i dont have alot btc, but i never had 0.5 btc when the price at $200-$300. I have been pension 1 year, and now only have about 0.1 btc. Fyi I got It for free.

it doesn't really matter whether or not you can manage to reach the 1btc mark in a reasonable amount of time. what matters is that you are happy with the number of coins that you have. and if you managed to get them for free, then it must feel even better. Wink most important thing is to never force yourself to reach a certain amount. especially if you can't afford it. that's where a lot people go wrong.

Yeah and if you get greedy then there is a full chance that you will end up loosing everything that you have so its better to move on safely and find steady and secure way to earn bitcoins.

Having  the  target on a particular game is always recommended  because you would surely stop if you reach   situation which you are already gaining profit.  Stop on a  particular time and securing profits would  always be a good move but there are really people who are  greedy for more money.

I had around 1 BTC or fractions less than that few months ago, Did invest in some altcoins and lost a big portion of it and had around 0.3 btc after the coin fell in price.

If you invested the 1 bitcoin into Ethereum 10 months ago, then use the proceed to invest in Monero, you are rich.
I guess both the ETH and XMR is a good investment now because the price is currently low and we have a good chance to get better profit when the price rises in the near future, with ETH, the trend is very predictable as it does not fall back lower than 0.018 nowadays so the current price is a good buy.
Depends on when you got into it, Before it was a great investment but that might not be the case anymore, can only look at the price to see what's the case.

I only have 0.5 bitcoin, and then I use the money only for trading purposes. Bitcoin and only use a few times to buy phone credits. Hehe Im  not the rich man.

0.5 btc is not too small amount to consider, in fact I believe that its an perfect capital to invest in altcoin trading as you can make descent profits from it if you have invested in a right coin.

For now i never had a big amount i own but maybe soon i'll have that big amount of bitcoin like you guys. And i still hoping for that amount today and all i want is hard work to achieve that. Then if that will happen i will the things i want  Smiley

I hope that you can achieve your goal to have higher amount in your wallet in future but make sure that you don't go for gambling to have that high amount or else you will end up loosing your existing coins too.

Well i agree Cheesy If you want to gamble be sure that you dont send your all money on the site for the safety just used small amount of your money then if you are win or make it double or triple then its a good news but if you loose dont ever ever invest again it could cost you a lot of that.

But why to invest even a small amount on gambling even when you are aware that you will loose in it, its better to save that bitcoin for future without using them in gambling.

I have own more than 3 BTC as my maximum but for the moment have only about 0.25 btc in my hardware wallet. All others I have invested in different places.
You bought a hardware wallet just to store that low amount? You don't think that software solutions which enable you to safely store BTC are good enough?

Poloniex is the most trusted site at a moment for trading altcoins, but we need to be very careful as we never know when it will run away, so its better to withdraw profits regularly.
And before that Mt Gox was the biggest cryptocurrency exchange and later Bitfinex  - and they both failed. Without proper safeguard no exchange is 100% safe.
That is why we need some kind of cryptocurrency service regulation.

I don't remember exactly but i think it was like 1btc+ onetime when i have bought it with fiat from exchange platform but quickly sold it for profit to local guy.

I hope that you have made enough profits from it by selling them at the right time, I never bought but since I am working on signature campaign since last 1.5 years I have earned enough bitcoins.
to be honest i have tried doing that too though i have never managed to get anything big out of it
I've bought some bitcoin might be up to 3 BTC, and I never get or collect bitcoin with my own business and it never reaches 5 BTC, of course with a variety of methods that I did. I need at least 3 months to get about 5 BTC
I ever bought and ever produces bitcoin

I have 3 btc in my paper wallet and 2 btc invested on Poloniex site for trading altcoins, so I will never use those 3 btc and keep on playing with 2 btc to make regular profits in trading.
Sounds a wise strategy, and you are at the best exchange place alteast for me i do like poloniex, as soon as possible i do wanna to invest my small portfolio into there soo i can trade some altcoins.

First of all, never leave your coins in any exchanges no matter how good and trusted that site is. Mt.Gox plus Cryptsy gave us a clear idea why it's never recommended to leave our coins in exchanges, finish the trades and withdraw immediately after that.

I think that the maximum amount of Bitcoin I've ever held at one point was something like 0.5BTC spread out through a few wallets. Beyond that, though, I don't think I have ever held more than 0.5. I've done a lot of exchanging and spending in my time here, and I have moved a lot of Bitcoin back and forth through exchanges.
