This is a normal situation. When people hear negative news about Bitcoin, they will choose to sell. They are newbies to cryptocurrency and they are afraid of failure. This is also the reason why most newcomers fail to invest. This will also be the experience accumulated for their future investment, and the wasted opportunity can only be missed. The potential of Bitcoin in the future is still worth long-term investment.
You are right. People who panic and sell their bitcoin when the price goes down are mostly Newbies, who just got into the Crypto world. They lack confidence and patience, and are afraid of losing. Bitcoin is for the strong hearts. The reason i don't panic when the price falls, is because I believe the price can't fall to $0, and I also see every fall in bitcoin price as an opportunity to buy more of it. Bitcoin will definitely be more valuable in the future.

We saw the past from $10 to 60k is going up and up. So it sure it will reach $500k next destination.
But why the hell people panic sell now after it reach this high amount?
Do people really still think it goes to 0?

There soulnd't be any sale presure given the history that we see Bitcoin only going up in value

I think you have to consider people on the trading platform. There are also some investors who enter large amounts of BTCs on their transactions that on the slightest increase/decrease on its price means thousands to millions of dollars of gain/loss on their part.

That is why, it is essential that an investor knows the status of his investment. Some people focus on either short/long-term investment but it all depends upon the status of the market. There is no absolute formula where people follow depending on their investment- it's just that the main goal that everyone should follow is "purchase low, sell high".

For me, it's the mentality and the goal that they had in mind when they first entered the volatile market of cryptocurrency. Mentality because they might be thinking short-term and can't see or has a tunnel vision that a long-term investment isn't in their mind plus they also have the mentality of being paranoid that cryptocurrency might go down someday snd that they want to get out as early as possible.

Because people mostly wanted to earn easy money than longer value .

many of them hates to see their funds losing so instead of keeping waiting , yet they panic sell and react everytime there are bad news or speculative negativities .
People choose to sell because they are afraid. This is to prevent more losses. The people who do this are often newcomers who have entered the currency circle and cannot afford to lose. So I suggest that newcomers can invest a small amount of spare money, so as not to be unable to bear the risk.
actually by selling in panic made them a loser at that time.

if they tend to sell , then they may lose if they tend to keep , also they will lose so choices are made.

Believe in FUD and FOMO.
It is not necessarily a panic selling, it may be a timely stop loss. Believe in Bitcoin.
Selling bitcoins at low prices is a minority.
Most of them sell bitcoins at high prices to make money.
No one is a fool.

When we buy bitcoins of course hoping to make a profit, if the price drops then this is a better opportunity to buy cheaply, bitcoin has been more than 12 years and the many negative campaigns through FUD and FOMO have happened thousands of times, as holders of course we will not do a stupid hol that is by selling cheap.

no btc isnt going up the whole time but it also has a history of downs many times and this is why some people sell when they saw the price rising because they are afraid that price will go down again .
let them sell with all their heart because they wont have a chance to earn a nice profit when btc reaches 500k and more but you that strongly believes in btc will get rewarded when the right time comes .

it's not because they wanna get out of Bitcoin and cash out to fiat. i tend to sell as well when i see price starts to crash while we are expecting another climb. so whenever this happens i will have to recheck the chart and if its possible to profit from the drop which could be another lower/higher low, i will sell to try to see where i could buy again.

its a bit of experimenting i guess. like right now I've just sold again  in $50,000 for i see it may go down. but wish me luck

Panic will affect the nervous system, direct psychological impact will be accompanied by hasty decisions, not controlling your own behavior.  Impatience, lack of confidence are the reasons that accompany the panic that shows the failure in this market.  All that happened after that, was guilt and regret

People selling bitcoin in panic when they hear that their country is going to ban bitcoin this happened with me many times in the beginning I used to be very scary what would I do if i will lose my money which I invested in bitcoin but now I understood nobody directly can ban bitcoin.

Hmm.. this has happened multiple times here in India. There is no clarity on this issue from the government, so any rumor or FUD circulating around in the social media can have a great impact on the local users. First occurrence was in 2018, when the Reserve Bank of India issued a warning (not a ban) against cryptocurrency and prohibited banks from working in the cryptocurrency sector (the ban was struck down by the supreme court in 2020). Then again by the end of 2020, a bill which would have made possession of cryptocurrency a criminal offense was listed in the parliament website. After a lot of social media campaigning by the users, the government decided to shelve the bill. But on both the occasions, it resulted in panic selling among the Indian users.

The price fluctuation of the currency circle has a lot to do with some news about the market. Whether it is good or bad, it will arouse the emotions of investment enthusiasts, especially some unfavorable news, and some novices or inexperienced people are the easiest to choose to sell. This is a human instinct, panic because of falling prices. But we need to be patient if we want to make a profit.

I don't think they think it will go to 0 maybe they panic sell because they buy when bitcoin is on ATH and when prices fall and there is a lot of bad news and bitcoin dump that's when they panic sell

The saddest experience I have had in relation to the fall in the price of bitcoin was when the pandemic was declared on March 10, 2020. I told myself if I spend all my bitcoin and some altcoins then it will all have been worth it, because my duty is to take care of my family and protect it.
But fortunately the crypto market changed for the better, I did not spend all my bitcoin and I still have my altcoins which are few because I do not need so many.
There is no need to panic, we lose money if we sell our bitcoin or any other crypto that we have.

In this market, losing is always inevitable. You can't achieve success without losing. And even if you are already gaining, losing is always there. Because in this market, the price is very volatile and no one can actually give precise prediction of the price. So all are fair in this market. Unless, you get involved with coin of very small market cap that the team behind can easily manipulate their prices.

Panic selling will just make your investment fall into losses so if we can still handle the pressure, then stay calm and be patient for the sake of future profits. Although panic selling sometimes becomes inevitable but the more we do it, the more chances we will lose all what we have started.

Even myself still fall into panic selling sometimes especially if some emergency cases suddenly arise but as much as i can do, i will never push through it and still think panic selling should not be our last resort. We can lend money to some friends if badly needed but selling our hard earned coins is not really worth doing.

Panic selling takes place when heavy pressures show up inside the market, when price falls hard if you don't have the nerve to take the risk, then expect that panic selling will happen to you.

It's always good to calm and never to rush your decision. Evaluate the situation and make sure that you judge things according to your knowledge.

People learned from past mistakes you need to work with deeper knowledge, so in times of critical situation you can judge it up to your best understanding and avoid losing or lessen the chance of losing your money.
