At the moment, purely technical Bitcoin is better than any other crypto currency, token or digital asset. In this regard, Bitcoin has a certain influence on all other crypto-currencies.
Bitcoin is more expensive, because it is scarcer, since its quantity is limited to 21 million. Ethereum has more than 92 million coins in circulation

Bitcoin for me is the real deal. Rest all I consider them to be shitcoins, that including ETH. THe value of Etherium had spiked because Initial coin offerings exploded this year. As these ICO' get regulated, the value of ETH should come down.

Means nothing brother. There are irrelevant Altcoins that are way faster than Ethereum.. does not mean they are better.
The slowness is as a result of Bitcoin being an old coin and having too many transactions. Fortunately it is going through massive upgrades soon that would certainly make it way faster and much more improved

Bitcoin users and signature campaign earners will get any project or signature campaign to make some amount with the Ethereum based smart contract projects. Whenever the block and network size increases that time bitcoin confirmed time upgraded and make it faster.
Sure that will faster everytime you get the updation in bitcoin like segwit activation or hard fork.

Did you use a bitcoin segwit wallet or legacy? Also the lightning network is coming to bitcoin so your transaction speed analysis will be moot. What's more important is that bitcoin is a lot more decentralized and mature than ETH and is deflationary.

I just compared the benefits of Bitcoin vs Etherium.
I send ETH and BTC at the same time into an exchange.
In transactions ETH is faster than BTC. ETH only takes 2-5 minutes to complete a transaction. while BTC in my opinion very slow in completing the transaction.
My question What is the advantage of BTC from ETH and why is Bitcoin more expensive than ETH?
Thanks
Though they both have their own usefulness, and judging based on the fact of transaction is not something we should be using to give ETH an edge over BTC. The two are not similar in any way and they both have huge differences.

First, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, while Ethereum on the other hand is a public blockchain platform used in executing decentralized smart contracts with its own cryptocurrency called ether.

Although, Ethereum really exploits the huge blockchain potential, but can it ever overtake bitcoin ? I doubt!
We should not forget the fact that ethereum is an inflationary coin while bitcoin is deflationary

Bitcoin is the original which is why it costs a lot and has a wider reputation. However, it has no real use other than a store of value, so perhaps another coin will overtake it - but not in the near future
I do not quite understand the intent of them will take that position? what do you mean is another coin will take the position of the bitcoin current? or what kind? if like that I think this is a very difficult thing other coins to do as well as BTC and ETH.

In transactions ETH is faster than BTC. ETH only takes 2-5 minutes to complete a transaction. while BTC in my opinion very slow in completing the transaction.
the advantage is that they are so expensive if BTC makes the transaction slower because many people use a large fee so our transaction is not a priority by the miners. vice versa with ETH, currently still relatively fast to make transactions.

I think Bitcoin is better than each and every altcoin  available in market including ethereum as Bitcoin is the first and the master of all cryptocurrencies. It is without any doubt the most popular crypto available in the market and hence is the most widely accepted crypto. Bitcoin is regarded as one of the fastest growing investments available in the market as it is showing good amounts of growth rates. Looking at the current trends, you can easily expect the price of Bitcoin to be above 10,000$ by end of this year for sure.

I think that is not benefit of ethreum or bitcoin. Whatever you compared is just technical faults in the way of their transaction. What I mean by this is, there are facts like bitcoin network difficulty is way higher than ethreum network difficulty and that is why its easier to send the ether as compared to bitcoin itself. Thats not advantage in any sense because what can you do with ethreum ? Just spend it over the blockchain related projects? Oh well you can do that bitcoin too and with very much more profit window as bitcoins price is highest of all. :-) So may be there is not much things to compared between these two and bitcoin will stay high enough always.

Just because it is faster than bitcoin doesn't make Ethereum best of all. There are many factors that define the prices of bitcoin and Ethereum. The most important is how much supply we have got and how much is the demand available in the market. As you can see form the public record there are only 21 million bitcoin in reality and there is no limit for the supply of Ethereum. This is huge defining factor and reason why bitcoin is getting so expensive now a days. Also, bitcoin is valued for its security as well as worthiness of investment. Ethereum is just medium for many projects to launch their platform thats all. That is where bitcoin wins the race all the time.

For me if i am ever going to invest in an alt coin it must be a high profitable one. It’s true ethereum is a great coin with strong background but i don’t expect any dramatic increase in it. So for a stable profit bitcoin is better than every coin.

You have some facts there, this is acknowledged. But factual according to current conditionings, and without context of important developments in both ETH and Bitcoin.

1. Eth transaction is not actually faster than Bitcoin. Confirmation, because of block findting times, is faster. But because Bitcoin is considered harder to attack, even 3 confirmations is considered literally secure. so that is an average of 30 minutes for secure confirmation. ETH if you see on many networks, requires around 10. So average of 25 minutes or more.

You are missing the point of scaling. Every network has the potential to scale more as demand rises. Bitcoin has this problem now because it is so popular and sees so much use. Eth had the problem only during ICOs, because of that demand when investing. When Bitcoin network is full, it just means higher fees. When ETH network is full it breaks and nobody can do anything. Read how this happened many times in 2016 and 2017.

You must make a comparison to get the answer, let's say about the bitcoin has limited supply compared with the ethereum about to determine the supply in the future after the pos casper update. And remember the important reason for the bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency since 2010 and ethereum born in 2014. Bitcoin wins on its adoption because a lot of people around the world were familiar with the bitcoin rather than ethereum.
The key was on the adoption scale.

bitcoin came first than the other cryptocurrency so it is more popular.  Actually ethereum is a block chain that  supports btc, it doesnt compete with btc.  Also they have different purposes. They are set to have different intentions rather than competing with each other

Although Bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies and it demonstrates fantastic growth, the virtual currency of “second” generation, Ethereum, shows really great speeds at transactions.

I hope it will start growing very soon again, as I have several ETH already.

As far as news go, Bitcoins seemingly rising steadily, it has popularity and community is increasing and its gaining more value because of it. They are two different things imo.
Ethereum is not designed to be a currency, but a platform and this allows it to have potential. On the other hand,  Bitcoin is a crypto-currency.
We should not even be comparing these two as they both totally have different purpose. They both have a reason why they coexist and how they are solving totally two different problems. They have their advantages and disadvantages and if we want to keep looking at that, then we may end up not even finding a winner.
However, Bitcoin will always have the first movers advantage whether we like it or not, and it would always have the deflationary advantage that obviously to me sounds much better than the inflationary ethereum. But they are both good in their own areas. Bitcoin is a Lion, Ethereum is a shark ... so maybe it is best we keep it that way.

What you're comparing is the TPS (transaction per second) of these networks. Not really a complete metric to use when someone is deciding which is best. However, it is one factor to consider. Obviously, TPS of bitcoin is much lower than ETH hence ETH is slightly faster to deliver a transaction than bitcoin, and that is already known as public info. When you're analyzing TPS data, it is best to consider how many people using the network.

In some circumstances when ETH network is really busy, you can't even send a transaction. And this has already happened before especially during ICOs. In this case, BTC is considerably faster to broadcast and confirm a transaction. In my opinion, the advantage of bitcoin over ethereum is it is much harder to co-op, protocol development is much decentralise than ETH. No leader, unlike ETH (eg. Vitalik et al). And ethereum is much prone to hardforks. Considering these metrics, Bitcoin is much secure than Ethereum.

In terms of price, probably because:

Bitcoin = code is law
Ethereum = marketed as code is law (before dao incident) but not anymore since they reverted and split.
