I use Brave some time now, and the browser itself is pretty nice because of its well working ad blocking / privacy features and chrome base (being compatible with chrome addon store).

However, I'm just disappointed by BAT, and I'm gonna tell you why.
Back when I started using Brave 2 years ago, the rewards were high and the ads were low.
Today (approx. the last 12 months), it's the other way round. I now get about 2 BAT per month by browsing more than ever and getting more ads than before.
To get that into perspective, at the beginning of my Brave usage there were months where I claimed 30+ BAT and only got a very moderate amount of ads.
The Ad frequency (up to 5x per hour) is unchanged since my first usage.

Other, actually much more concerning things than the ad/reward system about BAT are
1. the "strange" behavior of the wallet.
    - My wallets were wiped to zero 2x, both on Windows and on Android on different occasions. The missing BAT are nowhere to be found until today (no, I do not have auto-contribute or auto-tipping enabled).
    - Claiming often fails and BATs aren't credited, only the claim date gets forwarded one month (yes, I always have the browsers updated to their newest versions).
      Official subreddit admins/devs say the rewards are still added to your wallet later, but I didn't see any of the failed BAT for months now.
    - Up to a certain time you could (and were urged to) see and backup your mnemonic seed for your wallet. It's gone. Instead, you don't have any control over your wallet anymore (for example backing up/restoring on another device),
      but you're forced to connect with Uphold (which I never did. A calm "nope" to that business practice at this point). That's a BIG step in the wrong direction.
2. all of the above problems mentioned on the official reddit either get you insignificantly put off, ignored or banned. I wasn't the only one pointing out these problems over there, so I guess the fault is not on my end.

I'll continue to use the browser, but the BAT-part is just too buggy/unreliable/annoying for my taste.

I don't think you should view it as a potential income stream; the amount you'd earn is very small.

From my personal experience, it seems to be a good browser, but I have everything enabled and I've never seen an ad.

Don't expect from the reward program because it's not much you have to send documents to do KYC so forget about that and hurry how BAT is making money from the trades we do, I think always have a chance when the market is growing or pumping a lot of increases even if it's not that much. but still earning for us with futures trading, if we invest in the long term 2-3 years why not bitcoin which is certain with a higher rise compared to BAT? So BAT tokens can still be earned from trading weekly or monthly instead of holding longer in years.

The prospect of BAT coin in the future looks pretty good, but as far as the ups and downs of BAT coin prices still follow BTC price movements, if you want to invest it is better to choose top coins at this time because the demand is increasing day by day and also the prospects for long-term investment are also good

The value of BAT coin is strongly related to the popularity of the Brave browser, so if it manages to acquire a larger part of the market, we have a good chance to observe an increase in this value. I think it is also important to put more emphasis on developing ad markets in countries that currently allow earning less than 1 BAT per month. This may convince more users to Brave and thus increase the interest in this coin, which may well affect its value ...

Depending on the new updates and the new features on Chromium-based browsers, the value of the Brave browser will increase along with the price of the BAT token. The Brave rewards system will be overkill for all competitors and there is no strong competitor, AFAIK. As long as the demand will be the case for the Brave browser we can expect a nice ROI from BAT investment. Personally, I use the Brave browser but the sad fact is to pass KYC for getting the reward from the Brave reward program. I don't want to send my documents to Uphold and get verified but without getting verified there is no way to spend your earned BAT tokens.

with BAT, I think the holders need to hold for a very long time. BAT is not a technology altcoin or evolving any trend, it just develops the browser and it takes a long time to achieve good results.
so if you are a holder, you should decide to hold it for another 2-3 years, Brave's browser is good, but currently it is not well known. In 2020, with only the defi coin pumped up, BAT will not be able to do much. Of course this is just my personal opinion, hope it can help you.

