I don’t even know if this is the correct thread for what I am saying.
I think a lot of people had recalled their memorable moment lately (myself included):

Hal is the 13th most merited user in the last 120 days, while satoshi is a few positions behind:

A true community know how to celebrate their heroes.

I'll be honest the most memorable moments for me probably are some of the most negative moments in the forum's history; the 2015 forum compromise. As well, as when Satoshi's GMX account was compromised, and was announced here on the forum by theymos. Thankfully the malicious user didn't actually utilize it for anything bad, and was mainly used to troll, at least to our knowledge. Although, I think theymos himself noted he was rather disappointed by the level of trolling displayed. Obviously, I'll echo others in that Hal's posts will always be somewhat memorable. The 2015 compromise was actually quite big, and I think we are potentially still seeing the effects of that now, with several users cracking passwords, and accounts being banned. At least, in the years following it was a bigger issue than users realised. We probably lost some prolific users during that time due to concerns of security, and privacy.

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of good memories here on the forum, but they don't particularly stick out as much as the negative, naturally.

The forum has been a very huge part of my day to day life meaning it's hard for a day to go by without me engaging with the forum and that's not just because I have some activities ongoing like my exchange and managerial duties. Even before I had all that, I still engage with the forum day to day making it very difficult to just pick one or two post as my favorite. I encounter new posts everyday that I fall in love with, it's very breathtaking when you see the quality of work/writing been put into some of the threads on the forum.

Just to method a few, the ones I can still remember where to find them;
Everything you wanted to know about BTC futures but were afraid to ask
Why people should be using SegWit addresses
How to sign a message?

As for the most memorable moments, it has to be my encounter with LoyceV back in 2018 that turned me around into a new forum member that developed interest in adding to the community through quality contributions instead of just been lost as I was previously in the forum. I doubt there would be anyone out there that'll be willing to delete majority of his post, lose all the activities just to prove how serious he/she is to becoming a better forum user. Today when you try correcting, they feel attack and start playing the pity game instead of owning up to their mistakes and work on been better.

Our most memorable moment was when Miss GrumpyKitty left this forum. It wasn't a good memory at all but must be remembered, and we still remember her as she did everything for this forum by going out of the box and doing every single thing in an extraordinary manner.

My most memorable moment was July 19, 2018, when theymos asked me if I wanted to be a mod Cheesy
That bubble lasted for almost 73 minutes, after which he said it was a mistake Sad

It was a mistake by him to say it was a mistake Smiley

So, do you have a favorite post, or most memorable moment?
My favorite/most memorable post is [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members started by zasad@, this topic was really interesting to say the least, quite a lot of reputable users, as well as users that have been in the forum for a very long time were interviewed and we got to know things about them that we would prolly have not known if that interview wasn't conducted, the post was also educative and entertaining, it definitely stands out as a memorable post in this forum.

I like this theme very much, this theme reminds me of an interesting thing,

When I first bought Bitcoin, my dad disapproved,He didn't like me participating in Bitcoin transactions outside of busy work,I will tell him some Bitcoin knowledge every day, and over time, he was influenced by me,Not only did he have no objections, but he accompanied me to start researching bitcoin and participating in bitcoin transactions. I am very happy that my dad is also on this forum.

Every morning when my mom handed me and dad milk and bread, she would say to both of us: Come on, Bitcoin House.

I wish I was as energetic as I am now(19)when I was 79.Continue to be active in the forum may be one of my goals.

This forum filled my days in the past three years.

There are many memorable moments in the forum. If I had to pick 5 of those, I would choose this mix of personal moments, and posts everyone can read and be inspired from.

The memorable moment was the COVID plague prank which infected users. In fact, I was one of the top spreaders

Funnily, some took offense at the whole thing because they thought it was poking fun at the victims/ pandemic.

Two of my most memorable moments happened in the "Collectibles" board:
- That board deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

  • The first time that I purchased a collectible item: Link
  • The first time that I received a "free" collectible item: Link
    - I was using that keychain up until the last few months [more than 5 years].

