This hurts Bitcoin overall. When no one takes this currency seriously because its only related to scams, gambling, and drugs.

Definitely.

Mprep is altcoin board moderator and patroller. I don't know how you found his name in gambling board.

He will likely have seen this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10107617

Yes, I saw it. Thanks for information my friends.

Gambling board has no particular moderator. Ponzi threads are categorizing as gambling and they should not be deleted. Mprep is altcoin board moderator and patroller. I don't know how you found his name in gambling board.

He isn't a mod of the gambling section, but he is likely busy moderating other things that are actually against the rules.

I understand forum policy and why ponzis are allowed/advertised but is BTC worth ignoring ethics?

Take some responsibilty. Yes its hard but its the right thing to do.

Unfortunately ponzis are allowed by this forum and no amount of discussion seems to change that.

Even until recently they were openly advertising via the forum. Theymos supports them for some reason

The forum has policy of not moderating scams. The attitude towards ponzis is just a corollary.

Also can ponzis that announce with all letters they are ponzis be considered scams?

He probably supports the advertising dollars, not the ponzis.   Undecided

There is no rule against ponzis. Even if they are obvious scams, they will not be removed.

Mods do not remove Ponzis and such because they're giving you a chance to use your common sense.

Hey

I'm seeing there is a guy named "mprep" in this gambling section. What's his tasks? Right now there are at least 6+ ponzi topics. Why don't anyone delete them? This is getting ridiculous.

I hope he/she will move this topic to the right section.
I saw grue deleting posts related to primedice video through which a person was trying to distribute keyloggers. Don't knwo about mprep.
However its not the job of the moderators to keep the forum clean of ponzis.
People should apply their own brain before investing somewhere.
And this topic needs to be moved to meta.
