I'm kinda agree with you though taking an advise from experts or friends will help you to choose a right coin but the final decision still lies on you because it is your responsibility to make a proper research before investing on a new coin and if things go sideways then there is no one to blame but yourself because you didn't ask someone to buy the coin for you.

Bitcoin is still good to buy as it was showing a signs for bullish run though adding other cryptocurrency on your portfolio is not a bad choice either because there is possibility that their price will go up too in the future.

Guys, these kind of coins are really may be subject to pump and dump. So you may just play a lottery instead of investing. To find a real coin to buy you should find combination of several factors: Marketing policy, Roadmap of the project, Community support, Team reality and Responsiveness. Just after analyzing these charachteristic you may find really perspective coin for the future. Today it is not an easy situation, a lot of projects just don`t response to inquiries and presents just a few of real information...

first is BTC because it is the king then you can try to buy some ALT top 50 CMC because the movements are averaged following the price of BTC but it is rather difficult to get profits in the short term and usually they are effective for the long term.
if you intend to look for profit in the short term you can play with ICO or IEO coins of course with greater risk but can get instant profits.

Waves coins is slow moving type, and I bet to choose xrp because it's active on trading exchanges even though it's now at 0.27$. However as per reviews and based on how the demand goes, potentially it will go up until 0.5$ good as doubled to its current value.

If you're talking about what the Best coin to invest in, Bitcoin is still king and next safest and most chance to give you profit is ETH. Though we should not count the top 10 coins in the market right now, XRP is growing crazy and other coins are joining in the ride. There are upcoming projects that has a good potential to be used worldwide due to it's good use case. An example would be companies that are taking advantage of how big they are and are charging crazy fees, a Telecom company running on blockchain is aiming to solve that problem.

Another avenue you can look into are coins doing their IEO or ICO's. But be careful and make sure you check trusted sites if they're legit or not. Even though we're way past 2017 where there were a lot of scams that happened, we should all still be cautious and use all the resources that we possibly could.

no, I don't think it should be. enough bitcoin and ethereum alone is enough to be the best investment plan. too many coins in your portfolio will only make you busier. You should pay attention to charts, news and all the speculation of each coin you own. and I think it's troublesome. so it's better enough to just 2 or 3 coins in your long-term portfolio.
