For me all coins that provide some tech are good, though I do not hold them all, but respect most solid ones. I am hodling strat, ark, waves, neblio. I would like to add some new coins with their own blockchain, just searching now.
I've seen a lot of cryptocurrencies trying to top off bitcoin with their benefits in investing and having wallets. Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin and many more, but as far as I know these altcoins are doing their very best to dethrone bitcoin, as of now I wanna know about these altcoins more, I wanna know what would be the best cryptocurrency for you, remove bitcoin on the list, what is the best altcoin after bitcoin? Give me your insights about it.
For me based on the market value I would rather say that it is still ethereum that is leading all the altcoins right now. Based from the coinmarketcap.com Ethereum is next to bitcoin which in other words it is the best altcoin in the market right now. 
I think ALQO will be a good option: fast and secure coin and infrastructure, very decentralized, good dev team, quite huge community - Instant TX, privacy - that's a thing to go!

I have some alts that they are not very famous as they deserve to be like: Sysocin- I think this coin deserve more attention, other one is POLL- good project with good team but with low price.
As for me is the best altcoin. I hold him for a long time. I believe in its developers, its technology and that ETH it is the future of the crypto.
I can say that the best alternative currency is the ethereum since most of the coins are tradeable to ethereum. And a lot campaign are paying in ethereum which make the trade and exchange in etherum busy which is good in exchange.

best altcoin? I will answer in terms of profit for myself, the altcoin that gives the most profit to me is Minexcoin, this coin price increase 10x from the initial price.
Obviously ETH or BTC are solid.

in my opinion, the best altcoins are ethereum, because the graphs tend to be normal.
NEO , ether , Cardano , Eos , Nem these are my favourite coins now . I will hold these coins never sell for next few years . Neo is attracting more chinese investors where ethereum already proven , Cardano is secure blockchain , Nem also attracting new projects .
For me Ethereum is the best altcoin. I will go as far as to say that Ethereum might even dethrone Bitcoin in coming years. So many good projects are being built on ETH blockchain; which will bring positive changes for not only the crypto community but also for the people outside of crypto world. Like medical projects, decentralized wiki, AI research etc. So yes, "East or West, ETH is the best""!!
I agree with you. I hold the ETH for a long time and believe in its development. Hold until 2020. 
I think altcoin is nothing more than an alternative, bitcoin remains number one. altcoin is born from bitcoin..About the number of Ico emerging I think it is indeed the progress of blockchain technology developed by bitcoin. 
The best alt-coin for me would be Ethereum and I am looking forward to some POS token,

In my opinion, NEO, because NEO is very popular in Asia, and NEO is top10，NEO is a strong competitor to ETH, and with more and more ICO projects based on NEO, NEO is likely to surpass ETH.
One of the best Altcoin to invest right now is maybe WAVES. It haves huge potential like thereum, and maybe it can overtake ethereum someday. And i also trust in all the privacy coins like deeponion, spectrecoin, verge and enigma. Those coins are all totally anonymous. You can even use them in Countrys where gouverment banned cryptocurrencies. In 2018 more country will ban them or regulate, so with those anonymous coins you can bypass this censorship!

Ethereum. No doubt it has its own plethora of issues, I still feel it's the best option with the widest application. Not to mention possessing perhaps the most potential in the near future.
There are more altcoins now.This year's more altcoins will be better.For me, Ethereum, litecoin, WAVES, MONERO, Neo are all that good investment.My best first choice Ethereum.
Hi there. Is there really a need for us to compare and make these platforms compete with each other? Aren't they suppose to co-exist with each other to provide us a much better option for our investment and payment platforms? While I appreciate, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Dash and others, I personally believe they were not created to disrupt Bitcoin. They are there to strengthen the advantage of cryptocurrencies against the traditional fiat.
i believe in walton coin but i may be too late. but whatever im still working and investing.
