In 2013, I had around BTC60 in all of my wallets. But then I lost around two-thirds of them in the LitecoinGlobal scam. In 2014, I went through a rough patch, and had to sell around BTC23 to take care of the expenses. Later in 2015 and 2016, I got some coins from various signature campaigns and other sources, and my current holdings are worth between BTC5 and BTC10.

What a pity. I was also scammed by ppl, but I was scammed by an altcoin dev, he ripped us off so he could dump his scam at high price. I invested 60 btc there, but after dumped that shit i had only 5 btc. It was dumped -95% in a few hours.

I am not sure whether investments in altcoins can be considered as scams. Had you profited out of your investment, then you won't be complaining. I agree that most of the altcoins are of the pump-and-dump type. You need to dump them at the right time. Personally, I have made investments in altcoins. Some of them were profitable, and some were not. LTC gave me profit, while TRC and Quark disappointed me.

We cannot expect to make profits every time with altcoins, as there are many shit coins available which can disappear quickly, so we need to be very careful before investing in it.

You are right , there are many altcoins  as  of today and some  do launched  in every 2 weeks or even a month. Its quite risky to invest  especially on ICOs because of some  circumstances which devs ran off the money that they accumulate.  I do also being scammed with altcoin which i  purchased about 1btc and  suddenly dump for   hours and  i alsmot lost 70% of my investment, luckily ive decided  to sell while  its going down.
we must be carefull if we want to make investment in new altcoin, it is gonna be so risky. we have to know first about the developer is. we have to know about developer credibilty, is he trusted or not?. anyway my max amount of btc is make me can't join any altcoin investment.

I tend to see that the average Bitcoin holder has around .2  BTC.

Although it is cool to see the amount of people increase...it does feel good to have 1 whole Bitcoin.

People believes that they can double their coins with altcoin in quick time, but they forget the fact that it may take away all your investments even in a single day if you choose wrong coin.

And thats reality  nowadays which  you could  eventually lose all of your coins  when you intend to  purchase or buy a coin . Investments do have risk and  lossing  partial on your  investments is a normal thing  but it shoudlnt be  tolerated. We  must  maximize all of our  money on   doing investments so that  we would  earn profits  on long term.

Investments are risky but with proper research we can minimize those risks to avoid losses, and if you want to invest in altcoins then you can go for it by looking at its volume.

The max amount of Btc once i own is around 0.5 btc , it was someone sent it by mistake to my wallet address. But i bought more than this amount of Bitcoin before
Did you consider sending a small dust payment back to the sending address with a note offering to return the coins or is it just finders keepers.
Not judging you in anyway, just asking
