After that, I'd say Lol or Dota are really good f2p too. Lot of differents gameplays with all the characters available.
Dota 1 and Dota 2. I started playing since 2007 and until now. Unfortunately, it becomes more toxic as new players come. Instead of enjoying the game you became competitive. The essence of playing game is to "Enjoy" WIN or LOSE not being "Stressed" cause you lose. That's why I choose playing with friends instead of Solo queue.

The best free game that exists for PC without a doubt is "Path of Exile". A great company and from the beginning of the project it was very clear that it was a company that thinks more in the players than to look for economic benefit. After a few years comes the biggest expansion sota now that it completely changed the game model of hackandslash, making it less repetitive and much more dynamic.
