TrustWallet is a non-custdial wallet in which you will get multi-chain support. And it is a some popular wallet for smartphone wallet. But I don't think it's a completely secure wallet. Although this is a non-custodial wallet, holding a huge amount of funds is high risk. This all can be used for rough use but if you are thinking of long time hold then you are better to using Ledger ,Trezor , Metamusk wallet.
Trust wallet is now very popular as a mobile wallet and Trust wallet has become a very popular wallet especially for small investors and bounty and airdrop hunters. But in my opinion Trust wallet is not a secure wallet.  Ledger , Trezor , Metamusk are always much more secure than trust wallets as you already said. So Trust wallet should be ignored for holding high amount. but holding a small amount trust wallet will be not any big problem

One of the world's hot wallets with the highest level of security is Trust Wallet. It uses bank-level security to keep your private keys secure while protecting online interactions with military-grade encryption. You may access your wallet with FaceID, TouchID, or traditional passwords. A significant plus for Trust Wallet is the fact that it is the official cryptocurrency wallet of Binance. Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, is betting its reputation on the security of Trust Wallet by using it.
I totally agree with this because this wallet is very secure and I have proven it all this time and with the security upgrade given on the trust wallet to one of the favorite wallets and still many features provided by the trust Wallet such as the dapp that exists on the Trust Wallet it gives us ease when want to make transactions on several platforms and it is very easy to do connect wallet because it is connected directly to the Trust wallet.

Trust Wallet is a digital wallet without custody that employs hot storage for cryptocurrency. It is commonly regarded as one of the finest cryptocurrency wallets because of its high level of security, accessibility, and support for numerous blockchains and cryptocurrencies. Trust Wallet is the official decentralized wallet of the exchange, which Binance acquired in 2018.

Trust Wallet is a popular crypto wallet that allows you to securely store and trade various cryptocurrencies.

I think it is a safe crypto wallet. Because Trust Wallet is the Safest decentralized crypto wallet. Moreover Trust Wallet Crypto app employs several security measures to protect client crypto holdings against hacking or theft. So I think it's safe.

Trustwallet is only one of the most popular crypto wallet applications out of many other wallet applications. The use of the TrustWallet Wallet application must of course be supported by good security and knowledge of its users. The wallet application on the smartphone will be very vulnerable to being hacked, especially if the user keeps the private key carelessly. Many complain that their wallets have been hacked, even though they have previously entered a private key on a phishing website or connected to an untrusted Dapps website.
Do not store large and valuable assets in trustwallet wallet applications or other wallets. It is better to use a hardware wallet which is certainly more secure.

If a Trustwallet wallet has been hacked, it is not necessarily a vulnerability of the wallet itself. Users themselves may also be guilty of this, since they can't look closely at their computer or smartphone screen and are clicking on all sorts of dubious links. Personally I like Trustwallet, finally I've waited for its browser version. The token of this wallet showed itself very well, even despite the extremely sad market.

Such inattentive people can lose their funds, even using hardware wallets, it won't save them from theft or phishing either, if they like to follow all sorts of dubious links and plug their wallets wherever they want. It's not about wallets, it's about users.

Trust wallets are vulnerable to hacking because the key uses the pharse method, which has previously been hacked by guessing the phrases until they are correct. This should be a consideration for looking for alternative pad keys, for myself, for wallet security, it is more convenient to use the private key (myetherwallet)method.
That is not personally made neither, there are some bots that is designed to crack it, and phrases means that you could literally try all the worlds as a combination and yes that requires a powerful computer but you would be going insane if you saw some of the botnets that these people have.

I have seen as high as 10 thousand computers (not all used by hackers, some just hacked to be part of botnets) used for one purpose. That type of power is insane and could crack any type of password or phrase. It's always better to have 2fa type of protection because that would be ever changing, and wouldn't give the botnets time to crack into it, will be a brand new one each 5 seconds or so.

I had been a Trust Wallet user for quite a long time having ported from Metamask and myetherwallet to Trust wallet so far no issue with the wallet their user interface is perfect with dark mode as an option and easily navigable and equipped with multi-coin wallet which is an added advantage as well, it help desk also linked with many social media like facebook, Twitter, telegram, reddit etc to provide solution for any new user  having any issue, it is highly recommended to new crypto users, however it is always advisable to store huge amount of coin in a hardware wallet where you can hold your key.
I still always pick with metamask. That is an easy thing to use and it goes on all directions and within itself you could always move the money around and so forth. It's also easy to connect to trustworthy places to move your money as well, and then send or receive from Binance is also very easy if you want to do that and if you want to hold your money, it doesn't hold your money, your money is in the blockchain, it just gives you easier way to control it, and move it around.

All in all, it's a perfect one and it is not even on your pc, it is a browser plugin, so it is really amazing. I am hoping to keep it growing bigger, I haven't so much yet, but I would love to have a lot of money on my metamask one day.

Trust wallet is safe as well, as long you keep your passphrase secret, which every wallet has private that can't be share with anyone or connect to online airdrop as a means of claiming airdrop, with this few things that make wallet not to be compromised or lost of funds. Therefore trust wallet is a multiple chain that can store Bitcoin and other Alt-coin in the cryptocurrency market industries.

