In simple words and airdrop is a giving of free coins, sometimes you will need to do something, like stay active on a forum or stuff like that, but keep in mind a true airdrop is always free, when it says that you need to send some coins I my opinion that turns into an ICO
I have been seeing airdrops everywhere, this thread has opened my eyes to gain deeper understanding.
