Btc wallets are in plenty and they they are selected for best wallet in many sectors.
If you want to use lower transection fees then Electrum wallet will be the best Btc wallet for you.

Again if you choose btc wallet for security reasons then the wallet will be changed and it will be an Hardware wallet like Ledger Nano.

So to judge a btc wallet to rank as the best we have to research deeply.

There are many wallets to stay BTC safe but the simplest wallet may be a hardware wallet there's no fear of being scammed Also if others use a wallet aside from a hardware wallet nobody can hack the wallet keys if they will keep them safe. So I feel it's better to stay the private keys offline to stay your BTC safe regardless of which wallet we use The hacker won't get any information and can not be ready to hack.

Ledger wallets are recommended but there are also good and secured desktop wallet like Exodus, Electrum and Jaxx, as long as you own the private keys on the wallets you are using and you know how to secured these private keys, you are ok, education is the key on how to protect your Bitcoin.

If you understand Bitcoin, you will like wallet "Unstoppable". (www.unstoppable.money)

It is non-custodial: Only you know private key (seed phrase), only you can control your funds.
It is open-source: Source code is public on github, anyone can check it to make sure there is no leaking of private keys (https://github.com/horizontalsystems/).
It works directly with decentralized Bitcoin network nodes, no dependency on any server, no server to fail or leak your data.

Unstoppable wallet utilizes all potential of Bitcoin, without any sacrifice. Team behind it is motivated to increase Bitcoin adoption by making great wallet to use it.

Hi everyone,
as any one here i want to know what is the best wallet to secure my btc in?
I checked many sites trying to know which wallet is the best , but i can't decide which to use , specially when i found many types of wallets, so if any one of you has a previous experience so tell me, should i use a web wallet or a hardware wallet, and name one for me please.
thanks a lot.

First, you should avoid web wallets because of many security problems. To stay safer, better to use hardware or desktop wallets. But keep in mind hardware wallets are quite expensive and are thought for long term storage. If you can't afford to buy a hardware wallet or you don't need to store BTC for a long period of time, then avoid hardware wallets and go for a desktop one. In my opinion the best desktop wallet out there is still Electrum, although it has its problems too...
You can ask questions about Electrum is its own board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0

The most popular Bitcoin wallet today, Blockchain.info  allows you to send  receive Bitcoins through your browser or mobile phone. This is what’s known as a hybrid wallet – meaning the company stores your wallet online but they do not have access to your private keys. However since the wallet is loaded from their servers some trust in the company is still needed. Recommended for beginners who are trying out Bitcoin.

I like to use electrum wallet because it has a clean GUI and a no-nonsense feel about it. I've been using this wallet for a few years now and I'm happy with it.

Is myetherwallet.com any good? Sorry still newbie in this part.

Yes MyEtherWallet is good but it doesn’t hold btc.  MEW holds ether and other erc20 tokens.  I use electrum as my btc desktop wallet, and Coinbase/GDAX as my exchange wallet.  Eventually I will get a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, but they are normally not in stock on the manufacture’s websites.

check the links that were given to you so far, and remember that you don't have to choose one right away. you can for example install multiple wallets (you can do it on a virtual machine if you don't want to install them on your main OS) and try them out. see how they work, see if they are user friendly and satisfy your needs. no funds are required in this step.
then you can send a small amount to the one you finally choose, try receiving/sending with that wallet and learn.
finally when you are confident enough, send a larger amount that you want to store in that wallet to it.

Since you're specifically looking for a hardware wallet, try Ledger Nano, it’s as secure and private a bitcoin wallet as you can get. Another option is the Tenor; it might lack some of the modern features of the Ledger Nano, but it’s still much more secure than almost any other wallet out there.
Otherwise, I'd suggest a paper wallet for a more inconspicuous way to store your BTC.

Hope this helps  Smiley

I suggest you to read this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-bitcoin-wallets-which-what-why-1631151. There you have enough information about wallets to write a book.

Or, just choose the type of wallet you need:

  • Online wallets.
  • Software wallets.
  • Hardware wallets.
  • Paper wallets.

Each has it's advantages and disadvantages, being Online the easiest, although in most websites you don't have actual control over your private key. Hardware wallets are the most expensive but worthy if you hold a decent amount of Bitcoin.

Many people also use a mixture between Software wallets and Paper wallets (keep the papers in safe places).

Using common sense, good judgement and having some understanding on how the wallets & credentials work you should not have issues regardless of your wallet choice.

The important things to consider when choosing a wallet are security, simple access, the type of platform supported and its user interface.
