world's powers will shift one day to another country. The fall of the USA is the fall of the USD.

No, the yuan is getting weaker.  It closed (last I looked) at almost exactly Y7:US$1.

EDIT: Here's an article from TODAY at Zero Hedge, noting the very weak Yuan:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-15/china-devalues-yuan-weakest-fix-may-2008

No, Apple's HQ is still in California.  Most of their production (of iPhones anyway) is in China.

The US$ lately has been very strong, the "US Dollar Index" closed today over 103, higher than it's been in over two years:

Would be a real disaster for the bitcoin, it would mean that the dollar collapsed but also the Bitcoin will collapse due to that because its still indeed the fact that its relying on the dollar ratings right now.
Sorry friend, I do not think so becouse bitcoin strenght is depend on the people opinion and user who still wanna use it. As long as people use bitcoin, it will not die or collapse. Thats my oppinion.

It would be bad for the bitcoin and it could even destroy the bitcoin because the bitcoin is depending on the dollar right now.
It's not depending on dollar but it could make a big impact to the economy of bitcoin in a positive or a negative way. The positive way is that, people will store their money in bitcoin so it can grow it's value, or people will do panic selling since they need the money.

We have witnessed over the years that despite the continuing crises that the USA has faced, its currency has remained the most important and influential in the world.

Yes, we all know the disadvantages and weaknesses of the current economic system, but I can't see any scenario in the next 50 years that will disrupt the hegemony of the dollar.

We will not see such scenario. USA and other players in the world politics scene would never allow something like this to happen, although some of their rivals would be very happy because of this. We all know that not every country in the world are of equal status. And to many other econimies in the world are also depending on the US dollar. But at the moment I don't see any real danger that dollar chrashes.

Yeah, indeed all countries have different customs and regulations. So that it can make the activity or habits. The U.S. economy has a very good level and I think the U.S. will not make all the country that depends on its currency being bankrupt because u.s. internal problems. So these are the things that will never happen and all the things that exist in the U.S. will only make everything be good. If indeed USD Crashes then we can still be meminimalisirnya by using bitcoin

Well.  Imho you'd better have your hidden bookshelf prepper closet full 😀

If usd goes "depression soft" not even sure btc price would not do the same.

(Not enough adoption yet imho)

I was thinking about this, what if the US Dollar crashes like speculated by many renowned economists around the world?
What will be it's affects on the beloved currency, BTC?

What recent news do you speak about? Could you please post here a price chart for the yuan vs the dollar if it is really becoming stronger? As far as familiar with this question, the central bank of China has been devaluing the yuan for at least two years in a row. Because their economy is slowing down, we could expect the authorities to continue this process of devaluation to support their exporters and give a boost to their economy.

I don't think that it will happen because USD is the unit of about every currency at international level that making the USD more powerful . So usually daily increase in the value of btc instead of Down .

It can happen because US now is on a big debt to many countries and private institutions. And if this happens, then the world government will find a way to have another currency that can be reliable for the world economy. I am thinking about Chinese Yuan will replace the position of US government, no doubt China has good economy.
The US may be in debt, but that doesn't mean they're close to collapsing. They're being pushed towards collapsing because the US has served its purpose for those who own the politicians, banks, etc., and the US is losing a majority of the value it used to have.

It will likely continue for a long time, but it is definitely being tested. Hillary would have ensured that the US would have devolved into a less-productive country (note a lot of the survey after the election), but Trump presents a wildcard. We have yet to see what happens.
yes it will continue for a long time. but USD is in its full flash and is the king of all currencies, and there is not such big issue related to USD therefore there are very less chances that USD will crash,
