The best altcoin is Ethereum if I must say. Ethereum surpassed all expectations and it's really following the steps of Bitcoin. It is a solid blockchain and most tokens is based on Ethereum blockchain.

BNB looks good and promising so it is worth buying, I have also invested around 2 ETH BNB a few days ago and now get a bigger profit than ETH.

for this year, I agree, BNB has become the most profitable asset in investing. a lot of good news, and there is some bad news about their platform but the price of BNB I think is still stable and continues to increase.

For me the best altcoin is ethereum (it it can be called an altcoin). It is the best not because I like it, but because it offers unique technology of smart contracts. Eth has a very big potential. It was priced $1300 and will catch its value. Ethereum also has a big community and a bright smart leader (Vitalik Buterin) who is doing everything not to usurp power. I see ethereum as a really decentralized cryptocurrency.
