Think the concensus here is Blockchain.info and I'd have to agree. Quick to setup and easy to use, just make sure not to keep too much btc in your wallet.

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
Yes,I agree with you guys.Blockchain is the best online wallet. But if you want more security and control on your bitcoin wallet, download a standalone wallet on your desktop.(don`t forget to back it up)

I usually use blockchain to convert my bitcoin into my local currency.
I've done with it over a year without any problem although sometimes I'm afraid to hold bitcoin for a long time because I've heard about hacked / stolen bitcoin on the blockchain site

coinbase or blockchain

don't go over to a 3rd party

who knows what could happen, these are trustworthy

but don't keep your coins there too long

there was a trustworthy wallet too somethingsomething.io it was called

everyone lost their coins..

don't make their mistake..

Blockchain is trustworthy, because you don't have to trust them.

When making a wallet there, you stay in control of your coins, and you can even download a file which let's you import your private key to an offline wallet in case the website fails.

I doubt a newbie would download the private keys

if the site goes down you lose the coins?

Why wouldn't he?

If someone is not ready to do some simple steps to protect his coins, then the Fiat system might be a better and safer place for him.

I would suggest the blockchain.info wallet, with a strong password not used before and 2FA enabled. Smiley
As others mentioned, the good thing about blockchain.info wallet is that you are the only one having access to your private keys.

most of these wallets are really that great unless its a light weight wallet.

eg: multibit - light weight wallet that doesnt download the whole network etc. (faster acceptance)

Yes, if you haven't import you private key. But that's very unlikely considering Blockchain is one the top bitcoin biz and also active helping on Bitcoin growth

Agreed, their Android wallet is working well too. I've been using it for my daily transaction and never had a serious problem.

I really wish someone would make a good bitcoin wallet for Windows phones. Sad

I like Coinbase or Blockchain, I'm thinking of shuffling over my coinbase coins to Blockchain anyways. It looks like an online wallet, but acts like a wallet you'd have on your desktop.

Now, if coinbase had interest on the BTC that'd be a different story... But I'll shuffle my coins away from Coinbase and onto electrum or Blockchain...

I know this is somewhat irrelevant to your post, however, there's been times when Coinbase has failed to help a customer if their accounts was hacked, or even freeze their balance.

You're making absolutely no sense. Please stay at whatever rank you're at, and craft something that isn't so LQ.
