What is a big difference between ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and IEO (Initial Exchange Offering)? Huh
The big difference is ICOs were promoted by some random people on the internet who may not aware much abiut the project but IEOs were promoted by big centralized exchange which may give some positive thought about the project among investors.

While this may be a filter that better separates scams from non-scams, due diligence is needed with all new projects. The exchanges themselves generally don't have stellar reputations. Investors should be highly skeptical of all new projects.

The IEO and ICO both are the process of fundraising for a project. The proposal of ICO is presented by some team member and some some crypto promoter  form some social media. So there is a very big chance that a ico got scam cause there  is no one which can assure that a ico is not a scam. But for ieo the the exchange has a great roll in fundraising. The idea of exchange fundraising is great cause there is a good medium for verify the project. If binance launched a project that means binance verified the project. So there is a very low chance of being scammed or something. But no a day's small and medium or even exchange which is not exist trying to make IEO and may some of them came with scammers. So be careful.

initial coin offering which is usually called ICO is more of the generally unregulated means of sourcing for funds and without credible means and process but IEO is Initial exchange offering. now, exchanges are legally operated and have some sort of regulations and have obligations to fulfil and can be noted as a company so it is entirely different.

ICO collects fundraising from the website and team platform, but the IEO collects fundraising on the exchange.

so, ICO registers the coin after the token sale is complete, and the IEO registers first in the exchange. then the sale of tokens is done on the exchange.

IEOs were created owing to the rate of scam ICOs. So the difference between them is that, there will be no scams owing the following reasons. First, the exchange will carry out a good research to know about the team. Secondly, the exchange will also try to analyse the team to know if they are capable. This is in order to protect their users or members while gaining more.

What is a big difference between ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and IEO (Initial Exchange Offering)? Huh
Yes, it is true that ICO is currently in a very difficult time with a crisis of trust from all investors or everyone, so trust will be very difficult to rebuild in a very short time, hopefully all can choose which is good by doing analysis but sometimes analysis will be very useless when data can be easily manipulated.
The IEO is a very good solution for me personally because the IEO can be managed by very well-known exchanges such as Binance to anticipate fraud so the best exchange will explain everything with the funds they have collected for the IEO, I hope this is a solution to reduce fraud.

IEO and ICO are two different things entirely one is mainly  doing it's sales on an exchange while ico is doing it's sales on their site,  both are just way of getting quick money from investors

The big difference is the reduction or elimination of scam. That is, everyone in the crypto sphere knows how most ICOs scams their investors, but same won't likely be said about IEOs as before the kick off, due diligence must have been done to ensure investors within that exchange are protected.

IEO stands for Initial Exchange Offering while ICO stands for Initial Coin Offering. IEOs are managed by a chosen exchange but before the exchange accepts, a good investigation will be done on the team to know who they are and if their intention is clear. So the idea is, with IEO scams are meant to reduce which is the big difference between IEO and ICO.

There are many differences between ICO and IEO, the former is selling of coins by the project team and investors waiting for a particular to get the tokens and also waiting for it to be listed to be tradeable ,also it's kyc is handled by the team or hired organ while the latter is more credible and reliable because its done by the exchange which have name to protect so you don't have to worry about security of your documents for kyc ,also you get your tokens bought in your exchange wallet instantly annd it is certain its going to be traded on the same exchange so there is no uncertainty about it being tradeable later or not

First, IEO as the name goes are being managed by an exchange while ICOs are being managed by the team hosting the project. Secondly, there could be little or no scam in IEOs but same can't be said of ICOs. In IEOs the team are verified  unlike in ICOs.

No much difference between IEO and ICO, the only different is ICO always have a fixed time of running but IEO doesn't have any fixed time as all the coin can be bought within seconds on exchange.
True, the IEO and ICO have very different sales levels, I prefer the IEO because it is safer in sales, especially the IEO in Binance's market, it will always sell well. Even sales only take a few seconds.

Biggest different is security of invested initial fund. If you invest on ICO's there is very less chance to get back your capital. But if you invest on IEO then you can expect your fund will not lose totally. Because IEO obviously will listed by exchange and you will able to take out your fund. But problem is if dump after listed on exchange. Some peoples losing fund after buy on exchange. So we should not much greedy about IEO. Especially I am not going to buy after listed if I am unable to buy on IEO.

I think the biggest difference is the scam, Scam is the biggest problem ICO faces but with the IEO it is no longer a big deal.
Best thing to do in here is to keep on searching about those projects. They could form as a scam, we don't know what will truly happen.

The biggest difference in ICO and IEO are:

ICO
  • Initial Coin Offering
  • They are being hosted on their own site.

IEO
  • Initial Exchange Offering
  • Hosted on a exchange platform.

I think that another difference between ICO and IEO is that through IEO you have the ability to become a shareholder of the exchange that is launching the IEO, at least that is mentioned on the IEO of Venethor Coin that will be launched tomorrow on Cryptoplanex Exchange.
They claim that the 50 first investors of the IEO for every 100,000 coins at 2000 sat will get the 1% of Cryptoplanex.

As the ICO's was token sale launched by companies and we can't confirm about trusted ICO's and IEO token sale is launched launched by exchanges that are trusted token sale and most of well know exchanges.

IEOs can also be a scam. Just remember raid on bittrex. This exchange didn't make due diligence and raid resulted to be a scam!
So each ieo can be shady, but risks are lower compared to ICO, because listing process takes less time

the difference between ICO and IEO lies in the level of buyer participation, I see and continue to observe that IEO is the first choice in selling tokens, recently I bought OATH at lbank and MultiVAC in kukoin which only took a few seconds to sell tokens, and also the profit can be very large

The difference is ICO run on their on  platform or website. Usually they are doing crowdfunding from people and investor to get money  for running their project
And for IEO is slightly same with ICO, the difference is they are doing token sale directly on exchange like nowadays.
Just like in Binance, Huobi etc to make fomo, easier for developer to sell their token to get fund.