Trust wallet is a safe and very user-friendly decentralized crypto wallet. It's an open source crypto wallet. As a online wallet it's safe for holding altcoins. But to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum I will recommend to use Electrum wallet.
Trust wallet has become very popular now everyone uses Trust wallet to keep their coins safe. I use Trust wallet for several days and put all my money in Trust wallet. I think Trust wallet is safe so I use Trust wallet.  Its demand is increasing day by day.
Trust wallet is popular and it is getting familiar with huge number of people all over the world. But it is not wiser decision to store all your valuable assets in one wallet whatever it is trusted. Try to store your money in different wallet which are trusted enough. I hope this will help you to secure your money.

In Short yes it's somewhat safe but they are open source can't say anything recently we had seen a huge pump in Trust Wallet native Token TWT after the CZ tweet if you notice carefully then CZ and Binance are amoung top holder so probably in future i think they can Maunplate the TWT token Already TRUST WALLET had some good downloading Number so yes
Just one Suggestion
INSTEAD OF USING these Software wallet
Just Spend some money and purchase some Good Hardware Wallet it is secured and safe right now
If you Remember what had happened with Slope Hack all memebers with Software wallet in Slope had got hacked because the connected their Wallet to XYZ site{don't wanna mention name}
And In that case person connected with Hardware wallet is Safe so it give us A extra Layer of Security 🙂

Trust wallet has quite a reputation has a lot of strengths and very wide functionality has a lot of support for different coins and tokens which means it can hold more cryptocurrency. many people are interested because it's easy to use, although sometimes it's very slow if sending coins even though the status has been sent but in fact it hasn't arrived, it has to be with high transaction fees and there is often a price difference with coinmarketcap maybe the update is slow

I have used trustwallet for about 2 years and in my opinion is safe, but I have read the article that multi platform wallet by providing seeds is in accordance with the programs designed so that all the seeds are also owned by developers, true or not this of course we must always be vigilant.

Most wallets have that kind of issue. I have been using Trust wallet for over 3 years now and I can say that it's really trusted.
However, we can't take all our doubts away so I still store my funds on a hard wallet where I could feel more comfortable and confident while keeping my investment.
Trust wallet has a good trust rate compared to other wallets and it's safety as for me depends on how we keep our keys and access safe.
Trust Wallet is a good, safe, and easy wallet for all investors. I can hold a lot of altcoins on it, most of which may not be in the hardware wallet. For me, the thing that worries me is that Trust Wallet is owned by Binance, and if something happens to Binance, this wallet will also be damaged, so hardware wallets are the best, It is not free, but in return for purchasing it, you will have a higher security rate than any other wallet, so you can sacrifice some dollars in exchange for living with peace of mind and not losing your money one day.

Therefore, if you would like to use hardware wallets, this will be the best and safest for you, you can buy the popular cold wallets in the market from their official websites.

~ Trust wallet is very secure and if anything was to happen to the Wallet, Binance will come to its rescued as they own it. ~
Really? I am confused by your statement. What kind of incident made them save Trustwallet (especially your money/coins)? Because as far as I know, Binance is only working on marketing development. Mainly of operations still controlled by the Truswallet team. Reference: Crypto exchange Binance buys Trust Wallet in first acquisition deal.

Suppose binance fully owns Trustwallet and takes all responsibility for Trustwallet but what will happen to Trustwallet if binance crashes. Binance is very safe right now but that doesn't mean they won't crash in the future, anything can happen. Like FTX, binance has a huge ecosystem so once binance collapses, binance related things will be hard to avoid. Solana is the most obvious example, FTX doesn't fully own Sol but they were sol's biggest investor and when they collapsed, Sol was also in serious trouble and could hardly stand.

This should be a consideration for looking for alternative pad keys, for myself, for wallet security, it is more convenient to use the private key (myetherwallet)method.
If you say using pharse method is more vulnerable it is not entirely true because hardware wallet is also using phrase method and you know that hardware wallet is currently the most secure wallet on the market. I don't see a big difference between trust and myeth, they are both software wallets and are connected to the internet frequently so they are very vulnerable to attacks and that is their downside. There is another difference that trust wallet is a multi-chain wallet and the metamask or myeth you are using is just a wallet for altcoins they cannot store bitcoins.

If we're talking about the most secure wallet then that has to be the cold ones because these types of wallet is almost too impossible to penetrate even for the veteran hackers because it is not normally connected to the internet unlike these software applications especially the typical ones that is connected to an exchange.

While it's true that Trust Wallet is one of the most secured software wallet application, it is still not the best storage especially if you're the ones who holds numerous coins with large quantities. Software apps should only be used for minimum transactions and only store some coins that you can afford to lose.
I think Trustwallet keep securing depend without any connected yet with unknow dapp exchange and never approving dusting token, several people losing their assets in trustwallet after connecting with new dapp exchange and usually have approved with dusting attack token because possibility give access with our wallet. I think if want to use trustwallet only for saving fund never allowed connected with new dapp exchange market, possibility when get exploit have risk with assets secure there.

