How to get a Rank promoted Can?
Oh boy, I no lie. I am confused of your topic, but it is your content that made me to understand your topic. please next time when creating a thread make sure the title of the thread must be simple to understand. There is no short cut in ranking up. the only two things that I know very well that can make one to rank up are 1. merits and 2. activities. And for you to move up (rank up), you must make quality post to educate and contribute to knowledge to acquire the merits to rank up. And also don't be in hurry to rank patiently acquire your desire merits and rank up gradually. I will advice you to read the following threads for have more knowledge in the forum. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ranking-up-is-possible-2900-merits-earned-in-less-than-12-monthsmy-11-hints-5098333, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727. what you have to do now in the forum is to read the rules and regulations so that you can do well in the forum.

You don't need a higher rank.  You're doing just fine right where you're at.
And thanks to the merit system he probably won't move far from a newbie rank.

So sir what a beautiful advice you have given me which gives me a hope for the next life. Your advice has made me feel more confident about this forum. I want to do better by getting your advice which is a legend like you I hope.
I read the posts of legends like you very carefully which will help me a lot in later life. You are the real hero of this forum.
Buddy, stop sucking up others as that kind of behavior won't bring you any merit and you might even end up on ignore list if you continue. Just stop thinking about ranks & merit, focus on learning and communicate with others in a normal fashion.

Another interesting question, why do you need a high rank?

Whenever I see you ask newbies that are so inquisitive of ranking up this question, I always laugh at it, but today I had to think over this question and understood that the question is very deep.

On a norms, you are in this forum without restrictions, without limitations, whether you rank up or not, whether you earn merits or not you will still be able to engage in all kinds of conversations and discussions in the forum. Now, the big question is, "why do you need merits, why do you want to rank up"??
Is there any other possible answer(s) apart from to be able to earn? Besides newbies also earn in the bounty section.

Partaking in Bitcointalk is not the same once one can set Shitpost a Pokemon picture on one's profile for the world to see (while one's out a campaign, that is).

It's not hard to rank up or gain merits here, but when you first join the forum it really seems impossible. I remember when I joined I was pretty lost and probably made alot of post that made me look really stupid and desperate. Merit wasn't a thing then just had to post and get activity every couple weeks. I still felt intimidated a bit by the higher ups on the forum. I even got banned for 2 weeks for spamming while wearing a sig. Made me feel really stupid at the time.

My advice, don't worry about anything but joining in conversations and offer genuine advice/help to those whom you are replying to. Don't force anything and don't be too pushy. Just participate in conversation and everything will start coming. 1 day you'll wake up and find people started reading your posts and meriting you and you weren't even expecting it. Posting is easy, just make sure you aren't spamming.

I want to add a little more regarding the purpose of quality posts, which I understand that these posts contain several elements such as informative and can be a solution to a problem faced by someone.
These quality posts that is usually talked about may contain several elements like you say, but there are no exact or accurate elements that a member should try to force into their posts to reach that threshold, for example asking genuine questions about bitcoin or the forum isn't providing any solution to any problem in itself, but it attracts merits, maybe even more than when you provide a solution to a problem, simply because of the will to learn. Members should have a true desire to learn, not force anything on themselves, and grow based on how their knowledge can carry.
To be able to do that, I agree with you that it is necessary to participate in many discussions that can increase our knowledge apart from reading news and books and articles.
For beginners, participating in many discussions should involve or mean more of reading many topics without writing or posting too much.

How can I move up the rank on Bitcoin Forums? Just posting what we can't go up any other steps we have to take.
Quality posting it the only thing that will get you some merits unless someone gifts you a few out of pity, for example. Get involved in constructive discussions if you want your contributions to be noticed and merited. It's going to be harder for you if you don't know anything about Bitcoin and have no intention to learn how this forum works.

But you know all this so this topic is once again meant to beg for Merit. I've checked all your posts and none of them is worth reading.
Dude, OP....you're asking for trouble by starting threads like this after posting stuff like what LoyceV linked to.  Clearly you're just fishing, hoping some sucker will take pity on someone who just can't figure this big, complicated merit system out.

You don't need a higher rank.  You're doing just fine right where you're at.

Why so inclined to rank up? You are still allowed to use the forum even if you don't rank up. You do not need to rank up to join discussions in here.

This is one of the best tips I've read lately on the forum and I totally agree with you.
I felt very similar when I first joined the forum.
I knew next to nothing about bitcoin or crypto and didn't know what to write about.
However, similar to you, I started reading the posts of older and more experienced forum members, learning from them and getting involved in the forum discussions a bit.
That's the only right way.
There is no shortcut how someone can overnight become a member of the forum with a higher rank and a greater number of merits.
Every achievement is the result of one's own work and investment.

OP, you've got some references in this thread. You can read and try it.
but if you're still having trouble, there are already local boards you can visit. I think you will find more understandable information there. Of course, there will be many people to help you.

I find it strange that after minutes after giving such good advice about earning merits, you would create a topic asking how to get merits. It’s a bit of an oxymoron if you ask me. If you’re new to bitcoin, I suggest you read this thread, I think the fastest way to learn is to be practical, buy a small amount of bitcoin so you understand better how to send and receive bitcoin.
He created this post on Meta already tell us what his purpose, there's few thread a newbie asking for simple question that's has been answered many times, but he get merit from a merit source.

As you can see on his another post, he's asking for 1 merit which mean he already know how to rank up, but he act like he doesn't know anything.

I advice to other users to not simply giving merit to him, he seems to be an user who want to attach image but doesn't want to pay copper membership.

And I want to grow so that I can contribute something to the forum by way of informative posts. Like your post contains a lot of information that helps younger users.
OP, don't focus on rankings or merit but focus on learning more about bitcoin and share your thoughts on it. I think if you can have a good track record about it, then I believe you will easily rank up in the end. You can even ignore the rank and the amount of merit you get due to the quality of the post because actually users who are quite familiar with bitcoin and share their opinion about it will be more privileged than other users.

You can find a lot of information about bitcoin in this forum, discuss it with experts, but if you want to learn the basics, then I would recommend you to read a lot on this site.

Just be active and contribute to what you can. Your rank does not determine on how much you can contribute in here. There were some newbies here that were far more experienced than other higher "forum ranking" users.

How can I move up the rank on Bitcoin Forums?
You should try to know the main purpose of the forum and put your focus on how to learn  bitcoin and share your knowledge that can benefit other members of the community.  Do the right things , learn bitcoin first, don't put ranks to as your first priority.  Knowledge about bitcoin will give you what you want.

You don't need a higher forum rank for that. You can already contribute to the forum and share informative posts, regardless of your rank.

Remember, if your forum posts do get a lot of readers and engagement from other members, you'll have more visibility in the forum and your posts will get more attention and more merits, and you'll be promoted to higher forum rank automatically. It takes time, but it's definitely possible.

The first thing to do is browse the forum. Your question is discussed every other day. How did you find the "META" section? The next step is to click slowly on different sections of the forum, read the rules, and try to use the search.