I haven’t been in the forum for a long time, and I am also busy with my work. The actual work is not smooth, but I have been recognized in the forum. I feel that this is an unforgettable moment.

This is a post I like, you can ignore the author. The story scene is what I like, and I hope to see it all the time in the future.

This article, I feel everyone’s love for the forum.

There is nothing wrong with making money. What I want to ask is what valuable things did they do for the forum? I can't figure it out, maybe I will also participate, but I will be more real.

Check the history of posting, from the beginning to the end, it is a bounty program. I was impressed and speechless.

There are lots of threads and replies which are very memorable for me, probably too numerous too count, I'll try to recount the few I can, and probably add more later on;

If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
This is one of my favorite quotes from Satoshi. It may not be the exact message he was trying to pass, but it fits with people that try to criticize Bitcoin with points that are non existent.

This thread; (SSS) - A Sane and Simple Bitcoin Saving Plan. It contains lots of useful investment advice that I found very useful

Always reminds me of [this] and [this] whenever I see farm accounts getting caught.

That's amazing. I know very little of account farmers and bounty campaigns, so it's interesting to see photos. I forget that people make a living based on this.

Actually, I'd like a scrollable method to look at all of the images that have been posted to bitcointalk over the years. I'm sure there are absolute gems that we've all missed.

Well, it is not only My most memorable day, also the most memorable thing in my life on this forum, was when I received my first merit from Indymoney Sir. I didn't know about merit. People say about quality posts, which I also didn't know. And that time, I replied to a post by Irfan_PAK10 Sir, and I got my first merit from Indymoney. I didn't know him. Now you know the best part. Irfan Sir is my favourite bounty manager, plus I am now a senior member of his management telegram group. Irfan Sir is my luck and Indymoney became my friend today. I got 2 people from this forum. Indymoney always helps me with any kind of problem, and Irfan Sir gives me an opportunity to stay with him to learn more about cryptography. These are my most memorable things on the forum.

Bitcoin is more than a technology:  Bitcoin is a social phenomenon.  And it is the first mass social movement in history that does not propose any opinion other than its own value.
Satoshi invented the technology. It took the community to make it valuable.

My most memorable moment dates back to when I was a junior member and I got rep by Yahoo62278 for my post quality. Best day ever! That really made me happy because at the time I didn't even know what quality meant in the forum. It just gave me the idea I was doing something right I can't find the thread now, but I will search for it to post here.

Farewell, Leo
I haven't been for a long time in this forum (I wish I had), but here's my top five list:

5. Bitcoin 0.3 released! — Satoshi calls Bitcoin a cryptocurrency (probably) for the first time. I also like the way he puts it.

I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

3. Pizza for bitcoins? — The first person who sent bitcoins and received goods.

Quote
I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas..

2. Satoshi's lesson — theymos' excellent writeup for the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin.

Quote
Bitcoin has come a long way in 10 years, but it still has much more room to grow, with both major challenges and major opportunities ahead. How Bitcoin moves forward - how Satoshi's work continues - is for as many people as possible to take personal responsbility for improving the Bitcoin ecosystem, creating interesting things, and changing the world for the better. Since we've long passed the moon, I hope you'll join me in aiming for the stars.

There are some of you who have been here for years and seen a lot of changes. And some of you who have been here for a little bit. But, what is your favorite post or most memorable moment?

Is it a drunken post, like 'HODL' https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-am-hodling-375643
Or a forum member that touched your heart in some way, like Hal Finney's bitcoin and me, or a charity https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-and-me-hal-finney-155054   https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/introducing-bithopeorg-bitcoin-charity-crowdfunding-1160390 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/charity-projects-with-crypto-2756737
Or maybe it's catching an account farmer https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5277202
Maybe it's seeing technical prowess and development? https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=2362.0%3Ball
Is your favorite post the question of who is Satoshi? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/who-is-satoshi-nakamoto-5951
Is your most memorable moment when you made Senior Member or Legendary?
Perhaps it is an argument with another, the block chain wars, or seeing lightning come into action?

So, do you have a favorite post, or most memorable moment?