Right now we can connected trustwallet access with Binance exchange because I tried with claimed NFTs on Binance and connected to trustwallet, I think be careful when connecting new site with your trustwallet if have primary wallet or can try with second trustwallet optinonal when connecting with new application.
as I have lived, usually I use a new trust wallet to transact in a new application, where we login and connect. that way the security of the wallet is still maintained. Until now I still feel safe with a trust wallet, and I think we can take care of it ourselves, so in the end many people have stolen coins because of their own mistakes, by responding to dust coins, so phishing happens

I am a little bit confused now there is aome kind of integritation of trust wallet with Binanace i am not sure as my info is a little so i cant say anything about it. If its true then Trust Wallet is no more Decentralized wallet and if its not the case then obviously Hot storage is safe untill your seeds are safe and better to preffer the cold storage for long term investment and holdings.

Well another major point about trust wallet is the fact that it is the wallet that is supported by Binance as far as i know. That is also the reason why it's price was climbing pretty heavily in the last few days while most tokens of the big centralized exchanges were plumbing after what had happened to FTX. At the moment one of the biggest rules in crypto: "not your key, not your coins" is in everyones mouth again because a lot of people had significant values on FTX and have now lost it. Trustwallet is one of the leading wallets out there so it is not a big surprise, that it's token went up. Metamask does not have a token yet obviously.
What he was talking is the wallet while what you are talking here is its token twt. It increase maybe because those who lose in ftt token by ftx have transferred in twt but there are still exchange tokens or wallet tokens out there. I think their values are also increasing but they are not being talked about. About the metamask, there are rumours before that they are going to create their own token but I don't know if what is the update about it.

Not sure if it was postponed or what but metamask is also one of the leading wallet and it's a competitor of trust wallet. Both are non custodial but I think electrum wallet is still more safer than these two.

Trust wallet has a 2FA feature that makes it more secure to use. I have been using trust wallet for a long time now and so far, I haven't encountered any problems. It's easy to use and their support is also responsive. It all depends on how we use it. As for me, as long as we keep our private keys safe, our wallets are safe and secured as well. We should only be handling our wallets safely and responsively

As far as I'm using it, it's really good, the 2FA security feature is very helpful and makes it difficult for hackers. That's right, the thing that needs to be paid attention to is maintaining/saving the phrase wallet (12/24 words), I once forgot my phrase wallet, and until now I can't log back in.

And what you have to pay attention to is avoiding dusting attacks that can take/hack your wallet through small transactions, I suggest you create the main wallet and a special wallet for participating in events if you are a bounty seeker in various network events or projects.

when it comes to security I'm sure no wallet is one hundred percent secure. moreover, trust wallets that only rely on software in their assets, if our cellphones are attacked then easily all our wallet access is taken. i usually change the wallet periodically if it is used for airdrop, unless the wallet for investing one wallet is enough as long as it is never connected anywhere.

Trust wallet is very secure and if anything was to happen to the Wallet, Binance will come to its rescued as they own it. Trust wallet give you a test of ownership as coins in the wallet are own by you and not exchanges as any coin you have in exchange aren't owned by you but the exchange. Trust Wallet is very convenient to use as both old and new cryptocurrency members can navigate the platform.
It isn't the best wallet out in the market but it's a better alternative to storing your coins on exchange as those who stored their coisn on FTX can't withdraw their coins anymore as the exchange has filed for bankruptcy. Which means they can't be able to handle withdrawals anymore as they're basically broke.

If we're talking about the most secure wallet then that has to be the cold ones because these types of wallet is almost too impossible to penetrate even for the veteran hackers because it is not normally connected to the internet unlike these software applications especially the typical ones that is connected to an exchange.

I think Trust wallet is safe because alot people use Trustwallet and trust wallet is a wallet where we hold our fund in the form of crypto and my experience is that Trustwallet is a very strong security u create your wallet so save your phrase so you easily open your wallet if you lost your phrase so definitely you can't open again some cases wallet are hacked but that is our own mistake we can't care and connect our wallet in different links which have not real so that is a big fact.

Not really if you are not careful on what you are doing in your phone like clicking a malware, engaging to trade a honeypot token, connecting it to a fake phishing site, etc.

As it is created online, that’s where the wallet is so vulnerable and the hackers can actually find a backdoor with all of the stuff I have mentioned if we are not careful without the need of seed phrases, private keys, multisig, etc.

Hardware wallet is always the best bet for our crypto funds to be safe.
Once we have invested in cryptocurrencies then we should equip a hardware wallet, there is no safer option than it. Although owning it will cost a bit more than other options but the security feature it gives us is well worth it. Let's say you have a bitcoin worth $16k and you don't want to spend $200 on a cold wallet, you store that 1 BTC in a software wallet and one day your computer gets hacked you lose $16k. So the question is do you want to lose $16k or $200?
I also believe that hard wallet is the go to if you want a more secure type of wallet. There are many entry level hardware wallet that has a sufficient security that will not make you worry about your security. I personally have 2 hardware wallet which doesn't cost me that much, For as low as 60 bucks you can get your own hardware wallet. Both of my hardware wallet is an entry level hardware wallet which is trezor model one and ledger nano S which cost isn't that much given that they are both entry level. Both performs well and I don't have any problem with both device. Trust me it is worth it because I have a peace of mind every time I heard that there are news about hacking.

