The question is who exactly will be covering the cost of the advertisement? collectively making a fund raise for the ad, or some company paying for it?
Rather than advertising for bitcoin itself, a bitcoin company, advertising itself and bitcoin indirectly seems more reasonable.

I dont know, maybe the Bitcoin Foundation can pay for it? They should have a small fortune in member donations, before bitcoin went to the moon. Shouldnt be that hard to land a commercial every now and again, or maybe more sponsorships like the Bitcoin Bowl thing (fiery fucking failure, LOL, i think the BitcoinBowl may have actually hurt bitcoin a bit Wink

im not mad though. bitcoin, even at this price, is still bleeding edge, esp some of the 10 ten traded alts that are sub 300 (I wont name names). as long as people dont know about it, the price wont skyrocket, and I can keep hording until im money bags style rich. its on my bucket list Smiley

so, actually, shh.

I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Its fine and creative idea i guess , never seen btc ad on tv but of course it will cost much since television ad is running on everyday basis , i think only big company or investor would advertise such kind of cryptocurrency on television and it will attract more people ofc

If this would happen then my question is who is going to pay for the advertisement on the TV?. I don't think so its a cool idea to advertise it on TV, by social media it is already attracting huge audience and hope so it will continue to attract more.

If we advertise bitcoin, more people will know about it. At first, they would be uninterested, but later on, people would follow other people knowing that they would make profit from it. Day by day, it will be known worldwide through advertising, noting that advertising can be done through media or through people. Everything would be changed. And yes, you can do whatever you want through advertising.

That's very good. Media such as TV is very important is the most common tool used by companies to direct persuasive communication to target buyers and the public. Advertising is basically part of modern industrial life. The life of the modern world today is highly dependent on advertising. Without advertising, bitcoin will not be able to sell its products, while on the other hand buyers will not have adequate information about the available bitcoins. Therefore the use of advertising media on tv is very important for the popularity of bitcoin

If the purpose of tv advertising is just to make bitcoins more known, i think it would not be a good idea. Yes, tv ads are very expensive and no one would pay for its cost because nobody would really get benefits from this investment or if there are any, like the exchange sites, i think the cost is a whole lot more than what they will benefit. T.V advertisement is good if  bitcoin is a brand. But since it is a sort of currency, i guess it is not necessary. I've seen a lot of videos on youtube tho that talks about certain coins and they are being sponsored by the companies who are releasing the coins. And many bitcoin videos are being post w/o sponsorship so if the ad is to let more people know about bitcoin, i think it'snot necessary to go as big as television ad.

And who will do so? Since there is no central authority managing bitcoins, I doubt anyone will be willing to do the advertisement with their own money. The money you'll be putting into the advertisements can be utilized in buying bitcoins so why go the other way?
The possibility is the exchange site because those who can get profit from the increasing number of bitcoin user is exchange site. but seeing the huge cost of advertising on television, I think it is unlikely exchange site want to advertise on television.

I think there is nothing wrong to create a BTC Bitcoin ad on TV, the problem may be different market share.
Because there are still many who do not understand about BTC bitcoin, so better just give information about BTC Bitcoin on TV.
But we know the cost of impressions on TV is very expensive, can it match the acquisition?

T.V is a great media by which bitcoin can reach more people. But since bitcoin is a decentralized currency and there is no central authority to control bitcoins, there is no such advertisements to promote bitcoins.Earlier people like Roger ver advertised bitcoins, but he used it only for his own benefits.

I think this will increase recognition and, accordingly, the development of the currency

YES, I agree with you! It will really increase the recognition of people about bitcoin. Aside from Facebook and any other social medias that exist, tv/ advertisements are most influential thing today. When the most famous celebrity will made the advertisement for sure it be the new trending. It will convince a lot of people in the not only in the country where the celebrity lives but also to the whole word. After that TV advertisement it will be uploaded to the internet and will earn millions of views.

In my opinion, If we advertise Bitcoin on Television people will be aware of this new trend cryptocurrency and they will get some information about bitcoin, People will knew that bitcoin is legit and it is not a scam that some people think about and even an ordinary people or not a computer literate person could understood on what, how and where can bitcoin be used.

For me, Advertising Bitcoin on national television will be a good idea, to spread the knowledge about bitcoin in the market.

If bitcoin were to be advertised, I think it would entice more people to use it especially upon knowing that it is a convenient currency to use. Introducing bitcoin to the public would lead to more users, hopefully. Perhaps different businesses, not online those that are online, would start adopting and accepting this currency if it were to become more popular. There would then be more demand for the coin. This would also reassure other skeptical users of its "legitimacy".
I think it’s a great idea it will support bitcoin a lot people will get aware of bitcoin and the price will go up and the countries will legalize it too . now many people are investing in bitcoin but the a large number don’t knows about it . so I think it’s a good idea

I think advertising bitcoin on television is necessary.Bitcoin can be known and can be uae my many. Many people will make their money and time productive.Bitcoin can be useful by all the people productively.
When it will be advertise it will make a great impact in bitcoin. It may help bitcoin to be known in all country, it will make bitcoin more popular and it can reaches many people obviously. But the bad thing about it , bitcoin is not longed anonymous, government will take place and i think they will put taxes and they will prohibits many people.
yes that is right that advertisement will have great impact on it but i think it may be a little expensive. i think if we introduce bitcoin through social media because majority of educated people are using facebook and tweeter. i am sure through this way we can explain bitcoin more efficiently.

Yes that's right, everything and everyone are using social media. Almost of these people spending more time using their social media accounts. This is an effective way to reach people. We can make video clips containing our platform, and how can we educate them about bitcoin. I saw many of these nowadays and  there's a flood comment everywhere saying that they are interested about this.
So maybe we can do that too.

I don't think it needs an advertisement on television as we all know, it requires a budget. And I don't think advertisements will make bitcoin develop, more like, it will be popular. And I think if bitcoin reach the interest of the media, they will be giving newsnto it, it might be featured on one of the famous tv shows. It was even seen on The Simpsons and The family guy colab.

Not necessarily it requires a budget. If a news interesting enough you don't have to pay for it to be broadcasted. Like you said it yourself, bitcoin was already mentioned on famous TV shows. But we do need advertisement for Bitcoin to become more popular.

For me, I think it is not easy to understand the bitcoin. Coz it is so much more complicated than fiat money or with real money. Also, we all know that advertisements are really short and I don't think that a short amount of time can be enough in terms of explaining what bitcoins really are and how they work. And let's face it, advertising on tv, if done on a massive will not much effect because most of all the countries have yet to approve bitcoin.
