There is no need to promote use of bitcoin as many people and merchants are already searching for bitcoin and many have started accepting bitcoin in their stores including bigger merchants like steam. Bitcoin is in most of the mainstream media sites + papers so almost every person have heard the name of bitcoin atleast once.
Promoting bitcoin might not give any instant return but in long term it might help you to use your bitcoin in your nearby coffee shop.

If you want to help Bitcoin to grow in terms of acceptance, the easiest way is awareness and advertisement, Share news on your social media accounts or if you have friends try to discuss Bitcoin about it's current price or your country's own Government take on Bitcoin. If you want stores to start accepting Bitcoin you can ask them politely on their current type of payments and ask them again.if they are accepting Bitcoin, if not ask them again, if they will add or consider Bitcoin as addition to their current payment types with that they might consider the idea of Bitcoin as a payment type.
I would agree with this. Sharing it social media like facebook, instagram, twitter and youtube is a good tool to create awareness on social media. Also, a word of month strategy is also good for a person to person way of sharing new ideas. So if you want to educate some store owners in your area, I think it is good to introduce bitcoin to them little by little and how it works.

You know that saying, "Use money to attract money" is applicable here. No matter how you want to look at it, one has to spend to get more people to the awareness of Bitcoin. Like for me, the first time I heard about it was on the radio. I was like what the heck is bitcoin. Then curiosity set in and I went searching on the Internet for more knowledge and that also brought me to this forum. So, I think organizing periodic seminars will help grow awareness for bitcoin.

I also change my social media cover photo. Many peoples are ask the Bitcoin photo. This way is easy to developed in my opinion. My friends also change the cover photo in social media this is more spread in all over the world and many conference are conducting in top MNC companies.

I doubt it will have some effect but maybe it could at least spark some interest for the cashier to search about bitcoin.
It is hard for me to introduce bitcoin tp new acquaintances or strangers.
I am doing mostly talking to those who are close to me, like friends and relatives. I can introduce them to bitcoin or make small talks about bitcoin. I do not shove or force bitcoin to them. If they get interested, I clear some questions for them or explain it more.

It is a good idea, you can wear shirts with bitcoin pictures, you can paint your car with bitcoin images, of course we should not exaggerate

in my whatsapp profile I always put pictures of bitcoin, I talk about bitcoin, is more effective when I buy something and people ask me questions and I say that I paid with bitcoin