Trustwallet is a non custodial wallet where opening an account you get a security phrase and control it as you wish.  Meaning that no one else will have control but you.  It is quite a popular wallet among mobile wallets and is used by many users.  But if you are planning to hold a large amount then it is better for you not to use Trustwallet.  In that case you can use any hardware wallet or you can use electrum wallet which has more secure

Binance has introduced the Trust wallet. So, if you can trust Binance, you can probably trust Trust wallet as well. Though they claimed it was open source, but it is not, as far as I know. That is why I don't use trust wallet at all. Not only that, but I prefer to keep my assets in a hardware wallet rather than a wallet software. I believe it is safe to keep funds there.

I used mostly Trust wallet for the previous one and a half years but didn't see any drawbacks according to my use. Most of my friends were telling that it is insecure because most of their funds were hacked in Trust wallet, but I think they had connected to some other apps that were malicious, overall usage of Trust Wallet is good.

Trustwallet and Safepal wallet is good so far for Android users. I am using Trustwallet for more than two years and still it's very safe for me and also it's supported so many chains which is very good. It's extension has been added in chrome store and now PC users can also use it.

when it comes to security I'm sure no wallet is one hundred percent secure. moreover, trust wallets that only rely on software in their assets, if our cellphones are attacked then easily all our wallet access is taken. i usually change the wallet periodically if it is used for airdrop, unless the wallet for investing one wallet is enough as long as it is never connected anywhere.

Personally, I use Trust wallet and I am satisfied with it, both in terms of use and security. Remember that the security of the wallet depends mainly on the users themselves. Double protections like 2FA are certainly useful, but the most important thing is to be careful and self-aware about the safety of users. We are never allowed to share our private keys or seed with anyone, and we should not install any applications or plugins whose origin we are not sure of. You have to be very careful what websites and applications we give access to our wallet. If something looks too good, it's probably a scam.
Yes, that's right, how secure is the wallet that we hold, if we can't take care of it properly, it will make us lose. It depends on the wallet holder himself, how he takes care of it. For example, if we have a safe wallet, if we are careless, it will be lost, and this is where a narrative will be created that will corner the wallet, when in fact we ourselves are in the wrong.
I'm also a Trust Wallet user, so far nothing I don't want, and I hope it doesn't happen to me. As you said, we have to be more selective in everything, especially when there is a wallet that is very important to us.

Depending on the conditions of each person, we can choose for ourselves a suitable wallet, trustwallet is not too bad or unsafe. But for large sums and long-term holding decisions, hardware wallets are more secure.
If you suggest Trust wallet. I will again refuse it. If you decided to use Trust wallet or online wallet so I will recommend Meta Mask wallet.

Because it can issue the airdrop in future so I will suggest this and I think it is more secure than Trust wallet. These are same but I recommend meta mask we can use every Blockchain on it.

I heard about metamask's token release and people are saying they will have an airdrop for users but if you want to get airdrop from metamask, I think you need to do many transactions on it, not just use it to hold to get airdrop.

Metamask is only wallet for altcoins, it is not for bitcoins, you cannot store bitcoins on it. Another thing is it seems you can't launch blockchain solana and many other networks on metamask but if you use trust wallet it is possible. For me, metamask is not multi-chain wallet like trust wallet.

I will suggest to buy a cold wallet if you do big transactions or you have big amount of assets. Because online you are not safe.

Your assets can be stolen at anytime. Or a hacker can hack your wallet. So to safe yourself from these kind of problems you should use a cold wallet.
I agree, ledger and trezor are great two examples of this, I think they cornered the market so well that nobody is trying to build even a competition to them to be fair. For a while Binance did with their "safecard" or whatever it’s called, but basically everyone is using ledger nano and trezor, which is a great deal.

I personally feel like my ledger is the thing that will give me freedom in the future, and I take care of it like it’s a big gold safe, like old comic book type of safe where there are tons of gold bricks in there. Because even though it doesn't have a ton of money in there, a few thousand dollars today could be a million dollars in a decade.

It is true that you cannot change the address on a trustwallet unless you are going to create a new wallet with a new seed phrase but metamask supports multiple wallet addresses using a single seedphrase which is nearly identical to a BTC wallet except that it does not display the total balance on all wallet addresses that include the phrase single seed. I think it depends on the user experience on the trust wallet.

From my own experience with trust wallets, I can say it is very secure as I have never been hacked, had my wallet opened, or any other unpleasant situations using Trust wallets. Others may have a different experience.

But do one thing right if you protect yourself with a trust wallet or some other wallet and you are disciplined you have nothing to worry about. I've been using TW for over a year now and everything is fine, no issues or complaints for me. It's one of the trading apps I use. I don't know if it's going to be naughty tomorrow but so far so good so far.

