The biggest mistake i experience is to invest alt-coin without proper investigation or research during pumping, hoping for more pump, instead the coin dumped, and i lost total money i used to invest on that particular coin.

Emotional issues  Grin, either when holding for long term, investing in new projects and also crypto trading, I'm always hooked to my emotional feelings, still hard for me to control 100%, now I only have to zero my mind when making a decision, may God have mercy on me  Grin Grin

My time when I was new in cryptocurrency, my biggest issue are the technicalities and hardship during the creation of wallet, transfer and even buying and selling crypto like bitcoin or altcoins. I had some failing transactions for not checking it right and loses some money or crypto during the process. However, I learn in my mistakes so for the newbies out there, it is good to transfer funds, buying or selling when you aren't sure of everything to test out small amount of funds during the transfer.

I believe all it takes is a bit of research and everything is available on the internet. If not, such things were asked here and we tried our best since we've been here to help beginners catch up everything quickly because we love to share. And TBH, even I was a beginner once and I don't come from a technical field, still never found it hard to at least create a new wallet and transfer my coins. Trading crypto was my left hand game.  Grin

A beginner always goes behind money but does not want to learn by giving enough time to such space, so there can't be any issues to beginners but with beginners themselves. Beginners don't watch out to learn about this crypto space, then they get scammed and then, they simply cry it out loud here. There are basic things about technicals available online which can be searched and read, but beginners won't find it because they won't search. The worst part is, they're made to daydream about crypto to be a life-changing experience for them in the near future but nobody awares them of the risks associated.

So far two issues:
1. Search function on this forum sucks
2. Can't find yet any trusted member to sell few coins

My biggest earning so far is knowledge in bitcoin and cryptography

Issue newbies or beginners are:

first Don't know where to start, as newbies you are overwhelmed by the information given by people
Scammed since you are newbies you don't know if it's legit or not, and you become one of the victims.
No strategy when investing, due to FOMO newbies don't spend their funds intelligently they just go with the flow

all of this I experience when I started as newbies

The biggest issue and problem that a beginner encounters on this platform is signing up without necessary or proper guidance of what the platform is all about and how to abide by the rules and regulations the bind the forum. And not even the basic knowledge of what crypto currencies is all about.

I have been directed so many time to this forum by google when I was searching info related to bitcoin until one day I saw a post asking people to do a review in order to earn. I think tokentops and that was how I joined the forum. My first challenge was having to login my account every time with that frustrating captcha but later I discovered I can permanently login. I also had issue doing multitask job even though then scam were not that rampant. I was also face with challenge of having to post an image on the platform without resulting in that proxy error display. Finally, reading pm message was also a challenge because then I didn't know how to check and reply inbox

In my humble opinion I would say you need to learn the basics, because I experienced similar issues, but not with trading but understanding how the forum works. I think this board helps us newbies to participate rightly and unfolds a lot about crypto currency and bitcion.

The biggest issue for beginners on this forum is overwhelming amount of useful information. It's hard to decide where to start and where to look because it's impossible to read everything. I think that is the main reason why some questions are often repeated. There should be some organization and easier searching of the forum.

that is a general issue with forums
Most of us come here in the forum without knowing everything on crypto, There are many newbies that started here cluelessly and I know this forum helps them a lot to get the information they need. If you are a newbie it's better to explore some parts of the forum especially this board because this board consists of newbie questions and I'm sure that upon exploring there is something that you will decide to learn first and that is how your curiosity and knowledge will build up. It's true that there are many questions that is repeated over and over, But there are cases that the topic is the same but their scenarios are unique.

Most of them don't know how to buy BTC and if they figure out, the source of information is from social media which they could likely be scammed. Some of them buy an altcoin instead believing the promise of someone who was also influenced by a friend of a friend on social media like facebook.  Facebook had always been their source of information because its the only place they go like its the only website. Just one of the issue.

Wrong understanding about cryptocurrencies is the biggest mistake by most of the beginners in Crypto space, they enters and buy bitcoin but looks to make profits from the next day then wants to become a millionaire in a year or two. No investment gives assured returns and crypto is not really an investment scheme.

My biggest issue so far has been knowing when to buy. I've been studying hard for about 1-2 months learning all I could from posts on this forum and suggested reading / video material so with a few questions I understood it quite well quite quickly. Knowing how to read the Bitcoin market I find difficult.

I know I have to invest, but I'm still looking for that tell tale sign that its the right time. I have Binance BTCGBP running all day on my second monitor watching and waiting for "that time". I know we're still in a bull run at the moment, but the waiting is tough. I've now got sub 12k in mind as my starting point but I've not seen that since the beginning of November, but before that I had sub 10k in mind but then it kept going up lol. I hear and read everyone saying that we're heading for a correction so I find it hard to make that purchase until we get that, but I try to keep in mind that we may not get a correction. This might be the new norm and it might go up.

I'm not worried about losing what I want to put in, I'm just being cautious because I want to do it right and limit my losses based on what I'm hearing and reading. So yeah, that's my biggest issue as a beginner.

First time getting to know cryptocurrencies, I only focused on one problem, which I didn’t really understand. This is the biggest issue for me.
My question at the time  “what is BITCOIN”.
Then I was even more confused with all the other crypto terms. To be honest, it’s a simple question if people have been in the cryptocurrency
world for a long time. But being the hardest thing for a beginner.

Yes I think newbies many times actually do understand that but since it is so complicated they just choose not to get involved.

Most people just give up and I don't believe will pursue as much as I have,

It took me hours of research to finally make my small purchase of bitcoin and even managed to send some to another website.

I was careful to write down the dozen or so numbers and the word phrases and keep them secret as recommended, but I am scared to death now to do any more since I can't figure out which numbers are what!

So even if newbies understand to protect our money, we don't know how.

At least with my bank and credit cards I don't fear sending my money off into oblivion, never to be found.
