There are so many things that can make a country more power and one of the things is less curruption. Curruption is one of the things that do make a country falls and when it has no control, things will get bad and there will be more calamity for the citizens to make the right choice. Bad government also contribute to how successful a country could be mostly when they are not organized.

If a country is independently sustainable, have good economy, reasonable population growth, internally produced finished materials, high GDP, employment rate, low poverty rate, favourable environmental conditions, technological development, innovation and research and peaceable for a living, this will help them in having more power and say to show forth good example on others, the strong economy is a major drive that prioritize them over the other, because they renders help over others and have a good system in place others can learn from.

Their power is overestimated because they aren't maintaining most of their equipment and that includes nukes. A great example of Russian maintenance is the state in which their carrier is. They had at least 2 big fires on it and it was supposed to get refitted but is inoperable for years now and even Russian sources say it's not going to be fit for service at least until 2024. In reality that's probably never and it's eventually going to be scrapped, because who's going to operate a ship that uses oil fired steam boilers in 2024, when the rest of the world has nuclear warships.

Countries can be powerful in many ways. They can have large economies, armies, technology they're trading. China is powerful because it has enormous industry and companies from around the world use their facilities to produce stuff. On the other hand, North Korea has nukes and nobody respects it, so nuclear arsenal is not the only factor that counts. Russia is not powerful because it has nukes but because it's the largest country in the world and 9th largest in population but with the number Russians dying or fleeing from the country it may soon fall from that position.

Military strength, weapons, GDP and technology. In previous years before civilisation military might was the only criteria for supremacy but as innovation and technology came into play the more powerful a countries military might is as regards their physical strength and weapon might decided who tops the chart of who get more stronger recognition. Now technological advancement has made it even more difficult to rank a military base without good technology.

Militaries make nations stronger than others because countries make colors to cover the rights of the weak from the strong. From the beginning the service was one part of the bureaucracy, the other being the civil administration. Administration collects the necessary levies for running the state, provides introductory communal amenities and smooths the day to day lives of the citizens. The duty of the service was to maintain internal order, to cover the citizens' property to insure the essential security of life.

When you say power, it consists of three things, the number of military, wealth, and weaponry. We see that wealthy countries like Brunei are untouchable because of their wealth and they don't really need to build their nuclear base because the other countries that have some weapon of mass destruction are offering them protection. I mean, countries that have some more powerful weapons are also in need of other wealthy countries to support them and that's how it goes. I may say the most powerful country in today's era is no other than China because they have all of those traits and they don't need any country to protect them in case they will declare war.

The military power of any country determine the strength and powerful they will become

Secondly the kind of system of government the operate

The ancestral strength of any given country always affect their present

We can't really ask if a 'country' believes in God. Why not? Because some of the people do, and some don't.

Essentially, all people believe in God way down deep. Why? Because we all are made up of the Spirit/Image of God at our core. Some people claim that they don't believe, because they can't see through the mess of distractions in their lives. Others recognize God, but have a dim view. This means that they can't see what God is all about correctly. There is no clear picture of God anywhere, that portrays Him completely accurately.

What one needs is a sufficient amount of God - Jesus - so that he can be saved. It's like a swimmer who is drowning. He may be deep in the water and realize he has little hope. He may be near the surface. But it's only when he gets his head out of the water that he can breathe. And if he grabs that round life-saver that somebody threw to him, only then can he stabilize his life in the water. Jesus is the life-saver. So...

Regarding China, the people are at different stages in their salvation... their belief about God that is worthwhile. Some have their heads above water. Some have even taken a strong stance in their faith by grabbing the life-saver. Most are still under water.

However, if the US ever dropped a nuke on China, it would take out both the believers and the unbelievers in the area it was dropped on. But the taking-out is only for this life.

This keeps me wondering if China believes in God

This resources you just mentioned makes me  believe that some countries really lack good leadership that have the will power to harness and utilize the abundant resources within the country. Because some countries really have these resources but find are not in anywhere recognized as one of most powerful. What we are facing here in my country

These powerful countries have influence because to some other countries these countries have been more successful than they have in some certain areas that these countries which to be, hence the respect that brings influence.

I think a powerful country is a stable country with very strong military strength and have great influence over other countries, a powerful country also has very strong allies and relationship with other big countries that respect them.

There is one thing that makes a country greater than another country, even when it is a weaker country. God is the answer.

Two of the reasons why God makes a country stronger than others are:

1. The people of the country believe in God, and are sincerely asking for His help and protection;

2. In the case of a wicked country becoming powerful, it is God making people of all countries be more sincere in their worship of Him. When people are oppressed without a way out, they plead with God for help... in sincerity.

A strong economy and a strong military are the primary factors that make any country more stable and robust. But in my opinion, good men's power and the prosperity of the citizens are also significant and essential factors that can make any country more powerful, stronger, and more stable than others.

The main point all still boild down into militiary power.
why do you think US keep investing and maintain their militiary as the best on the world? forbid most country to have nuclear weapon, letting it monopolized only by few country.
have good resource? without proper militiary, will just end up llike middle east and africa where their resource got exploited.

First of all, the country's total economic GDP and per capita income rank among the highest in the world, and then the strength of technology and medical care in the world reflects the country's capabilities.

National prosperity is mainly reflected in military, economic, technological and people's livelihood issues. Only by improving the overall national strength can we see whether the country is strong or not.

According to societal analogy The Military Might of a country is the first thing to consider when comparing how powerful a country is to others. The level of a country's military intelligence  ,hardwares ,tactical operations,  records of successful battles won ,involvements in peace keeping in other countries and being an ally to smaller countries who seek military help to combat external and internal aggressions etc are part of the qualities used to identify a powerful country

More so , as power have different types,  the second criteria used to qualify a powerful country is its Economic Status , which involves   ,the high standard of living of the citizens of a country , the sufficiency of food supply of a country , the availability of jobs and social amenities ,the presence of industries and production companies etc

Another criteria would be The Political Stability of a country,  the favourable laws that encourages the freedom of Human Rights and laws that encourages economic policies  etc  ,shows how powerful a country is

Analysis need more research and the consultation to be able to understand exactly the area or the angle you are making your reference or a bond from so what I believe that your combination of writing or composition is very okay but I couldn't be able to figure out exactly what you are saying

military power is the major one, then strong political allies is the second one.
If your military power is well equipped other countries will be affair and any policy or ideals egaited by the powerful country will be respected by all because of the military power of that country. That's why today, whatsoever the US says always stand.
Every country should strength Their military power and associates with powerful allies in the world to command respect.