Not really sure, but their developer page claims that the wallet is open-source[1]. If it's accurate, then it's definitely a positive thing.

On the other hand, regardless if it's safe or not, it's really not recommended to hold huge amounts on money through a software wallet. 99% of people should always go with reputable hardware wallets.

[1] https://trustwallet.com/developer/

I like this point. After the falls here and there software part is untrustworthy and anything that’s online is sucker punch today or tomorrow. Now the priority is changed. Let us keep the sequence of securities like this: Hardware wallets being the safest one, then paper wallets, software wallets (preferably with Pass phrase + password protection), decentralised exchanges, (not you centralised exchange). That is something everyone should note now and follow whole thinking about storing huge amounts of coins. Smiley

For its own security, I think it all depends on each user regarding this Trust Wallet, Because there are too many fake sites Instead of providing to exchange Tokens that directly connect Trust Wallet, Even Trust Wallet is too easy to enter by Scammers who forge popular Tokens that are very similar, but if you look closely the fake Tokens have different Address contracts

Trust wallet is a multi-currency wallet that supports many coins and tokens. But those who want to hold their coins should not use this wallet because there are more secure wallets. Trust wallet is an online wallet and many people I know have had this wallet hacked. Of course, it was their fault because they visited a phishing site. Using a hardware wallet is the most secure.
I think all wallets come with their own risks, but it's true that hardware wallets are more secure. Trust Wallet is safe when we are good at managing it properly, I personally have used Trust Wallet for a very long time and so far I have never experienced anything unwanted like hacking or anything like that. I also don't only use Trust Wallet, Meta Mask is also one of the wallets that I have.
We must know what is and is not allowed to do when using Trust Wallet such as randomly linking to fraudulent sites.

It's owned by Binance, any software wallets  have a chance to get hacked. If you are already long member of Bitcointalk they will recommend you to use trust wallet because it's easy to use and requires no effort to use it. But after FTX and Binance event, many people prefers to move their assets to different wallet for their safety. Your best bet is hardware wallet since it's all you to secure your money instead of other wallets out there.

Trust wallet is not open source.

Here is their blog post announcing they are becoming closed source about 4.5 years ago: https://trustwallet.medium.com/why-open-sourcing-android-app-could-be-a-harm-to-the-crypto-community-fb3ae1707dc6

Here are the links to their Github repositories which show they are both archived and have had no updates in 4 years:
https://github.com/trustwallet/trust-wallet-android-source
https://github.com/trustwallet/trust-wallet-ios

They outright lie on their website when they claim to be open source. If being closed source isn't enough to convince you to stay away, then them outright lying to you should be. They are also owned and operated by Binance, so you can guarantee you will have absolutely zero privacy when using Trust wallet.

Avoid it.

Thanks for this, majority of my altcoin holdings are stored in trustwallet. If trustwallet is a closed source wallet, what are other good open source wallets that can hold altcoins and that are trustworthy and secure?

It is a non-custodial wallet that can be downloaded in mobile apps. Also in my experience I have not had any problems using it, although I have only entered small amounts of other cryptocurrencies in these apps.

Now if I compare it to other cryptocurrency wallet apps that can also be downloaded to our mobile phone, I think it is more recommendable for me than other non-custodial wallet apps. It's a pity and I missed the chance that I didn't buy it before it hit the market recently.

It is known widely that Trust Wallet is being used by the majority of cryptocurrency users, but without disclosing the fact, all of us did not know technically how secure it is. If we talk about security, it doesn't mean that everybody who is using it got no problem so the whole thing of how the wallet works is sufficient.

Contratry to their claim at https://trustwallet.com/developer/, where they stated it is an open source wallet, is not fully true. Their library is indeed open-sourced, but the whole wallet itself is not open-source. So, there is zero chance to fully inspect whether this wallet is trusted or not. My take is, yes, many people use it, but there is no difference to keep a fund in this wallet with storing the fund in an online wallet as the pinned news topic on here.

There is a custodial crypto wallet Cropty.com, really very suitable for beginners that allows not only sending and receiving coins easily, avoiding mistakes, as well as storing assets with military-level security, but it guides you through the crypto world and shows you all its advantages:
- restores access to funds if you forget the password.
- you can send tokens by mobile phone number, QR code, and even nickname! No more confusion with public addresses…

Yes your are right. Trust wallet is highly safe secure wallet in Crypto Industry. In my experience, every investors and every user who save your funds in Trust wallet. Also Trust wallet is multi chain wallet because there are many networks in Trust wallet.

Compared to other crypto wallets, I think the trust wallet is more secure. In terms of control and speed, it is more useful and has a better design than others. In the same way, as you said, it allows many networks to be opened in seconds over the same wallets without bothering us. In short, it is more convenient and safer than other wallets. But as many friends have said, there is no such thing as complete trust in the cryptocurrency market.