   I agree with Cepot9, we will see a lot more from Brave in the future. But it's why we need to be patient with Brave, we will not
see a spike in price this year, or maybe next one, but in next 5 years Brave browser can get much closer to Chrome and Firefox. For me
BAT is the long-term investment, I have some and I would like to have more. One of the rare projects in crypto-market with real
product that we can use on daily basis.

it takes time to be able to see the development because all competitors will also make renewable innovations and there will always be very good competition in time. once again it takes time to be able to shift what is already existing and familiar in the hearts of the community, but as a user it is precisely the increase that there will be other alternatives that can be used.

This will be good because they really have a good and competitive product. Of course the Brave browser will continue to be updated and increasingly compete with Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox. Will explode if it is able to shift them in the future.

i didnt know that brave were also involve that issue but im aware that brave has been accused by some other problem  , this is getting more and more  . what else can we expect on the future with them but this can already affect thier users and for new users that are going to try the browser will also get discourage if they found this out.  cant say if thier coin is a pump and dump because im not following its price but the claming reward thing is one of the popular complaints of the people .

The brave browser itself is already popular among so many people although back then there's this bad rumour revolving around regarding brave putting their refferal link when you visit an exchange but their browser is surely gaining fame nowadays. many also have switched from chrome to brave which means the BAT token will have good prospect considering that many people also trying to earn reward by using their browser.
But before doing anything or investing you might need research by yourself because their price  looks kinda pump and dump so yo should consider that. Another matter is that the requirement to claim reward quite complicated lol.

I would agree, I immediately change to Brave when i learned that i could earn, though little, with just browsing the internet without me really knowing it. It's too good to be true imo. Also, sometimes i don't really notice the ads popping up at my right lower screen because it only take up small space of my screen.

Yeah its better than have nothing at all and would be somewhat useful to those countries where $5 a month is already useful but the big question is,
are you willing to give out KYC on cashing out those BAT's? The hell no for most people but im sure that there are ones that do still deal with this set-up.
I've been using brave for a while now and i dont click up those adds that do pop out yet i know that it wont really be that worth of time even on
very simply clicks.

You don't need to use any of your time to browse in earn in brave just normal browsing is needed and the ads will not disturb the way you browse you will just see a notification,Click or not its up to you .

The ads earning is depend on the countries demand there are country that earn more than 5$ a month, I am not a fan of brave but its a good thing to browse and earn something than nothing .

So many reasons not to invest.

BAT is useful, how? I can use Brave without BAT,,, and people who truly do not like to watch ads will just be switching it off anyway, like me. I mean the prospect of earning $5 a month maybe for aggressive surfing and clicking and watching all those ads,,, is it really worth anybody's time?

BAT is my favorite coin of choice for investment, besides its performance is quite good this year. BAT volume is quite high
and has also been listed on several popular exchanges. So it's no wonder BAT token is in the top 50 cryptos, I believe that
BAT's prospects are very good in the future. Moreover, BAT is very useful, unlike most other coins. BAT has a Brave browser
project that is great for browsing. So there is no reason not to invest in BAT tokens.

And from the start, their product which is the browser is still being used by a lot of users. It's also considered as one of the good browsers that we have.
We can say that it's a success on their end but it has changed due to the asking for KYC. Yet, the coin is still good as it is.

Although I don't have a big expectation for the Bat, I hope that the price can increase. If the price can not increase higher, I think it is enough for the price to increase in any high price.
It seems this coin is hard to compete with the other coins or tokens because Bat needs more support if it wants to lift the price.
This year will be a challenging year for every coin or tokens because every coin wants to show its power by raising more support.
We will see which coins or tokens that will be eliminated to the lower position.

But at least BAT have the real function that can be seen by the user or new investor easily. Its browser can make its token has a high price in the future if they can make its browser be used by most people in this world, yeah at least they can compete the google browser.

Other than that, before bitcoin and all altcoin price crash a month later the movement in this coin is really promising. I have several time to gain profit when traded this coin with USDT, it means there will be many people who traded this coin and believe this coin have a good future.
