anything electronic and with scratching
Metal and Rock here. Mostly the more contemporary stuff. Don't mind a bit of electronic music every now and then, but much prefer a live band performing to a crowd. It's not the same if it's just a DJ with a mixing deck.
It might be a smaller demographic nowadays, but styles change and there's still plenty of new and talented musicians breaking through.
Rock; A dying breed in this generation because of WHUPWHUPWHUP and WURPWhooRP, and BURRRDURR, and "Yo, I has money bitch" and such.

aw, that is really nice, i was once listening to epic soundtrack (eventually i don't remember which one was it) and i've got a great feeling of being a hero, i mean, everything seems much more impressive when you are listening to smth. epic
to be honest I love cinema sountrack ... sometimes I listen it in mono channel ...

I too vary in my personal tastes, but Texas Folk is worthy of a go if you aren't familiar with it. Specifically Townes Van Zant...a good song to start with (imho) is Loretta. One of the most soothing lyrical songs I have ever heard.

These are the best no doubt, Beatles, Kinks, Stones, Doors etc. Some of genres are ok for certain situations. Techno based dance music is decent, Jazz is good, Metal can be ok when done by someone good like Rage Against The Machine.

and I forgot about classic music,i like Brahms and consider him one of the greatest composers of all-time. oh indeed, Brahms is the best for me, those melodies touch the deepest side of my heart.

I pretty much listen to anything as long as I like it. But most of it is usually more of the heavy kind.
i see most of you, bitcointalk guys, like heavy music, that's an interesting trend.
