Forex is more complicated and very risky compare to altcoin trading, It needs a lot of time to study patterns and behavior of the price of currencies and commodities, The price variation also was very small so you will force to risk a huge multiplier so that you can have a chance to earn a decent profit. Unlike altcoin trading, You can have a high chance of gaining huge profit if you are good on predicting since altcoin price was volatile and easy to predict the waves of the trader that currently investing on a certain coin.

I agree! I've been studying how does forex works and upon following some experts signals you need to be alert all the times.

There are times that you need to follow their tips for a couple of minutes or else you will miss the chance of earning.

I will still rely with bitcoin/usd and alt coin trading, the market of this type of trading is very easy to understand.

And there are a lot of coins to choose but you don't have to have them all.

Trading market always risky. You must have good activity the whole trading market and will experiment, make right prediction, otherwise it will become high risk. Skills yourself where a very basic level, there are obvious sources of risk.
Yes, when we are capable of making right predictions, there will be no risk in any trading.

Unfortunately making accurate predictions will not be possible for all the traders unless they are good with their technical analysis. We must learn skills and gain experience before entering into bitcoin trading otherwise it will remain so risky. I guess profit in bitcoin trading is so easy but we should be enough skilled for that.
Yes, comparatively bitcoin trading is easier one. Because I was not successful with my Forex trading but I have made some decent profits from bitcoin trading.

There will be no possibilities of holding position in forex trading whereas bitcoin trading is always get me profits when I am holding my positions. That is the huge difference between bitcoin trading and other types of trading. Bitcoin trading is risky but highly profitable one also.

Bitcoin trading is buy and sell bitcoin ( buy on low price and sell on high price from Buyung) to fiat money
the aim of trading is looking for profit or money on it, trading is high risk because of fast fluctuation of price,
the price is very difficult be predicted and if we are wrong prediction will be losing money because of trading.
Yes, agreed! in accordance  for what you said  you it is true that the only bottom line of bitcoin trading was making profit on it and no more. In addition to that, if your prediction is accurate and precise you could get high profit but if you predict wrong, you will loss everything you have. That's why others use margin trade for them to minimize their loses.

It depends on the type of investing, holding onto bitcoins is classed as an investment but it's not very risky. Trading on sites like bitmex that offer leverages means you can profit from a rise and fall in the price, this is very rewarding but also very risky. You can also trade altcoins but this is also risky. Another option is cfds, if you have knowledge of trading then this will probably be the best option.
If you will focus on the trading regarding on bitcoin you might have a hard at first because in trading there is always a risk. But if you will work hard and focus on the trading you will choose to start on it will not be hard for you to earn on it. Yes, as i have said there is a risk but if you take the risk it is worth it because as of know bitcoin price increase at its highest pick so if you will trade on bitcoin there is more earnings for you to have. So take an signature campaign too so you can have a source of income that you can make as an capital for you to trade.

You are right, even bitcoin is highly fluctuating, comparatively it is less risky for the traders who are ready to hold it for long. Just waiting with your position will definitely get your profits with bitcoin trading.

Only the traders who are doing day trading must be finding bitcoin trading as highly risky one. Because they cannot be sure prices to bounce back within a day but holding bitcoin is always proving as a profitable one hence the risks of bitcoin trading would be eliminated.

I think it's just as risky with the long term holders. Short term holders and long term holders share the same market. The long term holder guy still have to wait for a good price to sell his coins and not just sell whenever he wanted to. I'd say that it's just as risky because the long-term holder might need money urgently and end up selling at the dip. If the short term holder guy is unsure of his decision, he can simply hold his coins a little longer and do nothing at all.

Bitcoin is highly fluctuating but altcoins are even more risky. The volume of altcoins is much lower compared to bitcoins. Therefore, anyone that has a decent amount of bitcoin can be a whale in the altcoin market. The market manipulation and pump-and-dump scheme can be done much easier there and more people can do it.

I do see almost all the commodities are trading similar to bitcoin. Yes, there will be no surprises about the fluctuations of bitcoin markets. But one advantageous thing about bitcoin trading must be, we can be sure about up surge of bitcoin prices in near future all the times.

It means bitcoin will continuously getting appreciating to have huge price levels. I do not seeing bitcoin trading as risky  one compared to any other trading instruments.

Hello folks!

I'm thinking about starting to trade with Bitcoin, but I see people saying that It's risky & almost like gambling.

I think that I mis-understand the meaning of trading.

