Is the msi z170a gaming pro carbon any good for 7 rx5xx cards?

If not that one, what other board will support 7 5xx cards?

Thanks
Z170 won't work with 7 gpu. Z270 works. Asus Z270 Prime can run up to 9 gpu.

Any ATX B250 motherboard would be a good choice.
The combined PCIE lanes of that chipset and a kaby lake CPU are 28, sufficient for up to 7 GPUs (4 lanes each).

Check out the Asrock B250 Pro4 and the ASUS PRIME B250 PLUS
Hew did you try the Asus prime one? i'm thinking of getting it for my new build.

I have a choice of three mobos that I can find in stock and at decent prices...

1. ASRock Z97 Anniversary - (6no. PCIe)
 - about £95 / $115

https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Motherboards/ASRock-Z97-Anniversary-ATX-Intel-Socket-1150/B00LA6PPBW

2. Asus Intel PRIME Z270-K LGA 1151 ATX - (6no. PCIe)
- about £120 / $145

http://www.ebuyer.com/769654-asus-intel-prime-z270-k-lga-1151-atx-motherboard-prime-z270-k?mkwid=sWA3N2WiH_dc&pcrid=51630194939&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=CKSc3eS09dMCFSUW0wodO8MDzg

3. Asus H81-M Plus LGA 1150 ATX - (4no. PCIe)
- about £45 / $55

https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/asus-h81m-plus-intel-h81-socket-1150-micro-atx-motherboard/90mb0gi0-m0eay0.html?gclid=CNKn2Zzu99MCFa-37QodS_cHOw

Ideally id get an ASRock H81 Pro BTC but these are rare as hens teeth or pricey pricey pricey...

Has anyone got any experience with using any of the options above?

The 4no. PCIe mobo (if usable) would be used for 4 GPUs (obviously) then in a few months when cash flow allows for purchase of two more GPUs id sell it and buy a different, 6no. PCEi mobo to take the extra cards.

Thoughts much much much appreciated

Z97 anniversary is not good for 6 GPU, I heart that 4 or 5 are fine. That Asus H81 propably won't run 4 GPU without bios edit or hardly. The Asus Prime K is good it can run 9 gpu I think if it's that version or at least 8 gpu. I've bought Prime P version didn't tested yet, but it can run up to 8 gpus.

Well maybe, try to find if it has bios settings for TOLUD set it to lower than 4G or above 4G. B150 chipset will not run more than 4 max out is 5 and it will run only on Biostar TB150 I think.

Maybe try one of these it's all Asrock. I think the used Z170 (MSI, ASUS) would be best low budget mobo if you can't get BTC ones, Z170 can run 6 gpu with some troubles.
http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/motherboard-for-ethereum-mining/

Stay away from Z170-A Pro though, there is no way to set TOLUD directly in BIOS and it actually refused to boot system with 3 cards in(4G decoding was set in BIOS, did fuck all to help, had to flash down bios to G version for it to work with 2 cards).

So maybe someone of you guys have or see somewhere mobo for 1150, 1155 with ddr3 to sell Huh minimum 4 cards very nice will be for 6 because this is my goal
6 gpu mobo aren't cheap, oh well they are but only in US or CN. The Biostar TB250 is pretty cheap but it's out of stock everywhere, you can get one on Ebay or Aliexpress but it cost like 200 USD + shipping.
I've just bought the Asus Z270 Prime P
Guys here testing the A version, but it's little bit more expensive and you can run same ammount of cards.
https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=155

Only cheap mobo for 4+ gpus are the Asrock H81 Pro or H97 you can get them on Amazon but prices are different on different Amazon stock locations. Also Z170 chipset should go with 4 gpu with bios changes.

The best is the Asrock H81 PRO BTC as it will recognize 6 cards directly without any issues. Second option is the MSI Z270 chipset based motherboards. These two motherboards together with Biostart T250 has the fewest issues running multi GPU. I am using a Z97X gaming from Gigabyte and made it run with 3 GPu after quite some difficulties so yeah, stick to Asrock H81 PRO BTC for best support in Multi Gpu mining.

For me mobo with ddr3 will be better because i have in my house 8gb free of ddr3 so i will save 50euro for next card
Yeah that's right then.

i can buy ddr3 for 40-60 euro 8gb, i can't find for the same price ddr4
I can buy in Czech republic Crucial DDR4 2133MHz 1x 8GB for 56 EUR and 2400MHz for 59 EUR. I've just bought 4GB 2400MHz Crucial Ballistix with heatsink for 35 EUR. I think for Win 10 is pretty enough 4GB I had some problems with Win 7 but 10 use only about 1.5-3 GB in normal usage.

would be good to have something with m2 so i cna get rid of some cables

...oh just noticed that the biostar have an m2 that's great better than the asrock

the problem with this MB versus the h81 pro btc, is the cost of the memory, it cost much more than the old ddr3 8gb...
You mean DDR4? In EU you could buy DDR4 with better price than DDR3 i mean new one not used.