The word "much more secured" is untrue and can't be proven, just because you're addicted to trustwallet doesn't make it much more secured than imtoken, metamask, coin98 and the rest. Just follow security guide while using any wallet.

when it comes to security I'm sure no wallet is one hundred percent secure. moreover, trust wallets that only rely on software in their assets, if our cellphones are attacked then easily all our wallet access is taken. i usually change the wallet periodically if it is used for airdrop, unless the wallet for investing one wallet is enough as long as it is never connected anywhere.
Although there's no wallet is having 100% security, but it doesn't mean you should choose a bad wallet to hold your coins. We're discuss the wallet security from technical aspect and how we're making sure to immune against hacker, physical attack can't be prevent.

I'm not sure why you're change your wallet periodically when you used it for airdrop, because it doesn't change anything.

If you use Trustwallet and you think not connect it with internet connection will prevent against hacker, then it's only your poor assumption since it's wrong.

We have the control over our trust wallet and that’s a good one especially if you are going to hold more coins. Well, I also use trustwallet and for years now my funds are still there doing great. Your money will be safe as long as you know how to protect your wallet, and I think there’s no issue yet about hacking with Trustwallet so I assume it’s totally safe, just get the right apps and it should work fine for you.
I've never had a problem with the truswallet application except that they never protected the wallet to increase the security of wallet access, so the hacking factor occurred because the wallet user error never protected the wallet and even gave an error in providing the private key on the airdrop registration form because they never checked first and many other human error factors. The trustwallet application is a safe crypto wallet application so make sure we protect the wallet and avoid giving wallet access to suspicious sites

It is a close source wallet which we don't know who might have the data of each wallet or who might have access to all wallets. Try to do some research about close source wallet and open source wallets and know the difference between the two. I have been using Trustwallet for quite some time and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary like someone having access to my wallet. I also use it many times doing transactions but I usually use Trustwallet as a bridge before my crypto are sent to my other wallet. In short, I didn't store my crypro in Trustwallet wallet for too long and if I have received crypto in my Trustwallet then I will send it to my other wallet right away.

Sometimes I still don't know why many persons are so addict to trust wallet and keep it has so many users so far that other wallet that also have great feature that Trust. Well I could remember that this wallet became very popular doing Ethereum Smart contract that made many investors to consider it as a good option because of the inbuild browser in it. Till now many investors still prefer it especially the newbies crypto investors that do not know much about wallet and uses.  Since it is preferably by others then it still has some good uses.

Maybe it is just me but I still prefer Metaverse a lot more, that is something I would rather see grow bigger in the long run. I know that some people prefer trustwallet because of the UI, but metamask is a lot better, have millions of users, and it is something that is only just a UI that shows your wallet that you own and control, so if your metamask was ever "hacked", it is just the UI and not your wallet that gets hacked and it's fine.

This means that it is the safest one and it is the best solution to this, it’s just a few buttons made easier for you instead of writing code to do stuff. I have used it since it came out, and I have been quite happy with it, much better than trust wallet.

I don't usually trust any wallet which supports a lot of cryptocurrency and Trust wallet is one of them. But there was a time I badly needed to sell a coin that I accumulated from promoting one campaign and luckily Trust Wallet have it available in their application.
After that, I have been using regularly for buying NFT tokens and using it for mini transaction in the BNB chain although I don't deposit too much just to be safe.
Thankfully, I never had a problem with it yet and that self-browser feature is very helpful connecting with DEX for people who only have access with their smartphones.

If talking about software wallets, trust wallet and metamask are considered the two most popular and easiest to use wallets. Trust Wallet is developed by Binance exchange itself, so I think it is safe to use, as long as Binance and BSC are developed, we can be safe using their products. I am also using trust wallet for my small assets and to participate in airdrop or NFT I have no problem with it either. Many people are afraid because Trust wallet is closed source but at least it is developed by leading vendors in the market so I believe it is still safe.

There may be many crypto wallet in industry but trust wallet is one of best wallet to secure your assets. Trust wallet work in many blockchain so worldwide audience is using this very secured wallet. Trust wallet works on safety vision for traders. I have been using this wallet from 4 years and this app is most successful on my mobile. No harm is using this wallet keeping phrases safe.
Yes, Trust wallet is among the reliable wallet that is well secure for both long term investors and short term investors in the community. Many potential investors that started using trust wallet some years ago in the community, prefer to use the Trust wallet than any other wallet because it hard for scammers to have access to your money in the trust wallet or hack your wallet without your permission. I guess, people will continue using this trust wallet to store their money for future purpose, since it has helped many people to became successful in their investments.

OP If you can say that Trust wallet is more secure than others then you already know more than you should...mind you this is a hot wallet, they are designed for storing some coins that you want to use daily as means of payment and stuff, if your asset is in thousands of dollars it's better to buy a hardware wallet.

Just dont use trustwallet for storing big amount of valuable tokens to avoid being on danger from potential breach or hack.

It maybe famous and popular but its always better to be safe than sorry right? Before I hold some of the tokens here but with careful analysis of the source then its good that we do know what could happen if worse comes to worse.

