I's quite annoying as I'm following the forum for almost three years now, but didn't register before.
Now I registered only for participate in group buy and have to post 5 useless posts only to be allowed to post where I should

I guess the point of 5 worthless posts is that now everyone is replying to this "5 worthless posts" to talk about it and at the same time accumulating 5 worthless posts.
How long after 5 before you can post? I have over 1 day logged in plus 5 posts and still no access. Just want to post sale request.

I think it is just to remove the bulk of spam accounts entering the rest of the forum.
It's a pretty good system to ensure everyone in the forum has a certain degree of protection.
I think to prevent spam and bots posting on the main forum.
I think it's important to take steps like this to increase the quality of the posts on this forum, even if they aren't perfect.