For me trading Is for EXAMPLE, buying Bitcoin when It's at 550$ and selling It when It's at 670$. This Isn't risky because If Its value doesn't Increase, you'll just have to keep It until It gets higher enough, Is this trading?

I would really appreciate If people clarified more! Thankx Wink
Yes trading bitcoin is too risky you don't know what happen next. If bitcoin can goes up or drop down thats why buying bitcoin in lower price don't buy it if the price is so high. You can lose or you can win that is the impression of bitcoin trading to me.
i do not think that trading is risky because i also earning a good profit from bitcoin trading i mostly buy bitcoin with low price and then sell it with highest price and i do not face a risk.

The problem is not with the people who sell when rises and buys when it's decreasing, but the people who do day trading sometimes may feel that bitcoin trading is risky. But many new are attracted to bitcoin, so beginners will deal tough job with bitcoin trading.
Correct trading bitcoin by just taking advantage of the huge movements in price is very easy and has low risk, but doing day trading is very risky since you will be subject to the massive movements bitcoin can suffer in a matter of hours, movements that other currencies will need months to have.

I don't think that if you are already skilled and well knowledge trader then there will be just a small risk of getting a loss because you already know how to do things properly and you already know how to manage your capital and how to do a right prediction by reading and concluding a news or updates. A skilled trader were mostly creating a decent profit because of his knowledge with a minimal risk involved.

The one basic issue is that the value of bitcoin is not "pinned" to anything obvious.  For example, if you buy Apple stock, that is connected to the well being of the Apple corporation.  With bitcoin, it's not immediately obvious what influences the price of bitcoin, which makes it less possible to figure out what can change prices.

The other issue is that bitcoin is still quite new, and there is still a lot of room for "unknown unknowns" and "growing pains".  We've been trading stocks for hundreds of years, so a lot of the failure modes are well known.  With bitcoin, we don't know what the failure modes are.

I love the term unknown unknowns which basically means we don't even know what we don't know. In a way, the Apple example and bitcoin example can be the same. They both depend on the buy demand. If people are buying the product, then it's a success. Otherwise, it's going to fail eventually. But one huge difference is that there can be someone playing with the bitcoin price. He can be holding thousands of bitcoins and just sell them for no reason. I think that's what he was talking about "it's not immediately obvious what makes the price of bitcoin move."

Good question! I don't think it is really any more risky than Bitcoin itself is.
The only issue is if the price does not go up after you buy it but I don't see that happening with bitcoin. I think it is a simple and easy way to earn a little money. Go for it!

Bitcoin trading is risky because the value of bitcoin is very volatile. Bitcoin's value can rise or drop a large amount in a week or less.  In my opinion short trading of bitcoin is very risky because no can really predict the price of bitcoin tomorrow or next week. But if traded for long term i think it is profitable but won't give you quick profit.
Short term trading is something that requires a high level of knowledge, and it will be difficult to make the right decisions if you do not have much experience. That's why I consider long term holding an option that fits best in my profile.

Everything in this industry has a risk involved,  and bitcoin trading it is a kind of platform were bitcoin and altcoins are in the exchange, for us to have a chance to trade some of the other coins to obtain gaining bitcoin.

Bitcoin was always not on standstill position or almost not all. It can unexpectedly decrease or increase it's price for even a minute which makes it risky. Though the profit with pertains to trading bitcoins was larger than other means the loss was also if you are not successful on your trading strategy would be the same. Unless you understand fully the way the fluctuation of bitcoin prices were it much easier to handle even with risk. But still the risk is still there.

The bitcoin trading such as trade in general, differ only in goods. why risk? all trades are at risk if prices did not rise they will experience the same loss as trade bitcoin and because price of bitcoin fluctuatif will be difficult to determine the right time to buy and sell bitcoin.
The difficulty in buying and selling bitcoin can be ease by reading different articles or news or even the candlestick charts which can give you signals or patterns that may happen during a certain situation. The risk in trading can be also lessen because if you have a lot of knowledge and you are a trader with a lot of patience then risk will be low and the earning possibility will be high. So i think bitcoin trading is not that difficult and too much risky.

Yeah , all types of trade attached with the percentage of the risk .
But still there are some better stretagy to make riskless earning with bitcoin .
Here if you will.make trading with Bitcoin/altcoins then definitely you need more patience to make Profit .
But if you will make bitcoin only day trading then you have profit ( bit small profit than in altcoin) definitely with very very less risk .
So here it is more better to make trading with day bitcoin .
Beside of such types of every trading we should have experience to trade in the wise ways .
