It will be very important to more quickly restore the portfolio at a safe point.
I am personally like to do short term tradings. It was more beneficial to me so far. I personally think that stocking coins for long term period may loose your money in the form of stock loss.
This is the main strategy when we talk about trading, We all hope to buy at bottoms and sale on peaks. I prefer a longterm hodl with my potential project. I think that this issue is very relevant today.

Probably the most widely used strategy is to wait to buy until there is a considerable correction. But sometimes if the increase happens constantly and not too big, chances are there will not be a big correction anyway. So always recognize each Altcoin's pattern to apply different strategies to maximize profits.

At the time of correction, I often buy the same coins several times, to minimize the unit price. Of course this applies only to the blue chip Altcoin. Normally I do not plan for short-term trading, except replace Altcoin with others. The main strategy is to divide the portfolio with several different risk levels. This will vary because most Altcoins with large marketcap have the same trend.
Right now I choose to hold altcoin that I can further earn more by holding, there are some unique features like parking your coins to generate additional rewards over time which is good.
hold coin is a good way and does not require complicated things like trading but still there has to be an analysis to choose what altcoin in hold so no mistake step for the future, and remember to always be patient to hold
I have opted for long term hold rather than day trading which I spent most of my time on when the market was still good. Cos I can stand selling my hard earned tokens for relatively ridiculous prices now when I am hoping for them to be a huge success in months/years to come.

My strategy in trading is day trading. I invest in some coin and I look at them everytime in day.
The only plan that is currently working for me is the method of holding for a long-term. My source of income on cyrptocurrency is trading for a long term, which had yielded me with so much profit and am yet to recover from.
While the market remains unstable, therefore, personally took for himself a break in the trade in coins. I just keep the coins BTC, ETH and NEO for the future.

That is what I am doing. Even though there is a large drop in the price I remain a holder since the price could recover one day. Once the price recovers then I plan on cashing the money out. my strategy divide in to two main parts. one part more than 80% is for long-term and holding and another part (20%) is for tradeing. this strategy help to be aware of risks and very safe and profitable

Both short term and long term I have pre-defined plans and guidelines. I always have a target profit and unless the situation changes dramatically I will stick to it. Having a plan in mind before you make trades allows you to effectively remove emotion from the situation.

I prefer long term investment. If a coin wich I have see a big pump I sell immediately. If a coin that I have in lose I hodl for a long time.