Using top exchanges is not bad and is preferably the most secured ones for storing our coinsand digital assets. I'm not saying that trust wallet is not good to use, but Trust wallet is a non-custodial multi-crypto wallet which gives absolute control to it's user which can store both digital assets from Crypto and NFTs. It's secured with 12 phrases which should be kept discreet from anyone because once a person gets a access to it, he or she have gain full access to your portfolio and if one forget the phrasal keys, that's one big move of been unlucky but those phrases can be recoverable.
Not your keys, not your coins. Holding your coins on exchanges is a worst decision and every newbie shouldn't follow your advice!
Even though Trust Wallet is a non custodial wallet and you have a key to access the wallet, but it's closed source which mean the developer can add any malicious code that everyone still don't know until now!

What if they have a code to copy a seed pharse of each user? they can access your wallet without you knowing which person access your wallet.

You can use Trust Wallet for storing your coins and tokens. Trust Wallet is basically a multi-currency wallet that supports all types of tokens in this wallet. This wallet is much more secure than other wallets.

I myself think that BSC (BEP-20) only uses MetaMask for storing my tokens. The point is, just adjust it to the chain network that you use, for example if you use SOLANA it means you have to use Phantom Wallets.

This shows you have lack of understanding of how to keep you crypto safe. Anyone who have large amount of crypto is never going to keep their coins in an exchange. Instead of giving you the direct answer I would give you some clue to study.

Study about custodial and non-custodial wallets, study multi-sig wallets, hardware wallets, ways to keep your seed/private key safe.

I was following up your topic on meta, to see how you are doing. You need to learn before suggesting others anything.

Correct information, I understood from your post. Thank you very much I learned how to actually keep safe.It is better to keep more coils in a safe place. I really needed your help to learn.

Trust wallet is not fully open source from the information I've gathered in the past, some said it's half open source and half closed source so there is no real proof that this wallet is fully open source which is not good for me.

It's the best mobile hot wallet out there but don't use it to store a large number of assets, it's best to buy a hardware wallet, a hardware wallet is the most secure of them all not Trust wallet.

Basically Binance relies on the fact that altcoin traders and bag holders don't bother doing research (otherwise they wouldn't have been bagholding altcoins). So they released some source code a the start and later they moved to complete closed source without removing the claim of being open source. So newbies see that lie about being open source on their website and maybe see a github account and think the wallet is safe to use!

Trust Wallet is one of the most popular wallets. It is a mobile wallet thus it would make things easier to send out crypto through your phone. If you are using it for small amounts and quick spending then it is ok. But if you're storing high amounts of crypto then it would be safer to have hardware wallets. One of the safest hardware wallet is Ledger Nano X. The security of Trustwallet is as secure as Metamask. Don't expose or give your secret phrases in any third-party websites. People will try scamming you by sending suspicious links or installing suspicious apps. In short Trustwallet is secure enough if you're careful and if you use it for everyday use for small amounts.

The claim on their website is clearly lying. But that's not the case on their GitHub repository page since "Trust Wallet Core" is not "Trust Wallet".
Sure, but they rely heavily on the fact that most users (and probably almost all users who are using a closed source wallet owned by Binance) will be unaware of the difference between a library being open source and the app being open source. Lots of similar statements on their Twitter account not clearly making the distinction, such as:
https://nitter.it/TrustWallet/status/1271248054755229697#m
https://nitter.it/TrustWallet/status/1104686959304368128#m

They also lie about it on Binance:
Moreover, the wallet’s code is open-source, which means that the code has been thoroughly vetted by developers across the globe.
A community-driven, completely open-source, multi-coin crypto wallet.
Trust Wallet (trustwallet.com) is a self-custodial wallet that is secure, open source and decentralized.

I am not sure if I agree with their argument, and I know that other wallet software has had similar problems with malicious clones.
I don't agree with their argument at all. It is easy to create a malicious clone without access to the source code, simply by copying the GUI which is easily visible. You can copy the back end from an old version and just add a few lines of code to send any seed phrase, generated or entered, to yourself over the internet. It doesn't matter if your malicious clone doesn't have all the functionality of the real thing - by the time this is discovered it is already too late for the victim.

And it already happened several times,

Not really sure, but their developer page claims that the wallet is open-source[1]. If it's accurate, then it's definitely a positive thing.
It used to be open-source in the past, but that's no longer the case. Neither their Android nor their iOS version have publicly verifiable code.
https://walletscrutiny.com/android/com.wallet.crypto.trustapp/
https://walletscrutiny.com/iphone/com.sixdays.trust/

...but when it comes to multi wallet I haven't find a wallet that's open source and supports 100s to 1000s of tokens, if I am wrong someone should please drop a name.
I have no idea how many altcoins it supports, but Unstoppable Wallet is a mobile multicurrency wallet that is supposedly open-source.
Wallet Scrutiny wasn't able to match the binary to the source code for their iOS app but they did it for the Android version.

The word safety is a relative word and varies from person to person and amount to another, but you must know some facts:

 - It's closed source: therefore I have to trust the developer team.
 - Your seed can be logged: even if you write it down, they may have logged it.

So if you plan to keep a lot of money, there are better alternatives.
As for small amounts that you are not afraid of losing, I do not think there is a problem, especially since many people use them.

