The most common cause for poverty is overpopulation and the poor have been having dozens of children and refusing to practise family planning since time immemorial. And the worst part is that they believe that it is the duty of the rich people to feed them and their dozens of children. And in turn, this leads to violent confrontations between the rich and the poor.
The whole reason is in inefficient use of all the country's resources by the government. The government cares only about its financial situation, and the population must struggle with its own poverty.
I think Education problem and growth of population is the common cause of poverty.

I think that the common cause of poverty is laziness. There are many ways to earn money. People nowadays want to earn very quick,they want to get money easily. They don't want to work hard and just love lying on their beds while waiting for somone to feed them.

There's a lot of factors why a country is poor. One of the main reason is the government it self. Lack of resources, or resources are not utilized properly. Corruption is also one of the main reason why a country is poor. Lack of education is an individual factor why a lot of people are poor. Opportunities are less to people who are not able to finish college.
One of the reason for this is unemployment, another one is the lack of education, high and persistent levels of inequality (incomes and assets), which dampen the positive impacts of economic expansion. The local government capacity are weak on implementing poverty reduction programs.

I think the very common and root of poverty is the Lack of Education from the society. Most people don't have any good jobs, and is struggling financially, this is the cause of Low level education. People are too lazy to study and end up being poor.

The most prevalent cause I would say is either the government or the people in power. They dont care about the average citizen just themselves and that is the cause of ruin in most of these second tier countries. They have
fine resources, fine people, and honest people too it is just the top who controls the power will not let the status quo get effected. They do not want their money and power to decrease and as a result the people who end
up suffering are the people on the bottom of the pole. It is sad how some countries operate this way but I remain optimistic that this will not be the way of the future

i believe God make enough sources for every country but if country know what make with them resources we will never find experiencing poverty
I think that laziness is the main problem of human poverty. There are many examples where people even from the poorest countries were able to achieve great heights thanks to hard work.
If it's poverty en masse then it's either due to environmental factors such as say being situated in a desert lacking basic resources, or a corrupt oppressive government controlling everything. I think those are the big ones.
I'd say a lack of education and corruption. A self centered view of the world creates wealth for few and leaves many behind.
I think its also something historicall as many countries have been exploited and have often been left alone to repair the damages themselves which they were not able to handle.
