The truth still remains that so far the only assurance is the fact that people still see it as an asset and a lot of people all over the globe are beginning to understand what the whole thing is all about and as time goes on when we start seeing real life usage in most parts of the world than just a speculative asset, there may be some high level of assurance, but as for now, I guess we are still being hopeful and living with faith to see how things would turn out eventually.
What kind of assurance we have about anything else? People vouch for it, people with their words, contracts, laws, you name it, turn it upside down and you have people behind everything. We are our assurance, people around the world, more people that are joining, more people that are recognizing the power of bitcoin. Bitcoin will stay for long, forever I doubt, new technologies emerge with high speed, who can say what will happen in 50 years, more or less, what kind of technology will be popular, or that some catastrophe will not destroy everything? Probably nobody can make any guarantees, but for some time we are safe as long as new people arriving.