Here is their blog post announcing they are becoming closed source about 4.5 years ago: https://trustwallet.medium.com/why-open-sourcing-android-app-could-be-a-harm-to-the-crypto-community-fb3ae1707dc6

They are making an argument against keeping their wallet software open source. I am not sure if I agree with their argument, and I know that other wallet software has had similar problems with malicious clones. Electrum is one example. Unlike electrum, I understand that Trust Wallet is a mobile wallet, that must be downloaded via an app store. It is much more difficult for someone to find the "correct" version of an app on the iTunes/google app store than it is to find the correct/official website for bitcoin core or for electrum.

They outright lie on their website when they claim to be open source. If being closed source isn't enough to convince you to stay away, then them outright lying to you should be. They are also owned and operated by Binance, so you can guarantee you will have absolutely zero privacy when using Trust wallet.

Avoid it.
The fact that binance manages the wallet software certainly gives me pause. However, I think that the "open source" claim is being confused. I don't see the claim on the download page in either the iTunes nor google play app stores. I do however see that people can "submit" DApp's that can run "on top of" Trust wallet.

I've been using TW for more than a year now and all has been rosy, no issues or complaints with it for me.
From my own experience with trust wallet I can say it's very safe because I have never been hacked, my wallet exposed, or any other unpleasant situation using Trust wallet.
This line of thinking is a fallacy.

It's like saying "I've been driving without a seatbelt or an airbag for a year, and I'm still alive, so doing this is perfectly safe and seatbelts and airbags are unnecessary." This is obviously nonsense. While you hope to never be in a crash, you should obviously take reasonable precautions to protect yourself just in case. And while you hope your coins are never lost or stolen, you should obviously take reasonable precautions to protect yourself just in case. And these precautions include not using a closed source wallet which could be doing absolutely anything behind the scenes.

Everyone who has lost coins via an exchange being hacked or a platform going bankrupt thought those platforms were very safe right up to the minute they weren't. Everyone who was trading on Mt Gox thought they were highly reputable until they lost everything. Everyone with coins in Celsius thought everything was fine until their accounts were frozen. And everyone who uses a closed source wallet will be happy with it right up until some vulnerability is discovered and they lose everything.

So many replies I think it's would be unbelievable if you still don't understand what a trust wallet is. But to your second question.
I think it depends on the experience of the user on the trust wallet. From my own experience with trust wallet I can say it's very safe because I have never been hacked, my wallet exposed, or any other unpleasant situation using Trust wallet. Other might have different experiences. But get one thing right if you protect yourself on trust wallet or any other wallet and you are discipline you should not have any worries.

Your answer summarizes all the points I wanted to clarify. Thank you.
To clarify also it was made by independent developer named Victor Viktor Radchenko and was purchased by binance later on. Before completing the purchase, it was open source and had an announcement thread on the forum. I forgot where i saved the link to that thread and searched for it, but found nothing.
I also never recommend using it as a main wallet but it may be useful for Binance users who can link their accounts on the platform to that wallet.

Many investors and holders prefer trust wallets nowadays.
How do you know many investors prefer the Trust wallet nowadays when the dev team claimed it open source and no source code is make to the public.

Moreover, this wallet is much more secure than other wallets.
It is hard to know if it's more secure because there's no public review of the wallet source if there are some flaws or backlogs which will be users vulnerable to attack.
having said that, there's a time when few users of wallet lose their funds.

I'm reading warnings on how Trust Wallet shouldn't be trusted, owing to the fact of it being closed source. I know that crypto stuff are highly technical and require tech gurus to know how to meander through its technicalities. I've been using TW for more than a year now and all has been rosy, no issues or complaints with it for me. It's one of the trading apps I use. I don't know if it will go rogue tomorrow but it's so far so good at the moment.

On the other hand, regardless if it's safe or not, it's really not recommended to hold huge amounts on money through a software wallet. 99% of people should always go with reputable hardware wallets.

I can see that on GitHub, but that should not be the reason yet that it is open source to people that are not developers. Or you check the codes and completely verify that they are completely open source? I am not a developer and I can not verify this yet. Let us see other members that know about this to comment before we can decide it to be completely open source or not.

It seems that BTC is the only crypto that has open source wallets, maybe Ethereum too but when it comes to multi wallet I haven't find a wallet that's open source and supports 100s to 1000s of tokens, if I am wrong someone should please drop a name.
Some hardware wallets are open source and support bitcoin and many altcoins.

Trust wallet and metamask are both open source wallet which you can find there github repositories on there official girhub account attached below link. It's true that you can not change address on trustwallet unless you will create new wallet with new seed phrase but metamask supports multiple wallet address using one seedphrase that almost identical to BTC wallet except that it didn't display the total balance on all the wallet address that belongs to the single seed phrase.

A close wallet that do not give the option of a changing address. I can not recommend a wallet that encourage address reuse.
While generating keys and addresses on Trustworthy, no option for passphrase
Not supporting multisig
No coin control and anything like address freeze
It may be a good option for altcoins to many people, but for bitcoin, I can not recommend it. Use Electrum or Bluewallet or other reputed wallets for bitcoin. Going for altcoins, open source hardware wallet would be the best option.
